Karl, I'm having ATT uverse installed Saturday morning so I'm going to be offline until this evening if all things go well. Otherwise right now I'm mostly open Sunday and it looks like I should be available any time after 7pm CT on Monday or Tuesday. Any times in there work for you?

I'm going to be out of town until late Sunday night. I should be able to get my game in Monday after work...just as a heads up.

USC has signed athlete/PA announcer Dan Patrick.
We also beat our hated rival 48-10 to guarantee that we will be in the National Championship Game. |

In a battle of Tigers vs. Tigers, Clemson beats Missouri 45-24 in Columbia. We didn't have to do much on offense, as freshman Fred Cutler ran a kickoff back for a TD, Missouri had 5 TO's, and Superman--oh..I'm sorry.. junior defensive end DaQuan Bowers--had 5 (not a typo) sacks.
Good game, kcchief. We'll have to do it again sometime

Yeah, Bowers had an incredible game. I've increasingly gotten away from the run with this team because, as demonstrated in this game, we can't run the ball. The first turnover on the first drive was the killer. I spend the rest of the game chasing you. The kickoff return as a huge momentum blow.
Didn't help that when I stopped you, bad things still happened. Down by seven and I got your running QB to fumble the ball and couldn't grab it ... and your running back dived on it for a first down. Double oof. Then I had you backed up for third and forever from your own one yard line and couldn't quite get the safety. You just seemed to escape every time I thought I had you. Good game. With the fourth quarter had been more of a challenge for you. |

PSU squashed Western Kentucky as expected. I can't believe how bad their defense was. I seriously think I could have scored 150 points if I hadn't let up...at halftime. I spent most of the second half running up the gut and letting the clock wind down. Very boring. Castillo completely 15 of 17 passes for 260 yards and 5 or 6 TD's. 9 of those passes went to Zach Wright for a little over 200 yards and I think 4 TD's. We racked up something like 450 yards on the ground too, with both HB's getting well over 100 yards.
Now i just need Texas to lose to either TCU, or whoever they play in the Big 12 championship.

Folks in Happy Valley were not so happy with the results of the Texas game, as the Longhorns remain ahead of Penn State in the BCS standings. Last edited by Kodos : 04-14-2009 at 11:48 PM. |
