Was watching biathlon on the Olympic channel and saw an Italian named Dorothea Wierer. World champion at some point. Looked like aa potential athlete Hot or Not candidate.

I will repeat my contention that we need to retire these antiquated objectifications.

So People magazine still gets to have an annual "Sexiest Man Alive" issue but FOFC can't voice their subjective opinion on physical attractiveness?

I vote for a rename to "Physically Attractive or Not - What is Your Subjective Opinion?" Sprinkle in the odd dude from time to time if you like, Idris Elba, Chris Hemsworth, etc.

That's pretty much how I feel too. If there are female posters and gay male posters here who want to put up a poll for men, go for it. I'm not going to be offended by it.

The argument that we're objectifying women falls flat when 90% of the photos shown here will be ones the women posed for or are staged paparazzi "candids" so that they could get attention from fans (hello, that's us) and media.

Here's how I look at this.

I agree posting then-and-now pics could be viewed as overboard. I can also agree that posting the more traditional HoN can be viewed as objectifications.

But in the context of trying to bring some levity, wink to this forum's earlier greatness, increased participation & friendly banter (as opposed to toxicity in some other threads), I can see justification for why these threads should exist in this particular forum.

In HoN, you have forum members being friendly, joking, and actively engaging with each other where they otherwise would not have.

Honestly, I do wish I restarted this series in 2020 when we all could have done with some fun while under the pressure of the unknown.

FWIW, there are 3 men I think were/are damn fine looking - Sean Connery, Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise.

Connery and Cruise have their faults (haven't heard negative things about Ford) and am somewhat, superficially jealous of them and the lives they have/had.
