Was hoping this thread would be back.

So is bodog the main site left to place online bets?

Hit on FIU tonight. I'm using betonline.com. 5dimes still gets a lot of good reviews but it's really tough to deposit with them.

By the way, if you guys are wary of betting online with all the legal issues and what not, check out Draftstreet.com:

http://www.draftstreet.com/register.aspx?r=e825b5a

Pretty sweet site that offers fantasy sports for cash. Since fantasy is considered a game of skill rather than chance, it's 100% legal. I've been playing daily fantasy baseball all summer with a lot of success. They also have weekly baseball.

They just set up the NFL leagues
yesterday.
Basically you put together a roster of 2 QB's, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 TE, 1 DST, 2 FLEX (RB,WR,TE) under a salary of $100,000. Every player obviously has a salary tag (Vick is around $16K for week 1). You can join as many weekly leagues as you want and prices range from $2 to $420. Prizes depend on the size of league you join. I'm loving the 3 person $22 leagues. 1st place gets $60.

Anyway, I've had a lot of fun on the site and it's a very nice outlet for a betting fix.

Why is the TCU line tonight so low? I feel like I'm being suckered.

This sounds pretty awesome, the site is blocked from work but will look at it on my Iphone at lunch. Do they take all major credit cards? Cash out with checks? Any problems cashing out?

I wouldn't worry too much. Baylor is the darling school that all the pundits think is going to do something this year. TCU is so fantasically coached that they will easily cover that line. The only worry you should have is that I am on this one and I already had a horrible night last night.

I use bookmaker.eu. Used to be bookmaker.com but lost that domain to the Feds You can pay from the US and they offer real good football futures/lines. They actually have live chat customer service who are extremely friendly and patient if you have issues/questions.

They're setup in a manner that protects your money, with only the domain exposed. When their .com got seized, the next day they were up with the .eu site and sent an email immediately to everyone with money saying don't worry.

Yeah the ease of depositing is the best part. I use PayPal but they do take all credit cards. Took out my 1st withdrawal last week and received a check 3 days later. No hassle at all. Good stuff.

The game opened at -5.5 and apparently that number got pounded by the Baylor side. Griffen for Baylor is a stud and you have to assume the game is more meaningful to Baylor.

I realize there is no good reason for people not looking at the program to take UCLA seriously, but as someone who does, I can tell you, the opening line of +3.5 @ HOU is a ridiculously good play.

I don't know if that line has moved some since (it should have, that's where it opened).

I heard the line on W&M @ UVA is around -7... Sure seems like an enticing number. Of love W&M, we beat them two years ago, but that's a REALLY small number for an FCS team against a BCS team.

Got in on TCU -4 1/2

BSU/GA line is down to 3. Wonder if it dips even more before game time.

Had the OVER in Baylor/TCU which was pretty much a win in the 1st quarter. Nice to get one of those for a change.

Also have Seahawks -3. Heard all week they'd be playing the starting Oline and other starters longer then usual for a 4th Pre-Season game.

Bigsmooth, if you keep on posting these 'winners' like FIU and the TCU-Baylor Over after the games been played, then I expect you to do quite well.

I'll check in tomorrow around midnight for your insight into the Oregon-LSU and perhaps the Boise-Georgia games.

Ha, really? Didn't realize this was a contest. And why would it matter to me if you guys think I'm a big winner? Maybe I misinterpreted the spirit of this thread?

As for the games you mentioned, I won't be betting either of those. I do think Oregon and Boise win, however.

My plays for tomorrow, so far:
Michigan -14
Houston -3 (+100)
Northwestern +3
Tulsa/Oklahoma OVER 64.5
Buffalo/Pitt UNDER 56
Marshall/West Virginia UNDER 55

Still pondering Indiana -6 after reading this article on Grantland:
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/...diana-football

Sounds like a cool coach.

On Bama -21 1/2 for the 1st half, may play the whole game. Nothing else early standing out to me but I'm flying by the seat of my pants so why would it. I'm just stoked footballs back.

Jesus H. Bama is up 24, just need to run things out. They drop a punt but recover it then decide to run a play instead of just run out the clock and they fumble the damn ball. Phew, review showed he was down. I hate this so much yet I missed it with all my heart.

I'm on Michigan at -14. Figure that is a pretty talented roster and they are playing in the Big House. Robinson is worth 14 alone. He should go wild today.
Ended up throwing down on the Hoosiers at -6. They will throw the ball around and have some talent at WR.

Geez the UW/EWU line went from 18 to 15.5. People are on Eastern. Meanwhile, Montana, who has more talent then Eastern is a 25.5 dog against Tennessee. Tempted to bet UW even without Polk. They have some good talent at RB behind him with Collier and true frosh Bishop Sankey. Keith Price will probably surprise a lot of people in the Pac 12 this year, he's very solid. Plus Husky stadium is a great homefield.

Maybe I just talked myself into it.

Got super lucky when UCLA missed that extra point.

Just put down a moneyline parlay with LSU/Georgia. Why not.

La Tech starting a 17 year old QB on the road. So Miss going with a 4 year starter. Gonna go So Miss -11. Kinda weird the line has gone from -13.5 to -11 though...?

Got some pretty good future bets down 2 weeks ago:

1. Football NFL Futures - To win AFC South Division - Houston Texans +140 (got this down just in time as it's off the board at most books)

2. Football NCAA Futures - To win the 2012 BCS National Championship - LSU +1500 (a win tonight would be huge)

3. 2011-2012 NFL Regular Season Wins - Cincinnati Bengals - Under 5½ Season Wins +130(Love this as the odds are now -160 for same bet)

4. Football NFL Futures - Player Futures - NFL QB to Record Most Regular Season Passing Yards - Ben Roethlisberger +2000

La. Tech will use 17-year-old QB vs. Southern Miss - Houston Chronicle

Ha that's what I get for trying to do some research. That was probably the most brutal game of football I've sat all the way through. Just sloppy, ugly offense. There was talk of SoMiss running the table, but it looked like they hadn't practiced all offseason.
