Continental League Selects Premier Rookie
Monday, November 15th, 2151: Jorge Flores, right fielder of Noblesville, was the cream of the freshman crop in the Continental League and today he received the 2151 Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

He played in 141 games, compiling a .318 batting average with 150 hits, 19 home runs, 56 walks, and a .418 on-base percentage. Flores also chipped in 61 RBIs and scored 90 times.


Rodríguez Captures 2151 Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award
Monday, November 15th, 2151: All the games have been played, all the votes have been counted and the recipient of the prestigious Republic League Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award is José Rodríguez of the Toronto Marlboros.

This talented first-year performer hit .304 and put up a .389 OBP. In 141 games this year, the third baseman collected 137 hits in 450 at-bats, 20 home runs, 72 RBIs and scored 72 times.

CL Awards Outstanding Pitcher Trophy
Wednesday, November 17th, 2151: He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Reginald Oprel performed like a veteran on the hill for the Noblesville Millers and walked away with the Continental League Gabriel Prado Award in the process.

The 24-year-old Millers star fashioned a 16-8 won-loss record in 2151 with a 2.66 ERA. In 219.2 innings of work and 32 starts, Oprel struck out 185 while giving up 190 hits and 61 walks. He held opposing batters to a .233 average.

Ávila Named RL Gabriel Prado Award Winner
Wednesday, November 17th, 2151: Tough in the clutch -- that's what a bullpen specialist needs to be. And one of the best in the league this season was Francisco Ávila of the Hartford Harpooners, who was today announced as the winner of the Republic League Gabriel Prado Award.

In 2151 Ávila appeared in 69 games and converted 45 saves in 49 save opportunities. The Harpooners star had a 6-4 mark with a 2.72 ERA. He also chalked up 73 strikeouts and walked 19 in 72.2 innings of work. Opposing hitters managed a .216 average against him.

Manuel Selected 2151 CL Hideaki Tanaka Award
Thursday, November 18th, 2151: Carlos Manuel has been around Front Office Offseason League enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2151 season, he's taking home the Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Continental League.

The Noblesville right fielder put up a batting average of .344 with 31 doubles, 3 triples, 38 home runs and 124 RBIs.


Dave Carlton Gets Best Bat Trophy
Thursday, November 18th, 2151: Wherever Dave Carlton signs on next year, the second baseman will be hauling home a good paycheck after the impressive season he just wrapped up. Carlton received word of his Republic League Hideaki Tanaka Award selection earlier today. That should make him a valuable commodity for next year.

In 2151 he boasted a .343 average and a .399 on-base percentage as he piled up 222 hits, 43 doubles, 8 triples, 20 home runs, 97 RBIs and 99 runs scored.
