upgrade?

please tell me we arent upgrading till 15?

I don't see anything in 14 that makes me think it's must-see tv. I might create a 2nd smaller league for people who buy 14 (like new members who wanna SLOP) but I imagine we'll stay 13 unless most everyone upgrades and wants to. I am on beta so I'll see it evolve and can let you know when allowed but in general unless he overhauls financials or development not much can help us. Plus ee upgraded once in our history so far.

do you like doing beta? i did it for 11 or 12, and got tired of everyone shooting down any commentary, so i only did it once.

I think I've only missed one year in the last seven or eight years. I know there are voices he listens to more, but I have things in the game that I've seen a lot because of fast-sim and because of the financial mods I've developed over the years. So I feel like it's a good voice to have in there, even if people don't always pay attention.

Plus we often see stuff the others don't given the quirky ways we play.

If the FOOL/FOOLx or this league upgrades than I will too. If they don't, I really don't plan to make the purchase this year (1st time not upgrading since OOTP 4

) Like YD said - nothing groundbreaking on features this year - IMO.

There will be a satellite SLOP league probably with 8 teams that runs faster (hah) with OOTP14 if people here just happen to own it and want to play, plus we can test features and such. But no reason to upgrade every year unless everyone has it. Plus I find starting a league with a new version usually nets people to the league that might not otherwise consider it.

I miss doing the betas, i did 3 or 4 versions in a row, was a good time.

I agree, though, currently based on the feature list doesn't seem like a must-have, it seems like more of a maintenance release, which can be good.
