6.3 and contracts

The only other league I am in is the PFL and I haven't had to do many renegs yet, the ones I have done have been fairly okay. However...

...it is going to be hard to keep very good performing players. I know some have mentioned it, I've seen in the main forums Ben's QB asking for $200 mil or something but now that I get to see it myself I can see how hard it is going to be.

QB Ross Hancock wants a lot of money, A LOT. Lots of my other players want huge contracts. Hancock is rated 55/55 but has obviously performed very well and his contract demands appear to be based on his performance - which is great. Not that this didn't happen before, but they asked for a lot less before 6.3.

I saw this last year. Before my QB Alicea retired, I wanted to resign him. He was asking for almost 3x what he was currently making, waaaaaay up from anything he had ever asked for. I'm really glad I didn't give in now, that bonus would have been a killer for me.

FYI

QB Ross Hancock is asking for.

Year 1 - $21 mil
Year 2 - $40 mil
Year 3 - $36 mil
Year 4 - $40 mil

If I really wanted to, I could let his contract expire and just keep tagging him until he retires, it would be a lot cheaper. Sure it abuses the tag but damned if I care, I would not be able to keep him, my 2 WRs, my LT, DEs and CBs without breaking bank.

WR Drew Jeffries is asking for a 5 year $68 mil contract extension, which is equal to the contract extension WR Morrish signed last year (in terms of money per year) - Jeffries is 66/66, Morrish is 79/79.

Wow. I decided not to resign Parliman because I thought he was asking too much, especially since I had a lot of other players (RFAs) I needed to resign. No chance to sign him and sign all my RFAs also. Hopefully, I can get him a lot cheaper in LFA

Not if the AI teams sign him before then.
