What gets me is that the article MikeVic linked to was posted about a year after the incident actually happened. I thought the whole ordeal was over with, and then this guy just posts a blog about it out of nowhere. I don't even know the guy.

This is truly a joke that never dies. I never intended for it to go on for so long. In fact, after I stopped talking to MRobot that night, I had pretty much forgotten about it until I got an anonymous message to check out a thread on CardPlayer's forums. It just snowballed from there.

Nope, there was more, but it was pretty much the same kind of stuff, I think. It's been over two years now, so I don't remember it that well anymore.

The stairs thing is just a way that members of the SomethingAwful forums used to identify each other. It was kind of a call-and-response thing. The question is "Do you have stairs in your house?" The answer is something that doesn't really make sense out of context. Anyway, with the way that the guy was playing along with me, I thought maybe he knew me from the forums, but I guess he didn't.

Anyway, that aside, I'm surprised that it's taken this long for me to jump the shark with some folks. I have a longer Internet life than some of the other crap that's been around.

+1

Although I don't think it is hidden. I just think he was only giving us samplers of his comedy. That video was hilarious and it is my first official favorite on YouTube.
