Those crazy 80's - Must See Movies
The GF and I were driving into work today and the concept of wacky music videos and people trying new things for movies in the 80's came up, then I brought up what did she feel were must see movies. She has her list, but I come to you FOFC to see...
What are your must see movies from the 80's!

I always felt like The Breakfast Club should be required teen viewing.

What's that movie where I believe it's Sheen and a girl and another guy going cross country for some reason. Something involving one of them being a politicians son. Completely bland movie that I must have watched 20 times whatever summer it came out on video.

I cant believe you guys are listing The Breakfast Club over Sixteen Candles.
While I understand TBC is one of those iconic "this is us" type of movies, SC is flat out hilarious. So much goodness.

I concur. Similar to One Crazy Summer, but infinitely better. Most of the others I would list are already listed, but when I was in high school, Footloose and Fast Times at Ridgemont High were basically required viewing. ETA: The Sure Thing. John Cusack may be the ultimate 80's actor, although the Brat Pack would probably get more votes. Last edited by Umbrella : 05-23-2016 at 04:29 PM. |

No doubt it's due to me being a kid in the 80s, but for me the 80s nailed two genres - horror, and creepy kids movies.

The Natural
Robert Redford. Great movie. Not as good as the book. And they "Hollywoodized" the ending.
