I think so. I am using the Rock Band 2 stuff and it works perfectly.

That's music to my ears.

I hung up with Gamestop about 30 seconds before reading your post, making sure Will's pre-order had arrived & is ready for pickup. We should be annoying our big black cat (who hates loud rock as it turns out) shortly after finishing lunch.

Drumming is a lot harder on GH then RB though I am sure song selection has something to do with it. Just takes getting used to it.

Heh.

This is pretty much exactly what these games were made for afaic. If you could see my son swaying with the beat while playing the intro of For Whom the Bell Tolls you'd understand why I'm saying that right now.

ok so Im a RockBand guy BUT I went and picked this up today to play with my rockBand equipment and I have to say that either this game or idea of playing instruments at home hooked up to a screen to play musical karoke OR the Band: Metallica were absolutely made for eachother. No other song list quite shreds like this.....It was absolutely awesome playing today.

I think Will finished it (on easy) in about four hours, just wanting to rip through the songs because there's so many he likes. He normally plays up a level or two from there but from the few songs I tried I thought these were tougher than usual for the bottom end. Granted, I suck mightily but even I don't usually start sweating quite as quickly as I did here. One thing that struck me was how much longer many of these songs are than the usual music game fare, gonna need some stamina to get through them on the higher difficulties.

Oh yeah- quality Metallica is not from the age of 3 minute songs and they certainly weren't on the short end of song length when they were playing

Stamina's not a problem (that's what she said!), but I wear contacts and staring at the screen so long kills my eyes - they start burning and watering, and I usually can't go for more than 2-3 songs without having to rest my eyes.

I haven't played GH much in the past year, but I ran out and bought this. Awesome stuff.
