Caution flag flies again on lap 65 for a spin involving Luke Duke and Mike Schaplowsky. As we head to a restart. Blue Neckansack is the new leader. Bo Duke is 2nd, Helen Wheels 10th, Benton Gale 29th and Rob Nielsen is 31st after a bad pitstop. Gale was able to get his lap back with that caution.

Looks like the reason for Nielsen's bad pit stop was that he collided with Hawk Grey coming into the pits and picked up some damage. I'm not sure how much it will effect his car yet. So far he seems to be keeping up the pace.

All race long Gale has been racing the bottom line and it's just not working. He finally moves up to the top line and gains a spot with 3 laps left. Should have made that move 30 laps ago.

Bo Duke had a terrific car today. As he took the lead from Blue Neckansack it looked we were on our way to a championship for the #01. Then, a flat tire struck. Only a few laps after green flag stops, Duke had just regained the lead when his car went down heading into turn 1. He had to pit and would never recover, finishing 31st, a lap down. After that all attention turned to Helen Wheels and Benton Gale. Helen ran near 10th place most of the day and Benton was never able to move up much and ran near 16-17th all day long. Helen's consistency proved to be the key and she finished 10th and is your Season 2 champion.

For the race, Patrick Hutt dominated the latter stages of the race and held off Blue Neckansack for his 2nd win of the season, 5th of his career.

Helen Wheels came into Season 2 having not finished better then 14th during Season 1 and finishing 34th overall. No one would have ever expected her to become the Season 2 champion. But after an offseason of changes, the #00 car is your champ. Benton Gale comes in 2nd followed by Bo Duke, David Ginsberg and Hana Ginsberg.

Billy Bushinhimer, Kellen Killinger and Ricky Anderson Jr. are the three drivers who will be demoted to the Truck Series for next season.

Team Owner Tarcone has announced that Chuck Long will move up to the Sprint Cup and replace Nile Kinnick. Kinnick will race in the Truck series to hone his skills.

Stroker just fell apart after making the playoffs. Hard to complain at two straight playoff berths though.

And Bandit finally showing signs of life there at the end, climbing from the relegation zone to the top twenty in the last 6 races or so.
