This week there are 3 user games:

Sun Tzu's Stanford plays Rutgers

SirFozzie's Texas A&M plaus LSU

I think I'm the only game left after week 3 is completed. Monday-Wednesday are kinda busy for me but Thursday or Sunday are pretty good days this week for me to get my game in. I'll try not to hold everyone up.

Good luck to all humans in their games this week!

The Stanford Cardinal defeated the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to win the Sun Bowl today. The final score was 42-30.

All American QB Andrew Luck (FR) was knocked out for the first half of play, but HB Anthony Kimble (SR) made up for it with a couple scores on the ground. Luck came back in the second half and led 3 scoring drives. He completed 64% of his passes for 2 TD's, 0 INT's, and scrambled for 1 TD as well.

Texas A&M won their 11th game of the year, defeating LSU 49-27.

Don't be mistaken though, this was a REALLY tough game. We pretty much kept their offense in check, but two of their scores were non-offense related (Pick Six and a KO return for a TD). But when they scored a rushing TD, they took a 27-26 lead with 0:45 to play. But the two point conversion attempt proved pivotal. The two point conversion pass was taken back 102 yards for a defensive 2 point conversion, and Texas A&M immediately retook the lead, 28-27.

Shortly after that, McGee threw a risky pass that was perfectly placed, and LSU was officially broken.

I had a friend of mine tell me that if I had pulled those two plays off against him in short order, he would've been about ready to throw the controller at me, and call me a "completely F***ing luckbox".

I'm confused a little. Was it 26-27 with :45 left to play and the final score was 49-27? You scored three touchdowns and intercepted the two point conversion in 45 seconds?

If so, that's really amazing.

I'm assuming Karlifornia still has to play his game since he has posted about controller issues in other league threads. I'll check this evening either way to see if we are ready to advance.

Ah, that's much less amazing but great nonetheless.

I was about to throw the controller myself, and then the Pick-Two happened, to retake the lead, and then the "oh shit! That's going to be picked... HE CAUGHT IT... GO!" play

btw, we beat South Carolina in the Music City Bowl. We fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter, but we hung in there to make it 14-6 at halftime. Then the wheels came off for Chris Smelley and the Gamecocks. Mikell Simpson scored on a long hb screen play, Smelley threw two picks, and our defense was blanketing their receivers.

The final score wound up 29-14. It was a very satisfying end to our season.
