The Ladder 2016 Season Thread

It's time to set up those recruiting boards, redshirt your newbies, adjust your depth charts, and work on your schedules.

As always, humans are not allowed to play FCS teams. Here are the out of conference schedules for each team. Let me know which teams you want added to or removed from your schedule.

The spoiler is just to save me some scrolling each week when I edit this post...

If I can fill an open date with a high ranked team I'd like to do so in week 5. Otherwise I am good to go.

Your schedule is full, so if you want to add a high ranked team, you'll need to replace one of the existing opponents on your schedule.

I will let you know on scheduling changes tonight. I might have to move one of my games for promises I made.

My down year last season is going to KILL recruiting. Luckily I'm not in dire straits and can weather this, but so far I've found 1 WR that might actually be worth recruiting, out of 22 players I've taken a look at. Looks like most of my recruiting will be trying to steal players away from other schools...

I owe UTSA a game at his place. How about week 3? If that works, I'd like to move UNC to a home game on week 8. If week 8 doesn't work for them, any old week will do.

I wouldn't mind subbing

Wk 6 UL Lafayette

with a PA school (Penn State would be great, if not, Temple or Pitt)

Also would love to see if I can get Syracuse instead of UConn...

Im getting ready to play my week.
I need to get an AT Louisiana team to replace one of my FCS...UL Monroe, Lafayette, LA Tech...if available.

And AT South Carolina for the other if possible.

Looks like the FCS are my only home OOC games and I need these two on the road. Any chance of Wyoming being switched to home and maybe Memphis (I need Tx St to stay on the road)

I was in the middle of the game and lost power. It wasn't for long, but long enough to kill me....sigh...I was up too against Syracuse.

I hate how this game cheats to make sure it wins close games. I go in and set my defense to play deep on a 3rd and 15, telling them to play deep zones. I call a 3 deep zone. My safety acts like it is a play action play and OK. State gets an easy go ahead TD on what should have been their last offensive play. So frustrating. We dominated the whole damn game and they got by with freak plays.

Their 87 speed QB also outran my team like he had WAY more speed than that on his 85 yard run.

Hard-fought 20-10 victory over our rival UCF. My WRs got the dropsies, so we had a hard time developing a consistent passing game, but our running game worked very well, and our defense played pretty well. Had some key longshot recruits in the stands, so that made the win more crucial.

Started off with a win.
Initially we were up huge when a system freeze caused a replay....and won a much closer game.

But a win is a win.

That seems to happen a lot. A least to me. I think there is something wrong with my 360. It actually froze just loading the game today.

We were able to take care of Georgia Tech 42-27.

Not done my game yet, but had to post about this first half against Oklahoma...

I decided to start my senior QB over the more mobile young QB figuring the young QB would come in if Shaw struggled but Shaw had a huge game in response. Shaw's first half stat line is 13 of 13 for 260 yards with 5 TD's and 0 INT's.

We've forced a few turnovers and are up 42-3 at the half over Oklahoma!

We brought in subs early in the 2nd half and just focused on running out the clock. 49-10 win. Our final stat lines for our QB's as they were both perfect:

Shaw: 15 of 15 for 289 yards with 6 TD's
Thurman: 1 of 1 for 25 yards.

Baker had 20 carries (mostly in 2nd half) for 96 yards.

Johnson: 5 catches for 135 yards and 3 TD's.
Gross: 4 catches for 52 and 2 TD's.

Hodges: 2 catches for 28 yards and a TD.
Turner: 3 catches for 74 yards.
S. Johnson: 1 catch for 25 yards.

Excited to see what our senior QB can do this season now

I'm going to need to ask for an extension. I'm on the road, and won't be able to get my game done until Saturday, or more likely Sunday.

Game froze up as I was uploading..this just chaps my ass. I won 55-39, dominated Syracuse defensively and the 4* Freshman QB from TN went all Johnny Football on their asses....grr.....
