3.97 yesterday. Today, 3.95. At this rate, it should be down to 3.00 in a little over a month or so.

I saw similar 30+ cent jumps yesterday. I'm guessing it was cause crude had a slight rally on Tuesday. It is beyond annoying at this point.

$3.52 down here, it's been dropping a few cents a day for about a week, and on a downward trend for at least a couple weeks now...

I drove past a place in Southlake today that had gas for about $3.50/gallon. Unfortunately, I was too dumb to stop there, and I drove all the way to the airport and had to fill up my rental car at $4.01/gallon. At least it was only about 5 gallons, but that was still painful.

This week was my first time in the Dallas area, but even after driving through Southlake for the last two days, I see where you're coming from. Everything looks pricey as hell around that place.

Um, gas has been pretty a steady $3.73 at the station next to my work.

At some point in the last few days it's jumped to $3.85.

We've had that probably three times in the past month to two months. $3.68 or so... slowly drops to $3.44. You think hey... I'll give it just a couple more days... BOOM $3.71.

Where do you live Scoobz? I see the crazy fluctuation in Canton/Alliance all the time and it is insane. Especially since I buy gas every day for work.

Southwest of Lima. 15-20 minutes from Indiana border.

Was $3.69 last week. This morning. $3.55. This afternoon $3.51. I'm sure it will be $3.71 by Friday.

Still $3.50 or so around here thanks to gas taxes, and yet they are STILL putting a toll road in (but only on the section that doesn't go through north Raleigh where the big-wigs live and their developers are working and selling...)

It's been hovering in the 3.80s for months here. Oh there will be the dip down into the 3.60s, but, that only lasts about a week or so.

3.99 / 4.10 / 4.20 range in the Bay Area. And nah, its not too much - a gallon of gas costs what a damn Starbucks cup of coffee does. Welcome to Econ 101.

Not really, Starbucks coffee is only 1.50-2.00, sure if you want some fru fru coffee it's the same price.

Meh, they'll get around to tolling it at some point. The state does such a wonderful job with the absurd amount they charge in gas taxes nowadays that it's inevitable. Case in point being that they're having to build toll roads to actually get anything of the sort done sooner rather than much much later in spite of the gas tax. I was down in the Myrtle Beach area last weekend and it's just cringe-inducing to see the difference in pricing.

Ranging from $3.36 to $3.76 in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

15 stations (mostly Costco and Sam's Club) under $3.40

Average price is $3.54 and the highest by station is Shell, which is $3.69 and higher at a bunch of stations.

Why is gas jumping up in price so much recently? There's no major holiday coming up and I haven't heard of any 'supply issues'.

There's always a jump-up around this time of year but this one is happening a little earlier than usual.

It could be another sign that the economy is improving.
