OT - April 29 Mount Rushmore - Musical Instruments

Most of you will know the rules.

What four entries belong on the Mount Rushmore of musical instruments?

Post your submission of four. No more, no less, no runners up or honorable mentions. Once you have done so, you have license to be part of any ongoing discussion.

Is it ok to use specific instruments (guitar vs electric guitar)?

...

Not sure what I like as my fourth. I'll be back later to fix it.

It's okay, but in my book it weakens the claim.

In such a broad definition, I'm thinking "guitar" as one entry includes both the campfire strummer and the Fender Stratocaster.

But that's part of the debate. Anything you want to enter is valid.

I was thinking about the hockey stick bass that Les Claypool played on Primus' last tour.

I'd love to put some sort of percussion instrument on there, but "drum" seems too general to me (almost like putting "low brass" or "woodwind").

Saxophone is easily the weakest on my board... thinking about it more I'd probably replace it with violin or harp or something more classical.

EDIT: This thread needs more cowbell.

dola-

I dig cuervo's "human voice" response. That's the best one on the board.
