PureSim 2006 Beta Test Blog

For anyone who's interested, I've got a ton of new screen shots in my PureSim 2006 beta test blog: http://www.digitalstadium.org/smf/index.php?topic=235.0

So far, the game appears to be very stable. The few crash errors that the team has found appear to have been rectified already (we're on build 3 at this point).

Thanks for the screenshots. Is the almanac fully populated? The minor league management screen is new to this years version.

Have you seen an injury during a game yet? Never saw in game injuries in last years version. Also, do players drop off the table after age 30-32?

I've made a bunch of updates... and for those of you who might be interested, I've just now seen the expansion feature work.

This, I think, is the one thing that Jim needs to put in FOF... multiple league configuration options, and the ability to expand/contract.

Oh... in answer to Fouts questions:

1. Yes, we've seen in-game injuries.
2. Not sure when they really drop off... but there needs to be some tweaking of the retirement age... in my MLB-style association, my oldest player is 37. I have four 36 year olds. Those are the oldest guys in the league. Players tend to retire VERY early, and often in an irrational manner (like, the 22 year old pitcher who had three years left on his rookie contract at $1.5 million per year). This is being looked at, though (and, in fact, may already be fixed... I haven't downloaded Alpha5 yet).
