I don't get this.

Building A: Warehouses 1-5, & Slave Pens
Building B: Power Facilities 1-5 & Water Plant
Building C: Security HQ, Armory, and Brig
Building D: Crew Quarters, Medical Facilities, Scientists’ Lab, Officers’ Offices

Power Facilities 1-5 On the planet, it provides power to buildings B (facility 1), C (facility 2), and D (facility 3) and also to the perimeter fence (facility 4).

Why did Hoops working on facility 2 effect the perimeter fence? That is powered by facility 4

Unless Barkeep made a mistake, that makes no sense to me. Maybe the Spawn somehow frigged with it to hook the fence to facility 2 to screw with us? If so these are rather subtle Spawn.

No, hoops rerouted power from the backup facility to the fence, which for now fixed the fence problem. We might want to investigate to see if whatever is wrong can get a long-term fix.

The weird thing is I expected hoops to reroute power from the backup to facility 2, which would be logical since our original plan was to finish converting facility 2.

His order was vague. That might have been his intention. When he sent the order in I asked him to be clearer in the future so it's possible I misunderstood the message. In this case though I will not be undoing it if it was a mistake.

rerouting the power will extend the life of the fence until tomorrow morning tops. So instead of failing tonight it will fail tomorrow. An engineer can make it last longer but it seems it won't make it past night 4 now.

Yes, looking back Hoops was asking for clarification on what he was supposed to do with rerouting, so that was probably the problem.

BK, I don't think you need to tell us stuff like that though. We'll muddle through.

So we should see if we can fix the fence, and then have Hoops reroute the power again before we lose access to the armory and HQ.

Ok, change of plans then. How about we continue the work converting the crew quarters, but instead of converting facility 2, have that engineer try to repair the fence. That will buy us more time and then at night we can start to push getting conversion done more quickly.

Well the crew quarters was the thing that was suggested before and seems the best choice. However I am now no longer able to do that today.

checking on if doing anything to the fence is even an option.

My distrust of Hoops is not due to this fence situation. I am getting bad vibes from him so far.

Plus Alan T is not playing so someone has to step up on the anti Hoops front.

Keep in mind though, the officers and security personnel have been given weapons each night, so they may be not a first choice in conversion at this point.

Dubb is still probably the smartest choice because we know he had interaction with spawn last night.
