Web Hosting (2023 version)
I've used GoDaddy for a long time now, because changing web hosts is a painful experience.
But like many of these companies, they simply cheat longtime customers who aren't paying attention, and I'm paying a reasonable rate for a service that's outdated and unusable. I can't even log in to my hosting panel without delays of 2-3 minutes for everything. The "free SSL" isn't being applied anymore (I guess my site certificate expired a while back and that's not cool). Can't reach customer service - it's all Chat stuff that can't understand even the simplest questions. I think that's by design. So, what's the answer these days? Is there any company out there that can provide the basics without charging extraordinary amounts? |

Can't really help you much but when I was looking to setup a wordpress a couple years ago, I know Bluehost came up & rated highly in "best of".
But no real experience. |

I've been using namecheap forever for my webhosting, it's easy and simple and they're pretty responsive.
