CL Slick Fielder Award Winners Announced
Friday, November 5th, 2094: In baseball circles, a player who has good range, a good arm and good hands is a great catch. Clubs strive to be strong in the field, especially "up the middle." Solid defenders can make a difference in the outcome of tight games and tight pennant races. The Slick Fielder Awards for 2094 in the Continental League go to these standout defenders:

Friday, November 5th, 2094: "Hit 'em where they ain't" is a great hitting philosophy, but it doesn't always work when a fielder can seemingly appear out of nowhere to make the play. These magicians are often taken for granted as the season grinds along, but today they take center stage. The Republic League Slick Fielder Award selections for 2094 are:

Continental League Top Rookie Announced
Saturday, November 6th, 2094: Geoffrey Green put together a sparkling rookie season to snag the Continental League's Kien-lung Teng Award for 2094.

In 118 games, the St Louis catcher hit .305 with 123 hits, 4 home runs, 52 RBIs, 30 walks, 47 runs scored and a .354 on-base percentage.


RL's Best Rookie Selected
Saturday, November 6th, 2094: This year's outstanding newcomer has been selected and the honor goes to the Ann Arbor rookie Luis Mateo -- the recipient of the 2094 Republic League Kien-lung Teng Award.

The talented Wolverines shortstop took the trophy by hitting .275 in 162 games this season and finished with 194 hits, 14 home runs, 97 RBIs and 100 runs scored.

Top Pitcher Award Announced by CL
Monday, November 8th, 2094: This year the top votegetter for the 2094 Mauro Morales Award was Silvino Hope of the St Louis Hops, who finished with an outstanding 19-6 mark and an impressive 2.29 ERA.

In his award-winning season, the 34-year-old Hops star hurled 208.1 innings, chalking up 209 strikeouts and 53 walks, and limited hitters to a .244 batting average.


Las Vegas Ace Takes Mauro Morales Award
Monday, November 8th, 2094: The Mauro Morales Award for 2094 has been presented and the Republic League winner is Roberto Hernández of Las Vegas.

"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Hernández. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Wildcats star told reporters.

Hernández excelled with an impressive 20-7 record in 33 starts. In 229.1 innings he yielded 202 hits and 71 walks, while striking out 157 and compiling a fine 2.71 ERA.

CL's Premier Hitter, Sekine of Plantana
Tuesday, November 9th, 2094: Tokaji Sekine of the Plantana Pirates proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Continental League Bartolo Liriano Award.

Sekine hit for a .338 average while collecting 214 hits, 36 doubles, 5 triples, 29 home runs, 95 RBIs and scoring 90 times.


Bob Graves Named RL's Best Hitter
Tuesday, November 9th, 2094: Las Vegas's Bob Graves teed off on opposing pitching all season long and claimed the Republic League Bartolo Liriano Award today.

He belted out 186 hits in 525 at-bats to compile a .354 batting average and a .391 on-base percentage in 2094. He also tallied 14 doubles, 4 triples, 45 home runs, 144 RBIs, and 97 runs scored.
