Our Monthly reminder that Warren Sapp's an Idiot
I'm not certain what he said, but I'm sure he had to have opened his mouth at least once this month...

He signed with the Raiders... that's reminder enough.

Hey! I miss Warren. "You so tough? Put a jersey on!"
Compared to Simeon Rice however, Sapp is Norman Einstein. Last edited by Dutch : 04-27-2004 at 09:37 PM. |

Don't hate the player, hate the game. You are going to be in a world of hurt this year when the raiders turn it around and sapp is the reason for it.

If I game-plan against the Raiders, I run right at Sapp all day long.

Sapp and his 3 sacks and 30 tackles over the course of the year will have all AFC teams cowering in fear!

There are two teams in the AFC that are total train wrecks, San Diego, and Oakland.
neither team has a shot at 8 wins anytime in the next 4 years. |

I'm still getting used to the notion that New England has become a perennial powerhouse...

Not to trash your opinion. But the Raiders will be the quickest return of anybody to the top of the league, and it is not because of Warren Sapp, but rather the multitude of additions that they have made. They are just over a year removed from the Bowl with just the right mix of youth and veteran leadership to plow right back into the picture. Rob Ryan's defensive philosophy, coupled with strong line play and solid corners are going to be miserable for OC's to plan for. "And that's all I've got to say about that"

Uhhhh... they're also less than half a year removed from 3-13. Gannon isn't getting any younger, Tuiasosopo isn't all-pro material, there's nobody to throw to, Norv Turner is an underachiever as a head coach, and while they beefed up the d-line and drafted a good OT, they still have a weak running game. I'm not counting on Oakland getting more than 6 wins... |

I read today that the Chargers have become the Bengals. I am not sure if they are officially going to switch nicknames though. But I like the idea. Get the worst record in the league, and you get to pick first in the draft, but you have to use the nickname "Bengals" the following year.

I think you're being generous...5-11, at best.
Gallery was probably as close to a sure thing as you'll get in a draft, but the Raiders still have a lot of question marks. Norv Turner might be a good offensive coordinator, but he sucks as a head coach. No way he can keep the lid on that seething cauldren in Oakland. |

Well, they DO get to play San Diego twice this year... although if Rivers is the real deal, that might not even be a given. |

Robert Gallery will lead the Raiders to a 16-0 season!
(actually if you must know, I hate the Raiders. I'll be very happy when Gallery's contract runs out and he gets the hell out of there) |
