Earthquakes this Year

What is up with all these earthquakes? I don't remember so many earthquakes in such a short amount of time. Here's a list of "Major Earthquakes" this year, if I counted right, there have been 26 so far... yikes! From 2010 Significant Earthquake and News Headlines Archive :

Lorena, as Foz posted, nothing more than usual. It's just the ever-increasing modes and pervasiveness of media communications (in knowing everything that's going on everywhere every single second) that creates the perception without perspective.
