It's about a day ahead of schedule on Stannis - truth be told, I was tempted to leave him hanging on this one even before this little fiasco.

Without that logic, he has to believe his armies are able to stand up to Stannis on home turf better than getting mauled by combined armies the next day.

Even if he wins today, he's lost Storm's End - and that's gotta be highly profitable. Granted, he was at a disadvantage on a coastal, but given all the sentiment against him, I'm highly surprised he took a chance that people would flock to defend him instead of Stannis.

If I'm reading correctly, there are five potential choices for the vote/execution today. I'm one, ditto Theon if he was to be pardoned.

Renly has a pair, and there was one other that I'm not recalling from memory ... think it was one of Stannis' folks.

So, any thoughts on how this might play out with negotiations today? I don't see a lot of cause for action until we get the nightly info, but we can still brainstorm a little bit.

Where does Casterly Keep end up if I'm removed from play? To Robb or Joffrey?

TODAY, there are none. It doesn't start till tomorrow.

A quick read suggests "all assets go to King" so I assume those stay with Robb rather than transferring back to Joffrey.

And lands go back to their last active lord. Which means it'd be me at this point. If I execute someone before they bend knee, it goes back to their previous lord.

OK, so we can settle the war first ... see who has how many eligible bannermen remaining. Preserving the Hands, who can't be voted out, seems like it would be a priority at this point.

We've got all day. I remain unsure of the best road to take with this war. There's positives pretty much in every direction.

So path just reached out, and claims Greyjoy will be backing him today - he's tempted to keep this as a naval conflict and take down Stannis's navy. I can't say as I'd be too terribly opposed to that.

Nope, that would be ideal for us. Although I'm guessing his hand will be pretty clearly tipped if they select a coastal territory after giving up a coastal territory.

I'm guessing he will want assurances that we are going to back him in conflict. Potentially other information we've gathered from other houses.

How much sharing on our end?

That's the hard part.

I'm much more interested to hear what he has to say. I dunno how he's gonna react if we outline the situation honestly - there's a lot more negatives to use joining him this time than there are positives.

The Joffrey question is a big one - last time we talked, we were told the Lannisters were going to back this. We're not convinced this is really the case. If it isn't, that puts this battle in a bad position.

Battle is especially nasty for us if there are three Houses lined up against Stannis.

I'm more than willing to take a neutral stance in the conversations with Stannis, see if he will outline scenario first. I just need to know how forthright you want me to be, suggest that there are possibilities that we won't join him, etc. Am I coming to mend fences or to scare him into some kind of direction where we separate?

He has vassalled himself to House Stark once again.

Theon has agreed to serve his new lord to the end of his days, and King Robb Stark has agreed to protect Theon for now and ever.

Additionally, Theon has offered all of his gold, 3750 in count, to the poor to cleanse his dishonor. King Robb has donated enough to reach the 20000 gold minimum (16250 gold).

Theon Greyjoy is no longer an Enemy of the Realm.

Theon Greyjoy (Julio Riddols) is now a bannerman to King Robb Stark (Coffee Warlord) and is available to serve his King in all the normal ways a bannerman may. He may now post in the House Stark thread.

So. I got my maester's report on Stannis.

He has a piddling amount of troops (he's outnumbered about 3-1 in troops, with Renly alone), and between him and Davos, about 140 ships. He is royally and completely fucked if they fight this on land. And he's most likely royally and completely fucked if the Greyjoys join Renly and they fight this on the sea.

I'd say go neutral, and use your discretion - I honestly cannot see any positive to us joining him in this battle. He's lost this one, I think. See what he says, try and keep our relations okay, but at this point, I don't have a lot of faith he's worth it anymore, especially if Balon sides with Renly.

I have wanted Stannis dead for a long time, and it would be a pleasure to be the one who is fortunate enough to spill his guts onto the battlefield.

Also I am unaware as to the exact size of my fathers armada, but I added quite a bit to my arsenal when I fled to the Iron Islands, so I anticipate that his is sizable enough to be a problem.
