I caught up right before season 4 started, and felt basically the same way after binge watching seasons 1-3. Its an agonizing wait!

Next week on Talking Bad we've been promised a surprise cast member visit.

Those of us who have watched Talking Dead know that this may not bode well for said cast member.

Haha - yup. My thoughts exactly.

I am kinda surprised they only went with 30 minutes for Talking Bad, considering they realized the error of their ways with Talking Dead and moved that to an hour. Either way, really enjoyed Gilligan and Bowen (who could have easily talked for 2 hours).

That and the fury striking Hank on the drive home, as he thinks the ramifications through.

Agreed - you could see everything adding up and all the crap that he has seen/gone through in the last year and a half, and the realization that it all led back to Walt. Crazy.

Another thing - it blows my mind that the entirety of the series up to this point is only a year and a half of "real-time". I know we see Walt a few months down the road a couple times, so it will likely go past his 52nd birthday - but even that is only 2 years or so. So crazy.

Photos of Walt walking into his house on 3 consecutive birthdays. (or possibly, very close to his birthday, in the case of the 3rd photo).

"Hello, Carol!"

Fantastic stuff! Loved that they sped up the Walt-Hank confrontation. A lesser show would have done cat & mouse for 7 eps. And the Star Trek conversation by Badger was great stuff! So I read this on another forum, but it was interesting the Star Trek scenario relied heavily on the transporters, which use Heisenberg compensators in the Star Trek universe.

Most watched BB episode ever, more than double the number of viewers for the premiere of season 5A (I guess all the hype worked).

‘Breaking Bad’ Returns With Series High 5.9 Million Viewers; ‘Low Winter Sun’ Debuts to 2.5 Million Viewers - Ratings | TVbytheNumbers

Low Winter Sun btw lost 62% of the lead-in 18-49 and 51% of the total audience.

Still debating on whether I return to this one. Maybe give it another week but the first episode didn't grab me.

Of course BB was awesome.

"AMC is now home to cable’s top two dramas among adults 18-49."

That's pretty impressive. AMC gets it, obviously.

I recorded LWS as well - haven't watched it yet, but seeing Lennie James and David Constabile is enough to pull me in for at least one episode.

Just barely though. BB narrowly edged out Rizzoli & Isles this week.

You could say that again. I was talking to my mom on the phone yesterday, and she mentioned that she'd watched Sunday's episode. Why she decided to jump in and make that her first BB episode despite having a perfectly functioning Netflix account, I have no idea, but that's how you get your 200% increase.

Because they are being so up front about the "surprise guest" I'm assuming the trend you mentioned from Talking Dead is not going to continue here. If it does, Hardwick is going to get a lot of shit heh.

It would be awesome if the camera slowly panned up to show an old petrified pizza on the roof.

Last night's show? Any comments? Was there a lot of whispering or was my sound screwed up? Not sure I understood the segment with the lady. Can't wait for Hank/Jessie next week! Pretty much a ho hum episode, needed to happen but nothing earth shattering.

I've seen a lot of upset about the sound today myself. I thought it was very low in places but also thought that was intentional, for dramatic effect basically.

Yeah I think it probably was for effect because the normal scenes were fine and so were the commercials but my hearing sucks already and all the whispering was pissing me off because I couldn't catch about half of what they were saying.

I had the same problem last night despite having a surround sound system that was turned up. Maybe I'm hard of hearing too.

I only had a hard time understanding everything Walt was saying to Skylar in the bathroom.

I think I caught the gist of what Walt was saying, but almost considered swtiching on subtitles. I had the volume cranked.

And, yeah, it was a bit hard to understand everything Marie was saying when she and Skylar were in the bedroom.

In the first episode I had to re-wind the Walt-Hank confrontation twice to fully understand everything Hank was saying.

Yes! Thank you. I thought it was just my horrible hearing but I was having trouble with the garage scene last week also. Obviously they are going for dramatic effect but I believe the actors and script are good enough to not have to make it impossible to understand. Like you said I definetely got the jist that Skylar was sticking with Walt, and Marie was pissed at Skylar, and Hank was going to take down Walt but wish I could have caught more of the conversation.

It's been this way all 5 seasons. The audio level is a step or two below the commercials which makes it hard to hear anyway, but the dynamic range they use is so wide that if you turn it up to hear it when it's quiet, you'll blow your speakers when it gets loud.
