Colts looking good on Thursday night, even if it is against the Jets.

I understand Carson Wentz's career less than I understand pretty much anything in football.

It sounds like OBJ will be released and hit free agency. What are the odds that he ends up on the Bucs and turns back into 2016 OBJ?

I was thinking OBJ to the Rams while DeSean Jackson goes to the Bucs.

Dola,

I have no idea of the cap ramifications for either team.

I'd say the Rams are a good choice for where he might land, but I have a tough time seeing him rejuvenate his career while living in Los Angeles. Then again, I wonder if he will ring chase or lifestyle chase.

Dola - I just read that the Saints and Raiders were the teams showing interest in him at the deadline.

It sounds like he is guaranteed $8M for he rest of the season (as the pro-rated amount he has remaining on his contract for this year) if someone claims him.

I'd imagine he'll clear waivers, but it looks like there are about 12 teams that could probably afford him, per this site:2021 NFL Team Salary Cap Space Tracker | Spotrac

Is there really going to be anywhere that OBJ is worth the hassle of dealing with him?

I have my doubts anybody should be that desperate.

edit: not saying they won't be, just saying they shouldn't be.

I think the hope is that you can get half a season and a playoffs of "prove the haters wrong" effort out of him and then let him sign somewhere else this offseason.

There are exceptions (Fitz, Megatron, Julio), but most big money WRs are crazy divas who rarely live up to their big $$ extensions.

Beckham must have the biggest diva WR disparity between fame/celebrity profile and actual production.

They should do a 30 for 30 on that one primetime catch he made against the Cowboys. There's an argument that his entire career/perception plays out differently without that one play.

Is there some wrinkle to NFL rules/timing that explains/excuses the Browns for handling this issue literally hours after the trade deadline?

"I consulted my good friend Joe Rogan"

........LMAO, holy fucking shit, I can't believe he actually said that. It took all of Pat McAfee's self control to not burst out laughing at Aaron Rogers. That was an A+ train wreck of an interview.

Aaron Rodgers explains that after his own research and consulting Dr. Joe Rogan, he decide not to get vaccinated and MLK told him to not wear a mask. Or something close to that.

When I made the above post about him returning to his prime level, I have to admit I didn’t realize he hadn’t had a good season in like 5 years until I looked it up.

He also explained that he was a "critical thinker", and that he realizes he's "in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now."

And yes, he's on the ivermectin.

He pretty much hit all of the things.

Also, I think we now can understand why the Packers didn't want him involved in personnel decisions. They knew he was like this all along. He submitted a 500-page report to the NFL about his vaccine alternative COVID theories, and he said they "thought he was a quack". Correctly. 500 pages. Of his research.

A lot of decisions make more sense now.

“Hey, let’s draft Jordan Love.”

“Why?”

“Because Aaron’s crazy and an asshole.”

“Yeah, that makes sense.”

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I enjoyed every moment of that interview. I especially enjoyed Aaron Rodgers incorrectly quoting a line from Dr. King's "Letter From A Birmingham Jail" while sitting at home relaxing. Perfect.

There's been talk from former players and people around the Packers for years about what an asshole Rodgers is. He's just putting it on display for everyone now.

People blamed Olivia Munn for his estrangement from his family. Not so much now.

Rodgers' McAfee interview was so bad I hope it results in State Farm taking a long pause from using him in commercials. Holy crap. What a load of self-righteous, misinformed garbage. He sounded like a cross between Rand Paul and the dozens of people interviewed at Trump rallies. I can't believe no one stopped him from doing that interview - unless his goal is to sell insurance only to people who buy MyPillows.

A friend of mine is still a Rodgers defender. The guy's brother hates him, his family doesn't really talk to him, he has multiple former teammates that have described him as selfish and an asshole, people connected to the Packers front office have said he's strongly disliked in the organization, you have his handling of the last coaching change, his handling of the team drafting Jordan Love, how he acted this offseason, and now this interview.

Take any 1 or 2 of those things and you can explain them away. Taking in everything and looking at the big picture, he's a colossal douchebag.

I would eat my hat if Rodgers knows all the ingredients of every drug, shot, or supplement he has been given in his football carrer. I guarantee he has had pain killers injected that have way more adverse affects than any of the vaccine options. He is just full of shit.

There's a video of him and his girlfriend screaming for help (for themselves) on the side of the road with the lady and dog burning to death in the car just ahead of them.

I have been following that punter for several weeks. The video from yesterday's game begs the question though - why are you punting the ball 80 yards through the end zone instead of trying to use at least a bit of finesse/skill to pin them inside the 20?

If a rookie threw the INT that Tyrod Taylor threw just now, he'd be criticised for being naive. For a veteran QB that is unforgivable (but gratefully received as a Dolphins fan)

Watching the Texans at Dolphins... these are two really poor teams (I know, statement of the bleeding obvious!)

Apparently using the "Bengals for real" phrase is the equivalent of Cindarella's clock striking midnight, it's the cue for both to turn into pumpkins.

Bills losing to the Jags the week after the Bengals lose to the Jets is a "hold my beer" moment if I've ever seen one.

Gonna have to do something about these {cough} dominating defenses I guess

Winning QBs today in the NFL had the following stat lines

15/20 for 110 yards (team total: 245 yards offense)
15/26 for 118 yards (team total: 218 yards offense)
12/18 for 139 yards (team total: 273 yards offense)

The sad thing is the Falcons, as bad as their defense is, is just a running game away from being a playoff team.

I'm disappointed nobody has made the obvious and overplayed joke about Bye being heavily favored over the Lions this week. I'll take one for the team.
