So, it seems the Greyjoys fleet outnumber even Stannis's, and Joffrey has roughly 10-15,000 men less than myself or Renly.

And unless the dice hate us, those numbers should be dropping even further.

I believe personally it is either the Greyjoys or ourselves that Tyrion is considering. I figure we give him til the prisoner deadline to choose whether to join us or not, and if he doesn't by then, we offer Florent the chance to live another day and fight for a better king.

I must admit being a little bit wary about the track record of Hands in general, and especially that of House Stark Hands in battle. That said, if serving in that role helps House Stark I will accept.

Agree that allowing Stannis to retain all bannermen while we have lost one is probably not ideal. I suppose it could offer an avenue for peace with Stannis, but I feel like we've probably passed that point.

How big a surprise was it to see Joffrey siding with Stannis? I saw that we had a bannerman visit him (Karstarck, I assume) earlier - did we expect him sitting, aligned with us, or exactly what came to pass?

It was a mild surprise, but Bug told me he left Joffrey even more confused than before he arrived - he was all over the place. His initial guess was he'd sit tight, but there was no definitive info.

I do hope, however, that this has dissuaded JOffrey from bending knee to Stannis - Those two together can no longer put together a serious force.

But, in terms of land forces, we outnumbered them by ourselves even before the battle.

For what it is worth, I've made requests to Littlefinger for less than 4K to give information that does not precisely fit into the maester profile. Such as "how many troops did Stannis lose in the battle" or something like that.

If you already have a profile on him, perhaps something more targeted could save a little bit of cash.

Theon, I agree that Littlefinger is a big wildcard at this point.
I suspect Varys is less of one, from what I've seen of his posts about finding his own path in the world instead of the one suggested for him by FOFC-GRRM.

Going to be an interesting day of diplomacy to see where the voting heads - Stannis is making his intentions known.

Also, this is going to be a less than ideal day for me in terms of participation. Downtown at the office, have a meeting after work, etc. I'll do what I can in terms of parlay with TheJackal but this may end up being a non-starter if we aren't ever around at the same time.

Well, I think we have a pretty good chance of being the voting target today. We've got three votable bannermen, no one else has more than one.

I would be interested to see if the neutrals will actually take a position at this point - particularly Varys or Littlefinger.

Joffrey has no bannermen to protect, so he should be in full "size up ruler" mode at this point in time. Offering him a suggestion that he not antagonize us on votes might be appropriate.

I think we only have two votable bannermen. Note it says Ser Barristan is a non-bannerman - he's the Commander of the Kingsguard. I believe that means he's unvotable.
