Normally, I'll listen to the NHL station on Sirius/XM when using the car we've got the XM radio in, but it's pretty much replaying old bits now.

Flip over to 80's on 8, and caught an old classic, the Fat Boys version of Wipeout!

I am "reading" a lot more lately because of audio books. I've tried them several times in the past, but they never really took. But now, I am really just enjoying them. Probably had something to do with when I would listen. I tried listening as I drove, but driving kinda distracted me from the books.

In the last few weeks, I've listened to Around The World in 80 Days, Harry Potter 1 and 2, and have started A Clash of Kings. I listen to them when I'm playing games that either don't use sound or I turn the sound off (and don't require a lot of reading), at night when I just don't feel like reading, or I'll even listen to it as I read along when I'm having trouble keeping staying focused.

Thank you technology!

I don't think there is any kind of frozen pizza on this planet that is actually palatable, but, I like pizza bites for some reason.

I'm going to go out tomorrow to get one for my drive down to Gencon to pass the time. I'm not one for listening to the radio so it will give me something to do.

I am typically a very laid back kind of guy, not much gets to me whatsoever. One thing I've learned though, over the years, is how much these idiots who "interact" with wild animals/fish just boils my blood. I can't pinpoint why, I mean, what they do is their business and I couldn't care less. It just fires me up when these idiots are surprised when something goes wrong. For example, I'm watching something about shark attack survivals on shark week. This genius, some "scientist", decides to stand in waist deep water surrounded by bull sharks, about 15 or so. His theory is "they aren't predators, they don't want to harm me". Sure as shit, one of them rips his calf right off. I just don't get it, why do these people think this is a good idea?

Shark attack stories are about the most pointless news story for me. When they start delivering candy grams and attacking on land, give me a call until then.. eh...

I think maybe it's the crust that kills it for me. Always very very tuff and hard to bite into. Plus a lot of them taste like freezer. I know a lot of people love frozen pizza though, but, I do love the pizza rolls/bites.

I just saw a man wearing a shirt that had a variety of mustaches illustrated. It said “MUSTACHE: Enjoy the Ride!”

What I found creepy is that he was cleanly shaven.

Have been killing time playing some FOF with historical players. All new to me, really... kinda cool having some guys I remember like Dan Pastorini and Bill Stanfill and Randy Gradishar as centerpieces to my team.

I happen to have signed and kept a marginal player named Chuck Dicus, but the problem is that every single time I see his name the voice in my head announces him as "Biggus Dickus."

It's sad, but whenever I hear "A Kiss to Build a Dream On", by Louis Armstrong, I think of Fallout 2.

I hate Charter Cable. They screw up my billing and in the process of getting it fixed I received no less than 3 separate sales pitches (Since you enjoy our wonderful billing services you should sign up for 2 years!).

No thanks jerkwads I'm looking into DSL.

Saw a 2-CD set on iTunes titles "The Very Best of Tchaikovsky". I looked through the song list and it does not include March Slav......how the fuck can you call your CDs the "very best" of Tchaikovsky when you don't include March Slav!? Insanity!

Watching a rerun of Small Wonder... and the kids are learning how to smoke cigs (actually puffing) and chew tobacco.

If this happened to a family sitcom now, imagine the hell to be raised.

A sentence I did not expect someone to say to me today at work:

"Can you hold my tots? Not my tits!"

Edit: I guess that's two sentences. Sort of.

You should have said, "Your tots and your tits are not worthy of me holding them". Unless of course, said tits WERE worthy, then you come up with a different witty retort.

Ever since I started watching Burn Notice, I've often thought in terms of "when you're a spy . . . ." Today, for example, I was waiting for an HR woman to fill out some paperwork and found myself looking around her office to learn things about her so that, if I had to, I could use it in a conversation later to get her to help me solve a crime or something like that.

(FWIW, I figured out that she was a neat freak, had two kids, and really liked doing things in a paperless way. I'm not sure how that helps me, but Michael would have somehow been able to use that info to get to download the HR records of the entire organization onto a flash drive.)

Is it really necessary for my brain to picture a tiny guy in an ice cube tray. Then realizing he wouldn't have a phone because most ice cube trays aren't equipped for that so when I picture the guy next to him he doesn't have a phone.

For whatever reason, when you said ice cube trays, I thought of this commercial

This hasn't happened to me with Burn Notice because I couldn't get into the show, but it's started happening to me with watching the Bourne movies and reading the novels.

One of the best things about American culture (in my bias view) is that we have a great respect for time, and other people's time.

Not so in Russia and the former Soviet Republics. I've always heard this about them, and at first, it sounded "laid back" and kind of cool, but in practice, when you have work to do, and appointments, its just maddening. They don't give a shit about time, particulary your time.

End of vent.
