Lord of the Rings: Extended Edition Collection on Blu-Ray - 6/28
No new added footage or anything (one new documentary I believe). Kind of a hefty price at $119 list (Amazon has it for $83).

One does not simply pay $119 for a DVD collection without added footage.

I just have the standard dvds so I gotta get these. I can watch these movies over and over. But you're right it is kinda spendy.

Have had this on pre-order for a while now. Just went and checked and was pleasantly surprised to see that it's down to $70 on Amazon.ca. Used up a bunch of $5 amazon gift cards I redeemed from swagbucks and now the collection will end up costing me about $35. Quite looking forward to how this'll look and sound

Insta-preorder for these on Blu-Ray when they hit, we'll see who else does release week deals and gets Amazon to drop the price even from the $83. But scratch resistant + 1080P presentation? So there. We'll see what I can get for my DVDs...

Amazon has it for $70, matching Best Buy. Thanks to the pre-order price guarantee, that means my pre-order for $83 on Amazon is now a pre-order for $70...

Hmm - should i pay the extra $30 for the 6 pewter figurines at Best Buy? They'd go well with my Minas Tirith collectible...

Picked it up today at Walmart because I had 2 gift cards left over from the holidays. Other wise it was 85 bucks! So much cheaper elsewhere.
Kinda cool you can download all 3 free to itunes or windows media player with the coupon you get. So today hopefully I'll make it a LOTR movie day. Have a great 4th weekend all! |
