RFL 2009, Week 15 - Deadline 1/5 (Monday) at 11 pm EST
Just USC vs. Notre Dame this week, so maybe we'll be able to knock this week out before the deadline.

Rumor I'm hearing is that Galaxy gets fired if the Golden Domers don't beat the Trojans this week.

Galaxy and I had a great game. So much fun without the lag this year. It was back and forth with a lot of good action, but when Galaxy brought his tough blitz late in the 4th, we went over the top to Travon Patterson for a long TD that gave us a 35-23 lead. He responded with a nice 2 minute drill, but we got the onsde kick. Then Stafon did what he has done well for the last 5 games as he made a few big plays to get us some 1st downs so we could run out the rest of the clock. The 35-30 win should secure our place in the National Championship Game

Good game.
We just can't seem to stop teams in those third and long plays. That 4th and 13th on our 31-yard line threw me off as well. That Davis is mighty fast. Suggs just doesn't have the speed to keep up with him. Hopefully our top three corners who will be suiting up next year will help. The two turnovers killed us. The halfback screen just broke down and I forced it. The other, your linebacker just sort of came out of nowhere for that. As for an offside kick, they are hard. |

Come on, BCS...go all JiMGA on TCU's ass and send them to the Sugar Bowl.

Since I was up by 4, I never would have gone for that 4th and 13 except that my kicker is a walk-on who sucks. From previous games, I know he has almost zero chance outside of 45, so I figured I'd channel my inner Pete and go for it. Travon was a track star in H.S. and I think his speed in the game is either 97 or 98 with great accleration. In real life, he never beats the press like he does in this game, or the Trojans would be throwing the ball deep to him. Hopefully, he can develop in real life some more. Yeah, we both got sloppy with some stupid throws at the end of the half as we were trying to get in 1 last score. I've never recovered an onside kick - they are very difficult. |

That's what I figured about your kicker (inesucks too; seems like the game creates poor kickers (just look at the recruiting classes of kickers) that aren't realistic). I just was caught off guard and didn't get the right play/coverage in. I was trying to decide to use a TO or not. I'm hoping I can land one receiver I am after. He's only a three-star recruit, but he's got a 6'5' frame to go with his 4.20 speed. Last edited by Galaxy : 12-30-2008 at 02:11 PM. |

Awesome. Bring on the Bowl games and Missouri. I'm gonna put a whoopin on them in the Holiday Bowl since they cost me some nice cash yesterday in their real life Bowl.

Yeah. We haven't had much luck getting stuff before deadlines lately. Hopefully now that the holidays are over, things will start moving along again.
