Wow, they hit a 3 from midcourt at the buzzer at the end of 1. But, we still lead 28-24.

At halftime, we are up 50-41. Louis Williams with a big 2nd quarter. 13 points at the half.

Nocioni mugs Ben Gordon late in the 3rd. Gordon hurts his back. We are up 69-56. Very balanced scoring for us today.

Gordon comes back to start the 4th.

Our 2nd unit builds a nice lead. 81-66. I bring back our starters to finish this out with 8 minutes left.

Rough 1st quarter. We are down 24-18. We HAVE to beat the Bucks. I hate this 0% team chemistry we have going.

At the half, we are up 42-40. Speights is our leading scorer with 8, but we have nice balanced scoring tonight.

Tied at 59 after 3.

Iggy has had a putrid game, but in the 4th, he takes over! Including a beautiful slam on an alley-oop from Turner on the break.

Playoff Thoughts:

I will play 1 then sim 1 throughout each series. Not real happy with the Bulls as a 7 seed. They are 1 very talented team for such a low seed. In fact, they have a higher roster rating than we do.

On the good front, we are completely healthy except for Turner's Flu. The Bull's Deng is suffering back spasms but will play hurt. Otherwise, they are healthy.

The Bulls are more talented at PG, PF, and C with Rose, Boozer, and Noah. We are better at SG and SF with Turner and Iggy.

Their top 3 bench are better with Ibaka, Gibson, and Reggie Williams. However, if we can get Noah in foul trouble, they are weak at backup big men besides Ibaka.

It will come down Iggy and Turner having big games and us getting their big men into foul trouble.

With an overall rating of 92, the Bulls are more talented than we are. Can we hang? Let's see!

Midway through the 1st Brewer collides with Speights on a dunk attempt by Brewer. Brewer is done and it looks bad. His ankle is messed up. He has to be helped off the court. We are down 12-8.

Word is that Brewer is done for the day and likely the series. We are tied at 14 with 4 minutes left in the quarter. Turner with 8 points already. Huge. Flu isn't slowing him down much.

Holiday picks up his 2nd foul. 30 seconds later Turner gets a 2nd on Rose. We go with our entire second unit with 3:30 left in the quarter. We are tied at 16.

We are down 24-23 at the end of 1. Good couple of minutes from the bench.

After a good 1st quarter, Turner had a very rough 2nd quarter while Rose hit a buzzer beater to end the half for a long 3.

We are down 46-38 at home. Despite the poor shooting, Turner is our leading scorer with 14 points.

We start off the 3rd quarter with a 10-0 run. Great defense. Better offense.

Rose and Deng with a big 3rd quarter for the Bulls. Iggy and Turner with a big quarter for us. We lead 70-69 at the end of 3. Turner has shook off his early poor shooting and is hitting everything now.

They have a 17-4 run while Iggy rests a few minutes. We are down 87-74. Can we come back with 6 minutes to go?

We close with 5 but Reggie Williams hits a big 3. Then, we close with 6 but only a minute left. If our bench did anything today, we win this game easily..

95-88 with 55 seconds left.

Iggy shoots a 3 and misses but Jefferson with a put back dunk! Holiday steals it and takes it all the way. 95-92. 35 seconds left!

Iggy steals a pass from Rose.. passes to Holiday who throws it up for a beautiful alley-oop to Iggy! 95-94. 8 seconds left.

They manage to keep away for 6 seconds. We foul Rose. He misses the 1st but makes the 2nd.

96-94, we are out of timeouts. We have to in bound at our baseline.. we roll it.. Holiday gets it as they press.. he runs.. shoots from midcourt.. off line.

We lose 96-94.

A rough home loss.

Rose is the player of the game with 25 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, and 4 steals. He had 4 turnovers. He shot 7 of 14.

Deng with 20 points and 6 boards. He shot 9 of 24.

Boozer with 17 points and 10 boards. Reggie Williams with 16 points.

Iggy led us with 32 points, 4 boards, 2 assists, and 3 turnovers. He shot 9 of 22.

Turner with 22 points, 6 boards, 5 assists, and 2 steals. 1 turnover. He shot 7 of 16.

Jefferson with 10 points and 12 boards. He shot 5 of 10.

Speights with 9 points, 10 boards, and a block. He shot 4 of 10.

Holiday with 9 points, 3 boards, 10 assists, 5 steals, and a block. He shot 3 of 11.

Brand with 4 points and 4 boards. Redd with 2 points. He shot 1 of 7 in 10 minutes.

Williams with 2 points. He shot 1 of 6.

We were outrebounded 52-42 which was the most telling stat. Also, they shot 50% from the arc while we shot 23%

Redd with 14 points in just 9 minutes. He shot 4 of 6.

Williams with 13 points in 16 minutes. He shot 4o f 10.

Turner with 11 points and 5 boards. He shot 3 of 12.

Speights with 8 points and 4 boards.

Jefferson with 8 points, 14 boards, and 1 block.

Iggy with 7 points, 6 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 3 of 12.

Brand with 6 points and 5 boards. Young with 1 points, 2 boards, and 3 steals in 17 minutes.

Rose led them with 36 points and 4 assists on 13 of 25 shooting.

Turner is over the flu for game 3.

Very defensive oriented game, but with 5 minutes to go in the quarter Turner to Iggy for an alley-oop on the fast break. That seems to happen a lot now We lead 10-9.

With 3 minutes to go in the quarter, Boozer picks up his 2nd foul on a loose ball. We are down 14-12.

At the end of 1, we are up 19-16. Iggy with 10 points.

Iggy with an amazing 1st half. We lead 45-34 at halftime.

Iggy with 26 points, 5 boards, and 1 assist.

We were up by 17 at one point. We end up ahead 68-56 at the end of 3.

Huge win, 97-78! We got the mission accomplished and one at least 1 in Chicago. Can we steal 2 here?

Iggy is the player of the game with 35 points, 8 boards, and 3 assists. He could have had 50 this game I think but he let other guys step up in the 2nd half with the game in hand. He shot 13 of 24, 3 of 5, and 6 of 7.

Turner with 17 points, 9 boards, 4 assists. He shot 6 of 15, 3 of 10 from the arc.

Jefferson with 13 points, 14 boards, 1 assist, and 1 block. He shot 5 of 10.

Speights with 12 points and 10 boards. We controlled the boards today which was a huge difference.

Williams with 5 points and 2 assists in just 5 minutes as our starters played most of the game today.

Holiday with 4 points, 6 boards, 11 assists, 2 steals, and 7 turnovers. He shot 1 of 7.

George with 4 points and 7 boards in 14 minutes. What a nice mid-season pick-up. Of course, I am thinking of replacing him next year.

Brand with no stats in 5 minutes.

Deng led them with 20 points but he shot 9 of 26. Rose with 16 points and 5 assists. Boozer with 14 points and 7 boards.

Holiday gets 2 early fouls on Rose! We lead 4-2.

Even without Rose, they gon on a 14-6 run. Turner picks up his 2nd. We turn to Redd and Brand. Down 20-11.

Wow. Down 29-11 at the end of 1. Their defense is playing so well and we aren't making shots when we do get open looks.

Our shooting woes continue in the 2nd quarter. Down 50-28 at halftime. This looks terrible.

Much better 3rd quarter as Iggy gets it going a bit, but we are still down 80-48.

We lose the game 107-67.

We shot 27% from the field as a team. They shot 46%. They outrebounded us 52-31.

Iggy led the team with 16 points, 2 boards, 5 assists. He shot 5 of 14.

Speights with 12 points and 7 boards.

Redd with 7 points. Holiday with 7 points and 1 assist. He shot 2 of 10.

Turner with 6 points, 7 boards, and 5 assists. He shot 1 of 12.

Jefferson with 6 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks.

Young with 5 points. Brand with 4 points in 25 minutes.

Deng led them with 19 points on 5 of 10 shooting. Boah with 19 points and 13 boards. Boozer with 17 points and 14 boards. Rose with 19 points and 7 assists.

Can we win the simulated game at Chicago to force a game 7?

Wade with 39 points, Bosh with 26, and LeBron with 26 in a 121-92 win over the Magic to take a 3-2 lead. LeBron also had 10 boards and 9 assists.

Kobe with 33 points to lead the Lakers in a 103-73 win over Denver. Lakers win the series in 5.

Now for the simulated game....

The Bulls destroy us on their floor 114-73. Rose goes off for 39 points and 8 assists. Noah with 14 points and 17 boards. Boozer with 14 points and 14 boards. Deng with 12 points. Ibaka with 12 points.

Iggy led us with 11 points, 5 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals. He shot 5 of 14. Turner with 9 points, 4 boards, and 4 assists. He shot 4 of 15.

Young with 12 points to lead the bench.

We lose 4-2. Williams and Brand will be traded if at all possible..

Players Retiring:

Big Z from the Heat.

Raja Bell from the Jazz

White Chocolate from the Pacers

Nazr Mohammed from the Raptors

Antonio McDyess from the Spurs.

Coaches Retiring:

Larry Brown from the Bobcats, Doc Rivers from the Celtics, and George Karl from the Suns.

Off Season Progression:

Turner took another huge step forward from his 2nd to 3rd year. He now rivals Iggy as the top player on the team. And he isn't even close to hitting his roof. He is well on his way to becoming a true super-star.

Jefferson and Holiday took small steps forward. Iggy has plateaued.

Speights took a small step forward. Williams took a small step forward. 2nd year PG Norm Baylor took a nice step forward.

Redd and Brand are in definite decline. So are Nocioni and Kapono to lesser extent. Kapono isn't worth keeping on the roster anymore.

I pick up the iptions on Baylor, Turner, and Holiday. I decide to decline the option on Nocioni. That money can better be used elsewhere.

Results of other options throughout the league:

Chris Paul declined his option and is now a FA.

Deron Williams, Gerald Wallace and Dwight Howard accepted their player options.

Notable Team options: Wall, Griffin, Curry, Tyreke Evans, Harden, Bynum, Jennings, and Collision all had team options exercised.

Brandon Bass declined his option and is a FA. Ditto for Gilbert Arenas.

The Lakers declined Lamar Odom's option. Ditto for Denver and Kenyon Martin.

Player who I can re-sign:

Speights (I will try), Nocioni, George, Kapono, and Meeks. I might try on Meeks.

Speights declines my first offer of 54 million for 5 years.

Meeks accepts a 1 year deal for 487k.

Speights accepts a 5 year deal for 55 million dollars. Our starting C is locked up.

I decide to let George, Nocioni, and Kapono go.

I work out a trade with the Cavs. Pure salary dump on my part. Not to mention get rid of unhappy players:

We trade Louis Williams and Elton brand to the Cavs for Mo Williams and Leon Powe. I don't plan on keeping Mo Williams for long as I expect he'd be unhappy as a bench player.

It is Draft Time!

1. Detroit selects..... Raynardo Gomez. This is a weak draft, but this 6'6 227 pound SF who is 24 is clearly the best player in the draft despite his age.

2. The Kings take Sid Toole, a 20 year PG who is a project and smallish.

3. The Nets take a 6'0 190 piund 21 year old SG. A real reach in my opinion.

The Wizards offer the 4th and 8 pick for Iggy. No way am I trading our most popular player. Iggy will win at least 1 ring in Philly.

4. The Wizards settle for 6'6 237 pound 22 year old SF Jason Stribling. He looks like the 2nd best player in this draft to me.

5. The Pacers get the top big man in the draft in PF Jamal Brooks. But, as I said, this is a down year. I don't like him as much as I liked Jefferson at 6 last year.

The Grizzlies offer the 6th pick for Holiday. I turn them down.

6. The Grizzlies reach for a PG in Johnnie Nixon.

7. The Bucks get a decent SF in Barry Gooden who is 6'8 234 and is only 20.

8. The Wizards take a 2nd SF in Perry Cousins, a 6'8 229 SF who was way lower on my board.

The Trailblazers offer Earl Clark and the 9th pick for Holiday. I again say no.

9. The Trailblazers reach for a PG and take Mitchell Lawson. I had 2 PG's ahead of him. Terrible pick in my opinion.

10. Clippers take Trent Maxwell, a 6'2 combo guard who is 21. Good shooter.

11. The Spurs get a potential replacement for Duncan in PF Max Hall who is 6'9 240.

12. The Jazz take Andrew Faulk, a 6'5 SG who is 22 and has some talent.

13. The Hawks get good value in SF Tim Holland who is 6'6 241 and only 20. Lots of room for improvement.

14. Cavs take a so-so SG in Bruce Augustin. 6'4 197, 21 years old.

15. Wolves take an even worse SG in Duane Felton. 6'3 215 and not that good.

16. Mavs reach for Fredrick Erickson. This draft is not deep at all. Matter of fact, the talent at the top was weak too. Erickson is a 6'8 240 pound SF.

17. Hornets get some of the best value in this draft with PF Marc Nixon who is actually pretty good rebounder and shooter at 6'9 250.

18. The Magic take Jerome Bowden, a 6'7 243 pound SF.

19. The Thunder get a decent backup PG in Sergei Kasparov.

20. The Lakers take the PG I wanted, 6'2 187 pound Neil Torres is a very good shooter. But, he lacks play making ability.

21. The Warriors take a 6'6 220 pound SF named Aaron Wingate. He is 23.

22. The Bobcats took the big man I was targeting, 7'1 240 pound C Rolando Ross. Looks like a beast on the glass.

23. The Celtics take Chase Hill, 6'7 200 pound SG who looks like a project.

24. The Nuggets take another big man I was targeting, PF/C Rod Delk.

25. The Pacers get the last big man I was targeting for my 1st round pick, Dion Griffith. Dion is 6'10 250 and is a good shooter.

26. The Knicks take a project in 6'11 240 pound C Lamar Stafford.

27. The Rockets take a 6'10 200 pound SF I was targeting, Johnathan Baylor. Has a decent shot.

28. I take 6'4 229 pound SG Gerald Walsh. He is a pure shooter who doesn't do much else well. Could take role of Kapono and give us a few minutes when we desperately need a 3.

29. The Heat get their starting C possibly in Eddie Verne. 6'11 260 but very raw.

30. The Thunder take 6'8 200 pound SG Otis Trent. Good defender and I'm wishing I had took him.

My 2nd round pick:

Ron Jamison is a 23 year old center who is 7'1 266 and is a fierce rebounder and defender. Slow and doesn't have any offensive game. But, he will fill George's role for us.

Time for FA:

The big FA's are: Gilbert Arenas, Eric Gordon (restricted), George Hill, Steve Nash, Nate Robinson, and Lamar Odom.

I decide to offer Lamar Odom our MLE but he takes an offer from the Lakers instead.

We end up signing Antawn Jamison to our mid level exception. He'll take Brand's role as backup PF.

The Lakers sign Jason Terry cheap for only 5 million over 2 years.

They also sign Odom for 2 years and 7 million over that time.

Mehmet Okur signs a cheap 2 year deal with the Heat.

Eric Gordon signed a 5 year deal for 90 million with the Suns. They have a great backcourt potentially.

Nash signed 1 year with the Clippers for the MLE of 5.76 million.

Jermaine O'Neal signed a 2 year 11 million dollar deal with the Celtics.

A trade as well:

The Wizards traded their 2nd round pick and Ryan Gomes to the Mavs for J.J. Barea and Shawn Marion.

We also sign Troy Murphy at the end of FA. This means our draft pick might not make the roster. If he does, he just lost his backup C role. But, Murphy should be a valuable shooter on the pick and roll.

Other FA signings:

The Celtics make a huge splash (and set up an explosive environment) by signing Gilbert Areans to a 4 year 72 million dollar deal. How did they afford that?

The Suns sign George Hill to a 4 year 42 million dollar deal. VERY good back court.

The Kings sign Nate Robinson to a 3 year 22 million dollar deal.

The Bucks sign Nicolas Batum to a 4 year 30 million dollar deal.

The Heat sign Jason Kidd to a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. Interesting...

That is all FA signings..

A look at the roster which is undoubtedly more talented but can I keep them all happy:

PG Jrue Holiday is now rated 80 overall. Has improved his shooting more. Will start without a doubt. Averaged a career high 11 ppg and 7.3apg last year. 6'4 180 rated 80 overall.

SG/PG Evan Turner is our best shooter. He averaged a career high 18.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, and 3.2 apg last year. He is also the best overall player. 6'7 205 rated 88 overall.

SF/SG Andre "Iggy" Iguodala is now 28 and in the prime of his career. Averaged a career high 18.6 ppg, 6.4 rpg, and 4.9 apg. 6'6 207 rated 88 overall.

Bernie Jefferson put on a few pounds and is now 6'10 253. He is 24 and is ready to have a big year. Averaged 8.3 ppg and 9.2 rpg last year. Rated 78 overall.

Marreese Speights is unhappy with his minutes and wants bigger minutes this year. Hopefully, he has the stamina to handle them. He averaged a career high 11.5 ppg and had 5.9 rpg in 25 mpg last year. 6'10 245 rated 75 overall.

Thaddeus Young is a SF/PF who is our first man off the bench. The 6'8 220 pound player is happy with his large number of minutes. He is averaging 12.1 ppg and 4.4 rpg. Rated 77 overall.

Mo Williams is even more talented than my last Williams was. Very good shooter. Can I keep him happy? I'm going to try. Averaged 17 ppg and will surely drop from that...rated 77 overall 6'1 190.

Antawn Jamison is ALREADY complaining about lack of PT! But, he is my 3rd most talented bench player. Can I keep him happy? We'll see. He averaged 18.1 ppg last year and 22 the year before. Surely that will drop.. Rated 74 overall 6'9 235.

Michael Redd is a shadow of himself but still a good outside shooter. Will he be happy with just a few minutes a night? He only averaged 7.8 ppg and seemed ok last year with the role, but this will be smaller. Rated 68 overall 6'6 215.

Troy Murphy is already complaining about minutes. Very worrisome. He averaged 6.3 ppg for Atlanta last year and I expect about the same this year. He used to be a 15 ppg type of guy. Rated 66 overall. 6'11 245.

11. Leon Powe is a 28 year old PF who is 6'8 240. Only averaged 1.2 ppg for Cleveland. Hopefully will be satisfied with garbage minutes. Rated 65 overall.

12. Jodie Meeks is 6'4 208. Rated 60 overall. Good shooter in limited action.

Baylor, Walsh, and Jamison are all on the reserve list with our acquisitions.

Definitely more depth and talent. Can I keep them happy?

Pre-season (all simmed)

We beat the Kings 102-91. Turner with 17 points and 8 boards. Speights with 16 and 10. Young with 12 and 5. Jamison with 7 points in 16 minutes. Mo Williams with 7 points and 4 assists in 23 minutes.

The Clippers beat us 110-93. They got 21 points and 10 assists from Nash. 20 poins from Kaman. 16 from Bledsoe. 15 points and 15 boards from Griffin.

Turner led us with 20 points. Young with 16. Mo Williams with 12. Iggy with 12.

We lose to the Bobcats 110-99. Turner with 25 points and 6 boards. Holiday with 17 points and 5 assists. Jamison with 11 points in just 15 minutes. Iggy with 11 points.

We lose to the Warriors 131-106. Ellis and Curry each had 36 and 34.

Young with 17, Turner with 16, Iggy with 15, Mo Williams with 12, Speights with 10, Jamison with 10.

We beat Minnesota 102-99 but Thaddeus Young hurts his quad and will be less than 100% for 1-2 weeks. 27 points from Iggy. Turner with 16 points, 9 boards, and 5 assists.

We lose to the Warriors 118-108. Turner with 19, Jefferson with a pre-season high of 17, Young with 13, Iggy with 13, Holiday with 12 points and 10 assists. Mo Williams with 10 points and 3 assists.

In practice, Gerald Walsh breaks his hand and is out 4-6 weeks. This is last week of pre-season too.

In the last week of the Pre-season Wall and Amar'e get hurt and each will miss 1-2 months.

We win our last pre-season game 118-98 against Sacramento. Led by 32 from Iggy.

Team Chemistry is a bit better than last year. Will that last?

We will start the regular season on October 27th at home vs the Wizards who are a very poorly rated team with Wall out hurt.

We are 7th in the 1st power poll. The top 5:

1. Hawks
2. Heat
3. Thunder
4. Bulls
5. Grizzlies (really?!?) Wow. Looking at their roster, they are good now! Rudy Gay has become a true super star. O.J. Mayo is a star. Conley is decent. Henry and Childress are very good complimentary pieces.

The Wizards ranked 30th in talent. We are ranked 5th overall and 2nd in offensive talent. Time to put on a show for the home crowd on opening night...

We are getting embarassed! Down 23-10 with 4 minutes to go in the quarter. I bring in Mo Williams, Jamison, and Murphy.

Great last 4 minutes with that lineup! We lead 26-25 at the end of 1!

A game of runs, they are now up 33-26 4 minutes into the 2nd. I rested Iggy and Turner during that period.

Down 44-35 as I bring in some bench players with 1:45 to go in the half.

Stribling is MUCH better than I thought after the draft.

At halftime, we are down 47-39. Embarassing. Turner with a rough night shooting. Iggy with a very good half. He leads all scorers with 18 points.

With Young hurt and ineffective, we go to a bigger 2nd team lineup for the 3rd quarter. Mo Williams, Redd, Jamison, Powe, and Murphy. We are up 62-57.

We are up 67-62 at the end of 3. Iggy had a quiet quarter but everyone else stepped up (except for Turner who is having a rough shooting night.)

Our 2nd unit plays very well until they get tired. We have a 79-67 lead as our starters return with 6 minutes left. Our starters are all well rested.

We win the game 97-77.

Iggy is the player of the game with 26 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists. 0 turnovers. He shot 12 of 18, 0 of 4, and 2 of 3.

Turner with 15 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 0 turnovers. He shot 6 of 17, 2 of 3, and 1 of 2.

Jefferson with 14 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 6 of 10.

Speights with 8 points, 12 boards, and a block.

Holiday with 10 points, 5 boards, 7 assists, and 1 steal. He had 5 turnovers.

Mo Williams led the bench with 13 points, 5 assists, and 1 turnover. He shot 4 of 6, 2 of 2, and 3 of 4.

Jamison with 5 points and 4 boards. He shot 2 of 7.

Murphy with 4 points, 6 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 2 of 8.

Redd with 2 points. Powe with 2 boards.

Stribling led them with 21 points on 8 of 17 shooting. Kid loves to shoot. Blake with 15 points. Landry with 10 points on 4 of 17 shooting. Jefferson is really becoming a shut down defender.

Gilbert Arenas (BOS) and Chris Paul (NO) were named players of the week in the 1st week of the season. I'm still in shock how Boston got him. Boston's starting 5 is dangerous: Rondo, Arenas, Pierce, Garnett, and Jermaine O'Neal with Allen being their 6th man. Wow. Arenas averaging 27 ppg in the first week.

Donnie Hodges is unhappy in Portland and demanding a trade.

Oct 29 -

With the team chemistry rising, our rankings rise. We are ranked 5th overall and 1st in offensive skill!

Can we take down Dwight Howard?

They get 2 early fouls on Jefferson. Speights is tired quickly trying to keep up with Howard. We bring in Jamison and Murphy. Tied at 8.

Iggy with a drive to get a 2nd foul on Howard! We are up 20-12 as Iggy has been unstoppable!

We are up 32-17 at the end of 1. Iggy with 19 points in the quarter!

At halftime, we are up 55-35. Iggy with 25 points, 1 board, 1 assist, and 1 steal. Howard with 14 points and 5 boards.

Speights fouls out late in the 3rd, but we are up 78-53 at that point. Still, he needs to stop complaining about his minutes if he can't stay out of foul trouble.

We are up 80-55 at the end of 3. Our bench is going to start the 4th.

Our 2nd unit (with Meeks instead of Young) plays the entire 4th quarter.

We win 100-75.

Iggy is the player of the game with 29 points, 4 assists, 1 board, and 1 steal. He shot 11 of 19, 2 of 7, and 5 of 5.

Holiday with 21 points, 5 boards, 8 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and 4 turnovers. He shot 7 of 11.

Turner with 15 points, 7 boards, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He shot 7 of 11. All 3 of them only played 31 minutes.

Mo Williams with 12 points and 2 assists in just 18 minutes.

Murphy with 6 points and 5 boards in 26 minutes.

Redd with 5 points. He shot 1 of 6.

Speights with 4 points and 8 boards in 22 minutes.

Jamison with 4 points and 10 boards. He shot 2 of 9.

Jefferson with 2 points and 9 boards.

Howard led them wtih 22 points and 10 boards. Rashard Lewis with 19 points and 9 boards.

Before the game the Thunder offer Cole Aldrich and Daequan Cook for Holiday and Walsh. I turn them down.

Ahhh, this is Wall's first game back.

At the end of 1, we are up 25-23. Turner and Iggy both playing very well. Jefferson also had a very productive quarter.

At halftime, we are up 51-43. Iggy has 12 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists. Good half for him. Jefferson with 11 to give us inside balance.

Wall picks up a 4th foul early in the 3rd and will sit. He sat some of the 1st half due to foul trouble too.

We had a big lead, but they close the 3rd with a 13-5 run.

At the end of 3, we are up 69-66.

Our 2nd unit (but with Jefferson at PF) is dominating the 4th. 10-0 run. We lead 79-66 as they call time.

They close it to 83-78 with 5:30 left as I bring in rested starters to finish this.

Turner with a rough night but Iggy and Jefferson handle business down the stretch.

We win the game 94-89.

Iggy is the player of the game with 18 points, 5 boars, 4 assists, and 2 steals. He had 2 turnovers. He shot 8 of 18.

I would have given the award to Jefferson who had a monster game - 19 points, 17 boards, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 7 of 16. Both were season high totals.

Turner with a rough shooting night but he was still productive - 16 points, 6 boards, 4 assists. He shot 4 of 16.

Speights with 11 points, 10 boards, and a block. He shot 4 of 6.

Holiday with 9 points, 3 boards, 7 assists, and 0 turnovers as I've told him he has to play a lot more carefully.

Young led the bench with 11 points and 4 boards.

Mo Williams with 6 points, 2 boards, and 3 assists in 14 minutes.

Jamison with 2 points and 4 boards in 15 minutes. Big man is doing a nice job on the boards.

We play at home vs the 7-8 Boston team that is 3-7 in their last 10.

They beat us 104-102 behind 23 points, 9 boards, and 8 assists from Rondo. Pierce, Garnett, and Arenas each had 16.

Jefferson with 7 points and 10 boards.

Redd led the bench with 10 points. Young with 7 points and 3 boards.

Mo Williams with 6 points, 2 assists, and 5 turnovers in 25 minutes.

Leon Powe is complaining about his minutes and hurting team chemistry. He is going to be traded soon.

Antawn Jamison is pissed about his lack of minutes despite his injury (I thought that bug was fixed!)

Ditto for Troy Murphy.

Nov 29 -

Murphy is now 100% We'll get him some more minutes quickly and see if we can salvage his morale.

Nov 30th -

We host the Thunder who are 10-6 as they battle morale and injury issues.

We beat them 103-82! I gave Powe more minutes and he responded with a season high 8 points and 6 boards in 12 minutes.

Iggy led us with 22 points, 8 assists, 4 boards, 2 steals, and a block. He shot 8 of 14.

Turner with 22 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, and 1 turnover. He shot 8 of 14.

Mo Williams with 3 points and 3 assists in 25 minutes.

Jefferson only played 12 minutes due to foul problems - 2 points, 2 boards, and 2 assists. Wow.

November is done and we are 16-2. If we can avoid Chemistry issues, this team could be a championship type team...

LeBron and Monta Ellis won Players of the Month for November.

Jason Stribling of Washington and Mitchell Lawson of Portland won Rookies of the Month.

Lawson, a PG, was the 9th pick and is a subpar player overall but he is averaging 10.1 ppg and 2.9 apg on 41% (31% from the arc.)

Stribling is averaging 16.5 ppg and 4.9 rpg. He is shooting 43% from the field and 29% from the arc.

Our next game is at Charlotte. They are 9-9 despite a roster rating of 86. Our rating is now up to a 90.

We hold the Bobcats scoreless for the first 7 minutes of the game! We lead 14-3.

At the end of 1, we are up 18-9.

We are up 38-36 at halftime.

At the end of 3, we are down 60-59. Turner and Iggy had a rough quarter but other guys stepped up.

In the 4th quarter, our defense COMPLETELY falls apart. Mozgov, Wallace, and Azubuike start hitting EVERYTHING.

We lose 100-87.

Mozgov is the player of the game with 17 points, 10 boards. Wallace with 17 points and 6 boards. Azubuike with 17 points.

Turner led us with 22 points, 4 assists, 3 boards, 3 steals, and a block. He shot 6 of 11.

Jefferson with 15 points and 9 boards. Iggy with 13 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, and 1 steal. He shot 5 of 11.

Speights with 12 points, 6 boards, and 3 blocks. Williams with 11 points and 3 assists.

Holiday with 9 points, 6 assists, 1 steal, and 3 turnovers.

After the game, the Knicks offer me Gallinari for Jefferson and Young. It is tempting, but I turn it down.

Hmmm, never saw that before. After the game, the doctors mentioned that Speights has a strained hamstring. He can play through it though.

We dropped to #2 in the power rankings as the Heat overtook us. They are 18-4 on the year. We are 18-3 but their roster rating is higher.

Redd with 11 points. Jefferson with 10 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks.

Jamison is now healthy and will get back into the rotation, but he is unhappy we didn't play him the last few weeks.

News Around the League:

The Raptors Traded: Linas Kleiza and Sony Weems to the Bobcats for DeSagana Diop and a 2nd round pick.

Jamison just made a trade demand. I'm going to see if more minutes can get his happiness up.

Our next game is hosting the Warriors. We are now 19-5. They are 13-12.

Wow. 2nd year man Cam Campbell has won Player of the Week. In the West, a different player has won almost every week. Only Monta Ellis has won it twice. Meanwhile in the East, Derrick Rose won for the 3rd time this year.

Dec 17th -

Before the game, Jamison demands again to be traded. Chemistry is dropping so I see no chocie.

Meanwhile the 14-12 Lakers beat us 114-106 as Kobe drops a season high 50 points, 5 boards, and 3 assists.

Iggy led us with 20 points, 4 boards, and 3 assists. Turner with 18 points, 6 boards, and 6 assists.

Jamison with 6 points, 4 boards, and 2 assists in 18 minutes.

Wow. I get a lot of interesting offers including the Spurs will to trade Duncan for Jamison and Redd. That is very interesting although it would have us putting Jefferson in as a super sub...

Duncan is the best offer. The other top offer was the Hornets 1st round pick for Antwan and our 2nd. I'm taking Duncan and hoping we can get him another ring!

Actually, Speights will become a super sub and I'll start Duncan and Jefferson for now until Speights is fully healed. Then, I'll make the move to put Jefferson in as a super sub. Hopefully, I can keep him happy. Still can't believe I made this trade!

Our defense is VERY good with Duncan at C. He is still a good defender and great rebounder. We are up 10-7 as I rest my starters with 4 minutes to go in the quarter. 2nd year PG/SG 6'6" Baylor gets a chance for some PT with Redd gone.

We are down 21-18 at the end of 1. We bring our starters back to start the 2nd quarter.

At halftime, we are down 44-37. Tough shooting by Iggy and Turner this quarter. Hibbert is shutting down our inside scoring.

At the end of 3, we are up 72-58. Turner, Duncan, and Jefferson all scored big this quarter.

With a 88-62 lead I turn to my bench with 6 minutes to go including Ron Jamison who will benefit with the trade of the other Jamison.

We win the game 104-82. Baylor had a very nice game. Glad I moved Redd to give some PT to this kid.

Turner is the player of the game but a lot of guys played well.

Turner with 20 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, and 1 turnover. He shot 6 of 14.

Jefferson with 17 points, 15 boards, 1 assist, 1 block. He shot 7 of 18. He is showing that he deserves to remain in the starting lineup with Duncan at C. They worked very well together.

Duncan with 15 points, 11 boards, and 1 block. He shot 5 of 12.

Iggy with 15 points, 7 boards, 4 assist, 1 steal, and 1 block. He shot 4 of 10.

Young led the bench with 13 points, 3 boards, 3 assist, and 2 steals in just 16 minutes. He shot 6 of 10.

Holiday with 6 points, 8 boards, 9 assist, 2 steals, and 0 turnovers. He shot 2 of 8.

Baylor with 6 points, 2 asssists, and a block in 11 minutes. He shot 2 of 4.

Speights with 4 points, 3 boards, and a block in 6 minutes.

Mo Williams with 4 points in 12 minutes.

Murphy with 2 points and a board in 11 minutes.

Hibbert led them with 16 points, 7 boards, and 4 blocks.

We held Granger to 5 of 24 shooting! He had 11 points and 11 boards.

Even without Iggy, we are still rated 6th in overall talent in the league. Young will get the start. The Clippers are 9-20 but have a roster rating equal to ours in talent.

Near the end of the 1st, Speights fouls Kaman hard and Kaman is hurt. It looks like his arm.

We are up 30-20 at the end of the 1st quarter. Turner with 15 points.

Kaman actually has a strained abdominal muscle and is out for 2-4 weeks.

At halftime, we are down 49-44. Turner with a rough quarter. He has 18 for the half.

Wow. Amazing. Turner with an unbelievable move that almost literally broke Ben Gordon's ankles. As it is, Gordon has an ankle sprain and is done for today.

At the end of 3, we are up 70-69.

We were back and forth all quarter, but Turner was double teamed and Holiday missed two open shots down the stretch. We lose 99-94.

Richie Harper was the player of the game with 23 points, 10 boards, and 1 assist. Griffin with 16 points and 10 boards. We held him to 7 of 20.

Jefferson with 15 points, 9 boards, and a block. He shot 7 of 12.

Duncan with 14 points, 7 boards, and 4 blocks. He shot 6 of 12.

Holiday with 13 points, 8 assists, and 3 turnovers. He shot 5 of 9.

Young with 2 points, 9 boards, and 2 assists in the start. He shot 0 of 5.

Speights led the bench with 12 points and 4 boards in 21 minutes.

Mo Williams with 2 points and 1 assist in 18 minutes.

Walsh played 5 minutes and had 2 boards.

Today, we play at New Orleans. They are 24-10 and are a talented roster. We are 3-7 in our last 10. They are 8-2 in their last 10.

We start off with a 12-2 lead! Turner is on fire early. Duncan with a few baskets too.

At the end of 1, we are up 35-20. Turner with 15 points in the quarter.

At halftime, we are up 57-49. Turner with 18 points, 7 assists, 2 boards, 2 steals, and a block. Superstar in the making.

They go on a 16-0 run in the middle of the 3rd before Jefferson hits a FT. We are down 69-64 with 3 minutes to go in the quarter.

At the end of 3, we are down 78-69. Terrible quarter.

We have closed with 3 several times but never closer. We need 1 more shooter. We are down 90-87 with 1:33 to go...

Murphy with a block and Young with a dunk off a screen.

Mo Williams with a steal and Young with a fastbreak dunk!

Paul misses a lay-up (good defense by Murphy inside) and Turner with the rebound. They intentionally foul Mo Williams. He hits both FT's. 93-90 lead.

Paul with a quick 12 footer. They foul Mo Williams again. He makes both FT's. 95-92. They call time, I get Holiday back in for his defense along with Duncan and Jefferson. All of my starters..

They miss a quick 3 and Duncan gets the rebound and is fouled. He makes both FT's. Gee with a quick 3! 97-95, we lead.

They foul Holiday. He makes both FT's to seal the game.

We win 99-95.

Turner is the player of the game with 26 points (rough 2nd half shooting), 8 assists, 7 boards, 5 steals, and 2 blocks. He had 1 turnover. He shot 80% in the 1st half but ended up 10 of 23, 4 of 11, and 2 of 4.

Duncan with 15 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks.

Williams with 11 points, 3 assists.

Young with 11 points, 2 boards, and 2 blocks.

Speights with 9 points, 2 boards, and 2 blocks in 22 minutes.

Murphy with 8 points, 4 boards, and 1 block.

Jefferson with 8 points, 8 boards, 2 assists, and 1 block.

Holiday with 7 points, 8 assists, 3 boards, 1 steal, and 3 turnovers. He shot 2 of 9. Williams shot 3 of 5.

Baylor with 4 points and 3 boards in 13 minutes. I hate that his PT will get cut if I get a quality shooter, but we need a quality shooter. Powe isn't getting PT now that Duncan is here and he'll be the trade bait to see if we can get a shooter.

I can't find any trades that are worth making at this point.

However, I sign Karl Fuller for the minimum salary. He is a 6'6 197 pound SG from Mississippi who is a smooth shooter but doesn't do much else. He has a bit of a rep as a hot head, but he knows he is coming here to give limited minutes.

Meanwhile, Powe is unhappy, so I'm still going to trade him for a someone who might help out. I'm not thrilled with any of the offers right now, so I'll hold onto him for a bit longer.

Crap. Speights and Mo Williams are both becoming very unhappy with their roles.

Teams around the league have noticed. I get a trade offer the next day: The cavs offer Ramon Sessions and J.J Hickson for Holiday and Speights. I turn them down.

Jan 5th, 2013 -

We host the Magic. They are 9-23. We beat them 112-99 despite 21 and 16 boards from Howard.

Young led us with 31 points and 4 boards. Duncan with 19 points, 6 boards, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.

Williams with 15 points and 1 assist in 24 minutes. Speights with 14 points, 3 boards, and 2 blocks in 26 minutes.

Turner with 12 points, 10 boards, 7 assists, and 2 steals. He shot 4 of 13.

Murphy with 8 points and 4 boards. Holiday with 5 points, 13 assists, and 3 turnovers.

Fuller with 3 points on 1 of 1 shooting (a 3) in 8 minutes.

Jefferson only played 16 minutes due to foul trouble. He ahd 3 points, 8 boards, and 2 blocks.

Powe with 2 points in 5 minutes.

Durant and LeBron won Players of the Week.

DeJuan Blair is about to be traded per the rumor mill.

Aldridge is being moved by the Trailblazers reportedly.

Jan 7th -

We host the 15-19 Pacers. We win 118-97 behind 30 points, 7 boards, 4 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block from Turner who shot 9 of 13.

Duncan with 18 points and 9 boards. Young with 17 points and 5 boards.

Mo Williams with 16 points and 3 assists. Holiday with 12 points and 9 assists.

Jefferson with 9 points, 7 boards, and a block.

Murphy with 8 points and 6 boards in 18 minutes. Speights with 8 points and 8 boards and 2 blocks in 24 minutes. He shot 2 of 11.

Next up we travel to Chicago for the 2nd game of a back to back.

The Bulls are 22-13 with a very strong roster. Can we beat them?

At the end of 1, we are down 26-20. Turner with a rough quarter as Brewer is doing a good job on him.

That quarter, we had our best intensity in a while. We are up 44-43 at the half. Holiday stepping up his scoring. Turner with 11 points, 6 boards, and 3 assists. Rose has 16 points and 5 assists.

At the end of 3, we are down 64-61. Good intense defense.

We were down 8 with 90 seconds left, but a steal and a block get us within 2 with 17 seconds left. We foul and they miss both FT's. Turner hits a buzzer 14 footer to tie us at 90 and send it to OT!

Turner scores 4 points in OT while getting 2 assists. Great OT for him. Our defense plays well and we are up 100-94 with 50 seconds left.

With 13 seconds left, after Holiday misses a pair of FT's, they close the gap to 100-99!

Holiday makes his FT's to make it 102-99 with 10 seconds left..

Rose misses a 3. Jefferson with the board, he quickly gets it to Young who is fouled makes both FT's to seal the game.

104-99 win on the road. Great comeback in the 4th quarter.

Crud! After the game, Holiday is diagnosed with a broken big toe and can't play for 4-6 weeks! Furthermore, Gerald Walsh who didn't even play hurt his knee and is out for 1-2 weeks. What the heck?

Well, Mo Williams will get his extra PT now. And Baylor will get a few minutes per night at the point. Can the 6'6 PG get it done for us? Turner may also play some PG for us. We'll see. Murphy and Speights are going to get more PT too.

The Trailblazers trade Marcus Camby to the Bulls for Aaron Gray (who the Bulls signed days earlier as a FA.)

Word is that Dwight Howard is unhappy and wants out of Orlando. I try offering Speights and Duncan. They counter with asking for Turner, Speights, and Duncan. I try to offer Speights, Duncan, my 1st, and my 1st next year. They refuse.

Next up is the Hawks. They are 21-17 but they have a very talented roster that is rated 93.

Mo Williams with a hard foul on Sebastian Telfair and Telfair is hurt. It looks bad. They will turn to Jordan Farmar. We are down 10-2 early.

Telfair has a severely strained achilles and will miss about a month.

We are down 15-7 halfway 5 minutes into the game.

At the end of 1, we are down 24-15.

Turner with a big 2nd quarter. We are tied at 47 at the half. Turner with 18 points.

Turner with a great job setting up guys in the 3rd. We are up 72-59 at the end of 3.

We win the game 93-82. This was one of Turner's most impressive performances. He did a masterful job of setting up his teammates and picking his spots to score. In particular, he found Duncan for a lot of easy baskets.

Turner with 25 points, 12 assists (a new career high), 9 boards, 1 steal, and 1 block. He had 3 turnovers. He shot 7 of 14, 2 of 5, and 9 of 9.

Duncan with 20 points, 7 boards, and 2 blocks. He shot 9 of 15.

Young with 19 points and 10 boards. He shot 6 of 13.

Jefferson with 9 points, 11 boards, 2 steals, and a block.

Mo Williams with 9 points, 3 boards, 5 assists, and 6 turnovers. He shot 3 of 10.

Speights with 6 points and 5 boards in 16 minutes. I meant to get him more time. Oops.

Fuller with 2 points and 3 boards in 16 minutes.

Muprhy with 2 points and 3 boards in 15 minutes.

Baylor did nothing in 12 minutes.

Joe Jonson led them with 22 points and 4 boards. He shot 8 of 25.

Horford with 12 points and 6 boards. he shot 3 of 10.

KG with his 25,000 career point last night as the Celtics beat the Clippers 100-99. The bigger news is that Arenas is unhappy despite getting 33 minutes per night on average. He is demanding a trade. Wow. He is averaging a career high 22.6 ppg and has played in every game. Guess his "unpredictable" personality is really shining through. I guess maybe he is unhappy with the Celtics record. A look at the standings as we are about halfway through the season:

Eastern conference:

1. Heat 35-7
2. 76ers 29-11
3. Bobcats 27-16
4. Bulls 25-16

6. Celtics 21-20
7. Pistons 20-20
8. Raptors 20-21
9. Pacers 18-23
10. Nets 17-24
11. Bucks 16-23
12. Knicks 16-24
13. Cavs 12-26
14. Magic 12-27
15. Wizards 9-33

Western:

1. Thunder 30-12
2. Hornets 29-13
3. Nuggets 26-14
4. Grizzlies 26-15
5. Spurs 23-17
6. Warriors 22-18
7. Kings 21-18
8. Rockets 21-20 (Yao has been hurt part of the year.)
9. Lakers 22-21
10. Jazz 20-21
11. Wolves 20-22
12. Suns 18-21
