Halifax First Baseman Chosen Best Rookie
Tuesday, November 18th, 2155: The Continental League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award winner for 2155 is Ken Garrett of the Halifax Winter Wolves.

This season the 22-year-old first baseman played in 147 games, recording a .315 batting average with 17 home runs, 75 RBIs and 70 runs scored.


RL's Best Rookie Selected
Tuesday, November 18th, 2155: The Republic League's Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award winner for 2155 is António Vargas, the 26-year-old right fielder for the Hartford Harpooners.

He won the award by hitting .361 and collecting 224 hits, 28 home runs, 115 RBIs and 57 walks with 100 runs scored and a .416 on-base percentage.

Castillo Takes Home CL Gabriel Prado Award
Thursday, November 20th, 2155: The Gabriel Prado Award for 2155 has been presented and the Continental League winner is Héctor Castillo of Noblesville.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Castillo. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Millers star told reporters.

Castillo excelled with an impressive 20-3 record in 32 starts. In 211.2 innings he yielded 186 hits and 34 walks, while striking out 130 and compiling a fine 2.34 ERA.


Big Year For Davenport, Wins RL Gabriel Prado Award
Thursday, November 20th, 2155: There's less room in Dale Davenport's trophy case today after he brought home the 2155 Republic League Gabriel Prado Award.

The talented Hartford Harpooners star finished the year 22-8 with a 4.03 ERA. He struck out 172 in 221 innings while walking 60.

2155 #1 Batter Chosen By CL
Friday, November 21st, 2155: It's been a year of triumph for veteran Dave Carlton of the Noblesville Millers as he hit his way to the 2155 Continental League Hideaki Tanaka Award.

The 29-year-old veteran compiled a .341 average and .399 on-base percentage by putting together 231 hits, 44 doubles, 3 triples, 43 home runs and 58 walks. He also scored 125 times and drove in 111 runs.

Friday, November 21st, 2155: There's something special about a guy who can stride up to the plate and put the ball anywhere -- in the stands, off the wall, into the gap, down the third base line. You name the place and António Vargas probably put it there on his way to winning the Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award for 2155.

The Hartford right fielder belted out 224 hits in compiling a .361 batting average and racked up 23 doubles, 1 triple, 28 home runs, 115 RBIs and 100 runs scored.

Hilarious that Tate wins the best fielder award at 1st this year. I had nobody for 1st when the season started, so I took my best bat left and plopped him here. He was an OF with no rating at 1st and 1s for all the infield abilities. Guess that says a lot about 1st base in OOTP. I always thought that ability didn't matter much at 1st in the game.
