What do you think - should we keep all of the dynasty threads for the league in this sub forum?

I think so. I am going to merge all the EBFL stuff into one thread to clear out the clutter.

Especially since sliders won't be fixed until the next patch, I was wondering as well.

i've been using what EF27 mentioned in the AA vs Heisman thread for NOFL and I like them a lot in my limited experience so far.

I have seen more penalties with the sliders set at 95 instead of 100. YMMV

Just waiting on RKG and cmp - would be great if we could start sooner than planned!

Guys as much as I hate to do it, I am gonna have to boot RKG. He's a good guy but he hasn't responded to a few PM's, or any of the threads, and Kodos already booted him from the RFL for the same thing.

With that said, I'd like to welcome Karlfornia to the league who will step in to take over USF.

Getting paranoid all of a sudden - we were only supposed to set our recruit lists, there was no actual recruiting to do - right?

You are good. You cannot recruit until week 1 starts so no worries. I am at work and won't be home till 8 so if someone could let me know if Karl is all set I will advance tonight.

Cool. I quickly ran through a season of dynasty yesterday afternoon just to get a loose feel for how it worked - but i couldn't remember that detail.

Recruiting has changed quite a bit since the last version I played (either 06 or 07) - but it still seems relatively easy to get your head around.

Yeah, if we weren't all competing against each other, I would definitely be pumping you guys for some recruiting advice. I'm playing a solo dynasty, my first, just to see how it works. I've gotten lots of "soft commits" but if I remember from a previous version, they rarely actually stay.

Brad, I posted this in the main thread over on OT...I also remember soft verbals never committing in the last version. I'm only through one offseason so far, but I had only one soft verbal during the season (the #1 CB in the country) and he became a hard commit the week later. And following guys I've recruited who have given soft verbals to other schools, most if not all of them are staying.

In my trial run I had a ton of soft verbals and I didn't track in detail, but I know at least some of the committed.

Yeah, last year getting a soft verbal was pretty much the worst thing ever.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have purposely not gone for any reach recruits just so I can have a stable first class but it's good to know that a soft commit is not the kiss of death.

I have signed most of the soft commits to me. If another team is close in interest, you have to continue to work the recruit pretty hard.

I have also stolen at least two soft commits to other schools when I was the second in interest in very close to first in interest bar length.
