KDX Program Running?
Ok, I don't remember installing anything like this, but now when I open the task manager on my computer, I have this program called KDX running. It doesn't seem to do anything, but trying to shut it down from the task manager gives my computer a heart attack. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?

This is the best I could find:
KDX is an encrypted internet communications system that provides file transfer, chat, messenging, news, trackers etc. It uses strong encryption to protect your communications for security and privacy. Its the only thing that even looked like something that might be running on a computer that google could find.

If this: http://www.undergroundmac.com/messaging/kdx.html is what you have, then it sounds like a viruse put it there. Run spybot/adaware and virus scan.

Dola,
Do you have a membership to Gamespot? Have you ever ordered anything securely from them? In browsing the Gamespot forums, it appears that they use a KDX program for some kind of secure delivery, but I'm not sure exactly what. Last edited by Sloan : 02-04-2004 at 09:15 PM. |
