FM08 Railway young men path to glory

Crewe Alexandra Football Club are an English football team based at Gresty Road in Crewe, Cheshire, England and nicknamed The Railwaymen due to that town's links with the rail industry.

The club was formed in 1877 and reputedly named after Princess Alexandra (some suggest that the decision to form the club was actually taken in a pub named after the Princess and the club was named after the pub). They currently play in the Coca-Cola League One.

Currently Crewe has one of the best young football academies in UK, known for the high stress on technical excellence, that train the young players to play attractive, passing football.

Early years
Crewe Alexandra were formed in 1877 as Crewe Football Club as a separate organisation from the successful Crewe Cricket Club. Crewe Football Club played their first ever match, against North Staffs, the same year, the match ended 1-1. In 1884, Crewe Alexandra's first match in the FA Cup was against Queens Park of Glasgow, losing 10-0.

Crewe were one of the founding members of Division 2 in 1892, having previously been members of the Football Alliance, but became a non-league side after only five seasons. The following year the club managed to sign all their players as professionals. They rejoined the Football League in the 1920s, during which time a new record of 15,102 packed into Gresty Road to watch Crewe entertain local rivals Stoke City. The Potters won the game 2-0. Crewe earned their first honours by winning the Welsh Cup in 1936 and 1937, before being barred from entering (not least since they were not in Wales). In 1936, Herbert Swindells scored his 100th League goal for Crewe Alexandra. He would go on to score a record 126 goals for the club - a record that still stands today.

1955 saw Crewe embark on a sequence where they did not win away from home for 56 matches. The dismal run ended with a 1-0 win at Southport. One of Crewe's most famous matches took place against Spurs in the FA Cup. A new record attendance of 20,000 saw lowly Crewe hold Spurs to a 2-2 draw. Bert Llewellyn and Merfyn Jones scored for the Railwaymen. In the replay, Tottenham won convincingly 13-2 - still a record defeat for the club. Llewellyn and Nev Coleman scored for Crewe at White Hart Lane.
1961 saw Crewe's most notable win in their history, Jimmy McGuigan's side defeated Chelsea 2-1 in the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge. That particular Chelsea side contained former Crewe player Frank Blunstone, Jimmy Greaves, Peter Bonetti and Terry Venables. The Crewe goals were scored by Billy Stark and Barrie Wheatley. Spurs won by a more modest 5-1 in the Fourth Round. In 1963, Crewe gained promotion for the first time in their history with a 1-0 win over Exeter City. Frank Lord became the local hero, scoring the only goal in front a crowd of 9,807. Lord also holds the record for most hat-tricks for the club - he amassed eight hat-tricks during his time at Gresty Road.

A year later, Terry Harkin scored a record 35 league goals for a season. 1977 saw Tommy Lowry play his record-breaking 475th and last game for the Railwaymen. 1979 would see manager Warwick Rimmer's most notable signing when Bruce Grobbelaar joined Crewe and played his first match against Wigan Athletic. During the season he would score from the penalty spot against York City and kept 8 clean-sheets in his 24 matches played. In the same year the club went a record 15 matches without winning at Gresty Road. The period from the 1950s to the early 1980s were generally not a successful time for the Alex, and few would have argued with Michael Palin's comment, in the 1979 BBC Great Railway Journeys of the World documentary when, in a shot over Gresty Road filmed from the roof of the adjacent Rail House he described Crewe as "like those other railway towns, Swindon and Doncaster, possessed of a football team which is perpetually propping up the bottom of the Fourth Division".

It is believed that Crewe's fans were the first to ever sing the famous football song 'Blue Moon'. The song was sung to represent the gloomy days at Gresty Road during the mid-1900s. Since then Manchester City have copied the chant and it is often sung by their fans.

The Gradi era

In June 1983, Crewe appointed Milan-born Dario Gradi as manager. At that time, Crewe had again just avoided being voted out of the Football League. Gradi quickly gained a reputation for developing young talent, Gradi let Steve Walters become the youngest ever player to pull on a Crewe shirt: aged just 16 years and 119 days he played against Peterborough United on 6 May. Gradi's efforts paid off in 1989 when Crewe won promotion to the Third Division. They went back down two years later, but were promoted again in 1994. In the same year, Neil Lennon became the first Crewe Alexandra player to gain an International cap for 60 years when he was selected to play for Northern Ireland against Mexico. Gradi then led his charges to the unprecedented height of Division One in 1997, after victory over Brentford in the Division Two playoff final, and kept his team there until 2002, despite a club income on which many more lowly clubs could not survive.

After one season in the Division Two the club were promoted back to Division One at the end of the 2002-03 season, having finished in second place; the first time the club had finished in the top two of any division.
Although managing to retain their place in the renamed Championship in the 2003-04 season, at the start of the 2004-05 season they were rated one of the likeliest teams to be relegated. In the event, they put in a good showing in the first half of the season, but after selling Dean Ashton to Norwich City for a record £3 million in the January 2005 transfer window, Crewe failed to win any more games until the final match of the season, when they defeated Coventry City 2-1 and narrowly escaped relegation on goal difference, Crewe having a GD of -20 and Gillingham -21.

The following year they were not so fortunate. Despite a good run towards the end of the season, they were relegated to League 1 at the end of the 2005-06 season.

Crewe were named the 'Most Admired Club' in the 2006 Football League Awards, sponsored by The League Paper and FourFourTwo Magazine.
Prior to their 3-0 home defeat to Bradford, the club learnt that their previous chairman, Norman Rowlinson, had died of cancer at the age of 83. The club then held a minute's silence for Rowlinson at their next home game, against Huddersfield Town.

Gradi legacy

As of the summer of 2007, Gradi was the longest serving manager in English league football; he celebrated his 1,000th game in charge of Crewe on 20 November 2001 - an away fixture at Carrow Road, the home of Norwich City F.C., and completed 24 years in sole charge of the club, although assistant manager Neil Baker took temporary charge between 22 September and 17 October 2003 while Gradi underwent heart surgery. Crewe only managed one point while Baker was in charge.

During Gradi's control, the club gained a strong reputation for its youth policy, and gained official status as an FA Youth Academy. By concentrating on developing its own players the club remained profitable (a rare thing in lower division football at the time) by selling them on after they have gained experience with Crewe. The Academy is known to stress technical excellence, which accords with Gradi's aim to have his sides play attractive, passing football.

Players who passed through the ranks at Crewe include the England international players Geoff Thomas, David Platt and Rob Jones, Welshman Robbie Savage, and Northern Ireland internationals Neil Lennon and Steve Jones (Platt was the most successful, totalling more than £20 million in transfers and captaining the England team). All these were youngsters signed from other clubs, but Gradi also had considerable success in nurturing Crewe's own trainees - notably full England internationals Danny Murphy and Seth Johnson, under-21 England international Dean Ashton and Wales international David Vaughan.

On 20 April 2007 Crewe Alexandra announced that, as of 1 July 2007, Gradi would take up a new role as the club's Technical Director whilst gradually allowing newly appointed first-team coach Ivan Carrillo control of the team.

Crewe signs unknown Spanish manager

In what may be seen as a surprise appointment, the Crewe board have named a virtually unknown Spanish manager as their new boss.

Ivan Carrillo, who turns thirty-two next birthday, was introduced to fans and journalists alike at a brief press conference at The Alexandra Stadium this morning.

Carrillo was signed to a 2 years contract of 135,000€ per year.

Here are the new coach first words:

It's a great challenge for me to coach this young team. My objectives in Crewe are no others than to bring back the team to it's old glory days. I know Crewe is a team known for it's young players development and young academy, so I work closely with the youth academy managers to home grown a good base of young players to become the core of this team. But insted of just selling them away as the team have been doing in the last years, i'll try to keep them in Crewe to make a competitive team. Will also try to bring some veterans to lead the young team and to help with their experience. I'll try to setup a fast paced, attractive attacking style that will bring not only good results but also lots of fans to the stadium to enjoy the great team playing.

Manager Profile:

Name: Ivan Carrillo
Date of birth: 16-08-1975
Nationality: Spanish
Coaching preferences: Likes attractive passing game... prefers attacking over defending... values high skilled players who are also fast... prefers young players but with a few veterans in in the mix... disciplined coach... gives top priority to develop young players from the academy.

The first thing i always do when i come to a new team, is to take a look at the team info, finances and staff to make the needed changes to match my GM style.

I need to find an scout so i start to look for some:

I offered a 2 years contract to 36 years old unemployed scout Jason Lynch:

I also offer a 2 years contract to 27 years old unemployed coach Dan Micciche, hoping for my board to not to block the offer as they want to have only 2 coaches we have 5 already.

Now to the team:

Board expectations:

The minimum expectation is that the team achieve a safe mid-table position within the Coca-Cola League 1 this season.

If you think the team can achieve greater things in the league then the board is willing to back you by increasing both the wage and transfer budgets to accommodate your aspirations.

The board would be prepared to give you a transfer budget of €375K and a wage budget of €1.8M p/a for your current level of ambition.

The club is currently spending €1,526,548 per annum on wages.

I decide to accept it as i don't want to aim for a higher objective in my first season.

Team report:

Neil Baker believes Crewe Alexandra have a squad which should be able to establish a safe mid-table position in the Coca-Cola League 1 but warns there are still areas of the team which could be improved. He is concerned that there is no adequate cover available for the goalkeeper.

Baker is concerned that if our first-choice left midfielder Ryan Lynch receives a long-term injury, then it is doubtful that our current backup Byron Moore will be able to cope with the responsibility of replacing him.

In addition to his team report, Baker has instructed the backroom staff to compile comprehensive reports on each member of the squad.

Baker believes Lee Barnard to be one of the best players in the team at the moment and has picked out his coach report for you to have a look at.

I agree with some of his comments, not with others but more about it in the next post as i'll review my team by positions.

To analyze my team, i always do it by position, in this case, setting the filters to have in the same screen all the team keepers, under 18, reserve squad and 1st team. Then i decide who to move to each team.

Positional roster analysis,
Goal Keepers:

General info:

Pkd Inf Name Position Nat Height Weight Age Value
GK
Ben Williams GK ENG 183 cm 84 kg 24 €26K
S1
Stuart Tomlinson GK ENG 183 cm 70 kg 22 €20K
- Yth Jack Baker GK ENG 181 cm 75 kg 17 -
- Yth Owain fon Williams GK WAL 193 cm 78 kg 20 €180K
- Yth Marcus Cooper GK ENG 180 cm 80 kg 16 -

Contract info:

Pkd Inf Name No. Squad Status Cnt Yearly wage Expires Value
GK
Ben Williams 1 Rotation F/T €72,000 30.6.2008 €26K
S1
Stuart Tomlinson 13 Rotation F/T €22,500 30.6.2008 €20K
- Yth Jack Baker - Youngster Yth €4,100 30.6.2009 -
-
Owain fon Williams 21 Hot Prospect F/T €22,500 30.6.2008 €180K
- Yth Marcus Cooper - Youngster Yth €4,100 30.6.2010 -

Goalkeeping attributes:

Pkd Inf Name Aer Cmd Com Ecc Han Kic One Ref Rus Pun Thr
GK
Ben Williams 9 10 11 7 13 13 9 15 9 3 9
S1
Stuart Tomlinson 8 13 11 4 12 10 12 12 9 4 6
- Yth Jack Baker 15 9 12 12 6 7 10 15 13 10 11
-
Owain fon Williams 9 7 15 15 11 9 13 14 12 14 10
- Yth Marcus Cooper 6 8 3 5 11 9 10 10 4 11 4

My Ass. Manager suggest that Ben Williams should be the starting GK and Sturat Tomlison should be the backup. Both are pretty close ratings wise, so by now i won't make changes.

Owain fon Williams and Jack Backer are great young prospect. Owain could even be the starter if it weren't for his lack of experience, i'm going to give him playing time in friendlies and if he is good enough, i might even make him the starter as he is a great young prospect that i want to develop.

Jack Baker is under 18 years old so he will play in the under 18 squad to keep developing.

Markus Cooper is only 16 and so raw, so he will be the backup in the U18 squad.

My Ass. Manager sees Danny Woodards and Billy Jones as the best starters. I like them, both have what i need in wingers, acc, speed, and crossing as i like them to be part of the attack, crossing balls to the area, but also with enough tacking and marking to help on defense.

Jones is a great offensive player with nice finishing for a wingback so he could even play as Offensive Winger if needed, as i don't have a lot of offensive players who can play at the left side.

I like also lot Georget Abbey and Ryan Lynch, both are more defensive wingbacks than Billy Jones. I see myself playing Woodards and Jones at home, and Woodards and Abbey/Lynch away where i'll need more defense. Woodards can play both sides to that is a plus as i like versatile players.

I'm well served in the wingbacks department for a Coca-Cola league 1 team.

Looking at that you seem to either be 1)Way over talented for your conference or 2)Need a much better Assman. That and you need a better AML and goalie

Crewe is a very talented team, but the youngest average one in Coca-cola 2 as all them are kids from their excelenet academy that are scouted and signed fast by big teams, so that will be my biggest proble, to keep the young talent in the team if they perform well. I need also to bring some veterans as such young players always have rolecoaster type seasons because the lack of experience.

My Ass. Manager suggests Chris McCready and Daniel O'Donell to be the starters. Both are good enough for our competition level, McReady more as tackler and O'Donell heading away the danger.

Baudet and Cox are good backups, Cox is the team captain and at his 35 years he adds a lot of experience to this young team. His positioning rating is the best of the group, so he migh start some games, his only negative rating is his lack of speed.

Young players Bancroft, Lappin and McHugh are almost ready for first team action, and they are only 17 years old, so they have a brilliant future. All them will play in the under18 team, but will be called up if i need backups in case of injuries.

Ran Lowe is indiscutible at the right side of my attack, but i have doubts at the left side. Byron Moore looks the best choice for the left side. Both can drible and cross the ball and are fast enough to play as off wingers.

Eugene Boop can play at the right side, but i prefer him in the middle.

Junior Brown can drible and is fast, but can't cross so if i use him, he will have an arrow towards the goal to be used more as forward comming from the wing that as pure winger.

I need backups for both sides as the ones i have are not good enough.

I want to play with a 4-3-3. At home i'll play with 2 MC's and one ATM away will play with a DMC an MC and an ATM.

I like the DMC to be a a good defensive player, but able to pass the ball to the MC and ATM. Neil Cox is mainly a defender, he will play DMC when i need a really defensive lineup. Else Ben Rix will take that spot, as he is a better overall player. Steven Schumacher can also play in this position well enough

The MC spot is for sure for Gary Roberts as he has creativity and can pass well the ball. He will be the team playmaker.

The ATM spot will be for Eurgene Bopp and/or Michael O'Connor as both can pass the play but can also score and will play both as playmaker and/or extra forward as i play only with one central striker, that will need help from the ATM.

The starting spot is for the player on loan from Tottenham Lee Barnard. He is a good overall forward, fast, can dribble, can head and can finish well.

Nicky Maynard, Byron Moore and junior Brown will play more a the sides, but if needed they can also play central forward as are not really good crossing and are better finishing.

Tom Pope is a good old style striker, good heading and jumping, but not so good dribling so he well play only when we need to win games by strengh insted of by technique.

Nick Farqurharson is only 18 years old but can head, dribble and finish, so he could play in some games as backup in the last minutes.

Ok, enough with the lineups and copy/paste charts. Now it's time to go shopping!

On defense we are well served, specially at the wingbacks. If i buy a defender will be only if he is a can't miss opportunity, but i'll try to avoid it.

On the midfield we need two backups, specially one that can play well DMC. We have Cox but he is too defensive and i want one that can defend but also pass. This is a top priority.

As i said before, i want to play a 4-3-3, the two attackers at the side will either cross the ball to the forward if they are good crossing, or enter in the area dribbling to finish themselves or to assist the central forward. I need them to be really fast and good at dribbling. As my Ass Manager said, i need to find at least one backup who can play at both sides or at least at the left one. I'll go shopping for one.

Apart from that needs, DMC and AM L/R, if i can find a top striker or a top defender, either a young prospect or a veteran who can offer his experience to this young team, i'll purchase him too.

The board is giving me a transfer budget of 326,000 € that should be good enough for 2 or 3 players.

After a long search, i sortlisted a few players and sent my scout to watch some of them. Also made some bids to free some veteran agents that are out of team right now.

- AMC Walter Centeno, a 32 years old player from Costa Rica wh ohas played for the national team 96 times. He is a monster of a player that is out of contract right now, but that i doubt will want to come to Coca-Cola league 1 in England. just in case, i offered him 180k€ per year when he asked for 150k. I know a lot of teams will try to get him so i hope he will consider the high salary i'm offering. Being 32 years old he has 2 years max but would be an incredible signing for us.

- AMR Dries Boussatta, a 34 years old player from Holand. Another veteran player that would come in a free transfer, he is a great player with incredible dribbling and crossing from the right side.

- MC Laraudo, a 32 years old player form Spain. He would come on a free transfer too. He is a really phisical player that woul dbe the perefect fit for the away games in the DMC position, to tackle and head away all the balls not letting anybody pass him.

- DC Blas, a 29 years old defender from Spain. Another phisical beast for the center of our defense. Our team is mainly technical so a few physical guys will be needed to fight in the trenches.

- FW Quique, a 35 years old vet from Spain. He is an old player but with an incredible flair, dribling, finishing and off the ball, and still enough pace to score on counter attacks.

- DMC Pablo Paz, a 34 years old vet from Argentina. Has 14 caps with the national team. He can play from the DC to DMC to MC, even as wingback at the right side. Very strong player who is more defensive than offensive, but that still can manage the ball with care. He is currently out of contract so he would come for free.

My scouts came back from watching some players and i found these interesting ones:

DMC Marcus Bean, 22 years old from England. he plays currently in Blackpool and has an asking price of 130,000€. He is exaclt ythe kind of player i want as DMC, agressive, good defending, hard worker, physical but that can also play the ball. I'm goin gto look into other options, but so far i like him a lot, plus he is only 22.

FWD Richard Offiong, 23 years old from England. An incredible fast player who is good finishing too and has great composure to beat GK's in man to man. He is the perfect counter attack striker, give him the ball deep and nobody will reach him until beating the goalkeeper. the main problem is that he is a selfish player, almost not teamwork and i prefer team players. Still will keep considering him. He plays in Hamilton, asking price 90,000€

FWD Glen Ferguson, 37 years old from North Ireland. He is so old, close to retirement, but he is the king of the opposite area. Incredible heading and jumping skills, so strong physical player. The typical old style target man, perfect to score headers crossed from the wings. if i were playing with two forwards, he would be perfect as target man, to playing along with a faster/technical forward, but as i play only with one forward... his lack of speed could be a problem as i can't count on him for counter-attacks. Still love him and maybe i can use him when i need strength in the opposite area. He plays in Linfield and would be cheap to sign, 14,000€

DC Blas rejects my contract offer as he wants an higher salary and to be a first team player. I tell him to forget about it so we break the negotiations.

DMC Pablo Paz accepts my offer and is ready to sign with Crewe wile rejecting other two teams offers. He said that he is so happy to sign with a well supported team as Crewe! my Ass Manager is thrilled about the signing, he said that Paz could play right now in any premiership team (when we are 3 leves under Premiership). He is also a very professional player who loves to play big matches, exactly the kind of veteran player i wanted to lead my young kids. Huge signing for us.

AMC Dries Boussata also acccepts our offer! he is going to be a great backup for the right winger. He is awesome dribling and crossing the ball to the area. After this signing i'm thiking more and more on signing Ferguson as he is the perfect fit to header those crosses. My Ass Manager likes the signing, but is a bit concerned about he being injury prone.

First good news, FW Quique signs with us too. He is not an awesome FW but is a good backup, fast that can drible and finish and specially so good making off the ball moves to get free from his defender.

Then the bad news, our most desired signing, AMC Walter Centeno decides to re-sign with his old team to end his career there. It's not suprissing as he was offered a huge wage of 575,000€ per year when we offered 180,000.

DMC Laraudo rejects us too, but this doesn't hurt a lot as we already have Pablo Paz's signing at DMC.

We need to keep looking for an AML and we bid for the 27 years old AML from Spain Armando Benitez, who plays in Hercules and has an asking price of 50,000. He is great crossing and dribbling, exactly what we need for our left side.

We play our first game, a friendly vs Scotish Premier Division Hibernian. They are favored by the odds, and anyway we are using this game to test our players and to find a good tactic for us.

We use this 4-3-3 tactic and lineup:

And it doesn't work as we lose 0-2.

It was a weird game, both teams had the same posession (50%) close number of shots but theirs were more on target (12/5 to 16/9). We commited also two penalties, but the shoted one outside and my GK stoped the other (nice from him!), else the goal difference could have been higher for them. In the second half i played 10 different players to test them, also tried R.Lowe as AMC instead of at the right side and he did way better organizing our attack than Bopp did in the first half. I also played him more close to the single forward, just in line with the to wingers and it was better as with the default tactic, the single forward was too alone and easy to be defended.

The press agrees with me:

Poor finishing costs Crewe dear in 2 - 0 defeat
Crewe Alexandra 0 - 2 Hibernian (Friendly)
In an even game at The Alexandra Stadium, Hibernian came away with victory in their Friendly match.
Crewe Alexandra failed to show the same level of ruthlessness in front of goal as their opponents and paid the price with a 2 - 0 defeat.

Game notes:
Positives:
GK Ben Williams stoped a penalty.
R.Lowe played well as AMC

Negatives:
Our forward was too alone in the middle and couldn't do anything, he needs more support. We also need to consider signing another forward with better finishing as we missed all our chances.

Benítez set for Crewe
Hércules' Ignacio Benítez has agreed terms with Crewe.
He said that he was looking forward to using Crewe's training facilities.

Good news, with Benitez we get the quality left winger that we needed. My Ass Manager is thrilled and thinks that Benitez is the best player in our squad right now, I agree.

We also enquiry Hamilton team about the young speedy Richard Offiong (the one i said was so fast but selfish). Let's see if their asking price is good enough for us.

Hamilton answer my inquiry, they want 450,000€ for Offiong!! no way as he is valued at 90k and i expected something like that. I'll forget about him for a while.

We play another friendly, this time vs another Scotish Premiership team, Gretna. The odds says this will be a tied game but it was not and we lose despite dominating the full game and having more chances, again poor finishing killed us.

Press release:

The Railwaymen made to rue missed chances
Crewe Alexandra 0 - 1 Gretna (Friendly)
After appearing to just have the edge in this hard-fought battle, Crewe Alexandra's players and fans will be very disappointed to have lost 1 - 0 to a Gretna team they consider to be their equal.

The team fas at least are happy with the dominance we showed.

Game notes:
Positives: We dominated the game and had more chances.
Negatives: We can't score and keep allowing dangerous counterattacks that cost us the game.

We play another friendly, this time vs one of our feeder teams, Alsajer. It should be an easy win and so say the odds.

We had a good posession game, and end winning but only by one. I'm starting to like how my team is playing after some adjustments to the tactics. We play beautiful attacking football, but of course it aso means taking risks on counterattacks against us. Again and again our problem is finishing all our chances.

Press release:
Railwaymen ease past Alsager
Alsager Town 1 - 2 Crewe Alexandra (Friendly)
Crewe Alexandra produced a good display this evening to see off the challenge of Alsager Town at The Town Ground.
Crewe had enough in the tank to see off their opponents during the Friendly game and always had an element of control during their 2 - 1 victory.
Game notes:
Positives:
We dominated the game and had a good amount of chances.
AML Junior Brown played a great game and scored a goal after having some chances. He did exactly what i wanted from him, start from the left and run towards the opposite area trying to find the hole in the defense to finish himself or to assist others to do it. I'll try him again in the next game but he could earn an starting job.

Negatives: Again the amount of chances missed and the counter attacks allowed.

I decided to make some players available for loan, all them young, but older than 18 that can't play in the under 18 squad but that also wouldn't see playing time in the first team this year.
I received some offers to send Matthew Bailey on loan and i accepted them, he finally decided to go to Halesowen for 3 months. they will pay his wages during the loan period and hopefully he will gain experience playing there.

Season ticket sales update
Crewe Alexandra have announced the latest figures from ongoing season ticket sales.
As of today, the club have sold 1627 season tickets for the upcoming season.
The board expect the club to sell another 1100 season tickets in the following weeks, taking the number of season ticket holders for the upcoming season up to around 2700 in total.

Barnsley make Roberts bid
Barnsley have made an offer worth up to €218,000 for Crewe's Gary Roberts.
They have set a deadline of Monday 30th July 2007 for Crewe's decision.

Umm Roberts is a key player for us and so young (20). We don't want to sell him even for that nice offer of 218k when his value is 70k. I reject it saying that he is indispensable for the club.

I decided to search for a fast central defender who can fix my problem with counter attacks. I sortlist some players and send my scout to watch them.

One of the most interesting ones is 25 years old DC Jerel Iffil from Swindon. he is a very physical defender, strong, so fast and good marking and tackling. He doesn't have a lot of mental skills like positioning and anticipation, but still agreat player. I offer his value to his team, 55,000€ but they answer asking for 110,000€ that is too much imho, so i wait for other scouting reports before deciding.

I have also fired one of my young players coaches that was not good enough and instead i offered two contracts to other coaches for my first team. Let's see if they agree to sign with us, and more important, if the board allows me to have 6 coaches when they want me to have only 3.
