Is it just me?
Or does it seem like every celebrity is dying right now?

There's a few still alive.
Definitely Carrot Top is still kicking around - I saw him posting here just the other day. |

But ya, SteveBollea is right - just imagine how many celebrities you could name, that you have some familiarity with. Including actors, athletes, musicians, whatever....It might be tens of thousands. Probably more.
Whatever that number is, I bet it's at least 100X the number it would be for someone living in the 50s. |

I have felt like the Aztecs or Mayans or whomever thinks the world ends on 12/12/2012 or whatever is right.
There just seems to be too many natural disasters and such the last few weeks/months/years. To top is off, John Wooden might be dying soon. That truly means the end is near.

Well, with Gary Coleman, it's more like 299 1/2.

I mean, of the people who have died in the last, I dunno, month- how many do you figure are really "big" celebrities? We just have such a low bar to celebrity right now

I was discussing this with a co worker the other day. To me, more celebs seem to be dying, but in part, that is because I am older and I know more of the celebs. If some B-list actor from the 1950's dies, I would have no idea who he is, but when Gary Coleman died, everyone knew who he was.
