Remember the guy who ran back two kickoffs for TDs against Tech for South Florida?

He's at Western Carolina now.

Hogs favored by 9.5 over SC. I'll be happy with the win and don't care about the spread.

We should win the next 2 (3-0) before we meet up with A&M and Alabama (3-2). Then fair/good chance to win each of the next 7 games.

It's damn good not to expect or be resigned to a losing season nowadays.

Rumors that our pre-season AA safety Jason Catalon is out for the season. He got injured last year, and got injured in the Cincy game. Not good for the hogs if true. We'll see today at 12pm.

Coastal Carolina revisits the Big South conference it used to play in when they take on Gardner-Webb today at 6 pm, weather permitting. I'm happy to see them take on old rivals, and keep its connection to the Big South. If they lose, I want them to remove all Big South teams from their schedule

Hogs are taking care of business. 3 decent drives for TD and we're up 21-3 in 2Q.

Texas hanging in there which is great.

It looks like Alabama still knows how to knock Texas starting QB's out of the game.

Hogs up 21-9 in the half. We didn't look that great offensively or defensively in the last series.

Have to root for Southern Miss so #15 Miami can make room for #16 Hogs!

I'm not entirely surprised to be honest. They allowed a shocking number of long passes last week in a 70-13 win over Bethune-Cookman that felt misleading to me throughout.

Texas just got screwed on one of the most horrendous calls I've ever seen.

Texas just got a safety called back on a penalty that was basically "playing to well against the number one team" penalty.

HE WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THROWING THE BALL AND THE GUY TOUCHED HIS ARM ON THE PASS! HOLY SHIT THIS CREW SHOULD BE FINED AND SUSPENDED.

I'm not sure where the targeting call came from let alone the roughing the passer.

So how is that not a safety… that didn’t get close to the line of scrimmage even if he wasn’t down

They just illegally reversed the call because of how bad it was.

It Is not grounding because he is the quarterback of the number one team and won an Heisman last year. Haven't you read that rule?

Saban looks tired. I can't imagine the Saban of previous years not absolutely going ballistic with some of these terrible penalties that Bama has been taking.

It was a horrible call, but wasn't the pass deflected so it wouldn't be grounding?

I thought he was down (in the grasp) and was safety for that reason. And that call was definitely a No. 1 vs surprisingly challenging unranked team call.

14 Alabama penalties and not even the 4th quarter yet.

These refs should be suspended for the year. Clear facemask right in front of 2 refs.

FG attempt instead of 1st and goal inside the 5.

Plus the botched FG at the end of the half.

I think they got the "safety" call right in the end. The QB was clearly on the defensive player and got rid of the ball.

Bullshit. Even if weakly tossing the ball against an opposing player in the end zone negates grounding, that is in the grasp anywhere else on the field and probably for any other team in the country.

YouTube break down shows his leg was down before the ball came out of his hand. They didn't review that for the possible safety luke they should have. The dumb penalty call screwed it up.

Yeah, I've seen RBs called down on plays like that in the middle of the field. A QB in the end zone? That's a safety 99 out of 100 times.

100%. This is a massive overreaction and will inevitably look stupid when the ticker tape is coming down but based on today I can see this being his last year.

Hog's LSU transfer McGlothern just intercepted Rattler in the endzone (he also got an INT last week). I'm pretty sure the Hogs got the better end in the transfer portal.

Our secondary don't seem as bad as last week. But I'm thinking Rattler is somewhat overrated.

Hogs comfortably up 36-16 with about 10 min to play.

At most I see the side the ankle on the ground. Is that enough for a player to be down?
