3) What level and skill points is the commissioner assigning.
4) Quarter Length
5) And other modifiers (penalties etc)

I want to practice as close as possible to what we are going to see.

4) Quarter Length PROBABLY 7 OR 8 MINUTES
5) And other modifiers (penalties etc) I AM OPEN TO SLIDER SUGGESTIONS. MY INITIAL IDEA WAS JUST TO GO DEFAULT ALL-AMERICAN SLIDERS, BUT SOMEONE SAID THAT PASSING WAS TOO EASY. I'LL GO WITH WHATEVER THE MAJORITY WANTS.

I want to practice as close as possible to what we are going to see.

One thing to note. You will most likely want to turn Recruiting Board Assistance, Scholarship Offer Assistance, and Visit Assistance off. You can do this under the Coach Philosophy menu when you are logged into the OD, or you can do it on the website (linked in my sig).

I've done my recruiting on the web. I have no points left but I see I'm still red as far as my ready status. I thought it would make sense to use the change button and the only option there is to retire which doesn't seem right. How do I get myself to show green and ready to advance?

I've always been commish, and have never had to change the status ... so I don't know. Maybe one of the other guys can answer?

Does recruiting sometimes take a while to be available? I'm just getting a white screen when I try to load it on my pc.

I have never tried it on the PC for the NCAA 14 version. In prior versions, it always loaded pretty quickly and I never got a white screen.

Week 1 worked just fine with recruiting. All other sections are working fine for week 2 except recruiting. Odd.

I'm not sure if it changes if you just do stuff online. I'm in another league and whenever I have a bye week and do recruiting on the web I just post to mention that I've done it and that i'm ready, dunno if there's another way without loading the game.

Its working for me right now. The website is frequently complete shit. Once it lets me make an action (like allocating recruiting points) I've always had it work, but there are many times where I just can't get to things on the site.
