RFL Season 1, Week 1: Files due by Thursday (8/7) at 10 EST

Hey guys. I'm going to give until midnight on Wednesday the 30th for everyone to do their preseason stuff, and then I will advance the game to the next stage. Get those files in (or face the iron fist!)

Here's the schedule so far. I have incorporated all the OOC changes, I believe. Bolded games are ones that have been changed from the original schedule.

As long as people have been able to schedule enough humans, yes. Working on that now.

I'm extending the deadline until 8pm EST on July 31st to give RKG a chance to get his files in, while also giving folks a shot to play a game tomorrow night.

Thanks for all the great work and time spent Kodos. I greatly appreciate it. However, this doesn't mean that I'm going to go easy on Indiana on and off the field.

Here is the official schedule. I've successfully entered everything into the game. I'll apologize to KWhit now, as he has three tough road games to start things off. I wanted to switch one to a home game, but couldn't make it happen. My regrets, and good luck, sir.

Everyone, please let me know if you spot any issues.

Beauty. That would be sweet to get a game in tomorrow night. UW has a huge rivalry game in Eugene. Can't wait.

Okay, we have advanced to the regular season. Let the games begin!

Also, RKG has been removed from the league due to lack of participation/communication. A replacement will be announced soon.

Ohio State recruiting is done for this week. Hey I have a question. I can edit the roster in the Dynasty menu. Is there any recmmendations against doing this? I really want my guys to have the correct names if possible but dont want to screw anything up.

I wouldn't be doing any changes. I would wait until Kodos or EF27 checks in due to the problems the rosters have been having.

I don't think that's a good idea until we get some confirmation that it doesn't hurt anything.

Obviously like a dumbass I already edited a player. I'm really sorry and I hope it doesnt jack anything up.

Anyways I went up big early in my game so I supersimmed almost 3 quarters. Final score 153-13. Jeezus.

One complaint I have is the TV Schedule. Seems like the bigger, higher-rank games are regulated to the dish, and not getting national TV attention.

Yep. He didn't act very interested in the league or make an effort to hit the deadline. I want owners who will keep up with stuff and be a team player. Opening but not responding to PMs or even bothering to come over to FOFC to see what was up was the nail in the coffin.

I agree with you on everyone being involved. It's already pretty fun, and I suspect it will get more exciting as time goes by.

I said from the start that I'd rule with an iron fist.

Seriously, as long as someone keeps in touch and lets me know what's up, they're fine. But if I see files not getting in, and get no response as to why that is happening, then I am going to be thinking long and hard about removing that owner.

Is there a weekly "sim schedule", for lack of a better term. We talked about a 7 day schedule to get 2 games in? How does that work if we can only play one week at a time? You know what I'm trying to ask?

I think the rule will be that after each sim round, people will have 7 days to take care of that week's games/recruiting. If everyone finishes up before the 7 days are over, then we will advance. But people will always have a full 7 days to get their activities finished.

Hey. I'm in. I don't know a damn thing about Minnesota, but I wanted to play in the Big Ten because there are a lot of human-owned teams in it. I assume that the Gophers are still playing in the Metrodome in this game, since they don't move into their outdoor stadium until next year. I picked Minnesota because I wanted to play in a dome.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm all for simming my game against the FCS team if that's indeed the case (I still haven't even opened my NCAA 09 game yet).

Hmmm.....I just logged into the Dynasty and it shows my record as 2-0. Also, when I look at the "Campus Gazette" newspaper, in the boxscore, it says that we won 60-54??? WTF.

It still shows you winning 30-27 when I logged in or something like that to me (I had to come back downstairs because my laptop isn't receiving my wireless network for some reason.

Yeah, on the main dynasty page, where it shows all of the users and you can kind of tab through them. On that page it shows the score as 30-27 but it also shows our record as 2-0.
