Wild Finish to FOF Game
From our office league:
4Q: 01:11 NJY - Leroy Westbrook 1 run. 4Q: 01:11 NJY - Rian Lindell extra point. 4Q: 00:50 NED - Dennis Barton 37 pass from Marc Bulger. 4Q: 00:50 NED - Adam Vinatieri extra point. 4Q: 00:31 NJY - Rusty Donaldson 78 pass from Tommy Maddox. 4Q: 00:31 NJY - Rian Lindell extra point. 4Q: 00:07 NED - Conrad Poole 12 pass from Marc Bulger. 4Q: 00:07 NED - Adam Vinatieri extra point. OT: 09:45 NED - Adam Vinatieri 29 field goal. No unusual kick returns either, drive lengths were 61, 80, 78, and 61 yards, with a 56-yarder for the winning FG in overtime. Edit: And I should add that the score was 14-14 at the end of the third quarter. NED had a 60-yard TD drive to start the quarter, NJY had a short 32-yard TD drive at the 5 minute mark, and then this exchange. Final score was 38-35.

Crazy finish.
We just had a crazy finish in the Imperial League this last weekend. Orlando and Vermont went at it in a divisional matchup and Vermont had a big 31-14 lead with only a couple minutes left. Vermont was forced to punt from their endzone and it was blocked, recovered for a TD by Orlando. Orlando then did an onside kick, recovered, and quickly scored a TD. They then did another onside kick and recovered that, and got the tying FG as time ran out. All for nothing though as Vermont took the opening OT drive down for the game winning TD. Got to love some of these endings...

1. Office league sounds cool, if you play when you should be working.
2. Was it 0-0 til that burst at the end? |

The joys of working at a game company Since turns only take a few minutes, and we have nice long compiles and builds throughout the day, it actually doesn't interfere with work. Quote:
Check the edit. 14-14 going into the 4th quarter, 21-21 at the start of the burst, 38-35 final.

I can't imagine trying to explain the game to people in my office to get a league going. Thats great. What happens if someone gets fired or leaves the company? Is that grounds for removal from the FOF League as well?

Hasn't happened yet in 2 years; we actually have reasonably low turnover. But they can do turns through e-mail (we've done it for people on vacation), so it all depends...
