Just to let everybody know, I haven't given up on this dynasty report. I've just been burned out from doing so many different things the past couple weeks that I had to take some time for myself and just relax. I appreciate all the posts I've gotten from other people, and I should get back into full force on this within the next few days. Thanks for the patience.

Jan. 9-15

Key Games and Performances

Jan. 10 -- Butts set a career high with 37 points tonight on 12-23 from the field and 10-12 FT as New Mexico handled Georgia St. 93-63.

Jan. 11 -- Another career high for points was set tonight, as Elkin ended up with 25, and also contributed 4 assists. Ohio St. held Michigan to 15 first half points in the 78-34 stomping.

Jan. 12 -- By far the game of the week as 2 top 5 teams went at it. It was nip and tuck all the way, but #5 UCLA hung on to beat #2 Arizona by a 82-81 margin. Nights watched this one from the stands, as he is still on academic suspension.

Jan. 13 -- A bad, bad blow for New Mexico tonight, as Butts played only 12 minutes and scored just 3 points before tearing a hamstring. This injury will put him out for about 30 days, meaning he won't be back until mid-February, at best. The Lobos did come back from a 4 point halftime deficit to defeat Gardner-Webb 70-54.

Individual Details

SF Sean Treacy -- 2 points, 2 assists in 10 minutes @ LSU(W 74-66); 5 points, 2 assists @ Kentucky(L 89-75)

SG Kyle Kappe -- 13 points and 6 rebounds vs. Washington(W 74-57); 19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists vs. Fresno St.(W 95-75)

PG Dylan Airhart -- Did not score but had 6 assists and just 1 turnover vs. DePaul(W 83-53)

PF Rick Jolley -- 2 points in 11 minutes vs. Tennessee(W 100-46); 1 point and 1 rebound @ Georgia(W 82-74)

C Coy Childress -- DNP this week; vs. Tennessee(W 100-46); @ Georgia(W 82-74)

PF Deke Prosser -- 8 points, 7 rebounds vs. Arkansas(W 89-75)

C Danny Wilson -- 5 rebounds, 1 block vs. Virginia Tech(W 74-50); again had 5 rebounds, 1 block, but still didn't score vs. Florida St.(W 104-57)

SF Larry McGillicuddy -- redshirting this season; @ #9 Wake Forest(L 67-54); vs. #21 Georgia Tech(W 96-90)

SG Brian Butts -- career high 37 points on 12-23 from the field and 10-12 FT vs. Georgia St.(W 93-63); played only 12 minutes before tearing a hamstring vs. Gardner-Webb(W 70-54)

PG Travis Elkin -- 12 points, 4 assists @ Oklahoma St.(W 80-56); 25 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds vs. Michigan(W 78-34)

PG Rob Nielsen -- 6 points, 4 assists vs. Oregon St.(L 67-56); 7 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists vs. Wyoming(W 84-63)

PF JeeberD Mack -- 6 points, 5 rebounds vs. Fresno St.(W 80-66); 9 points and 1 block vs. Washington(W 91-61)

SG Sunny Verma -- 13 points on 5-7 shooting vs. Pitt(W 91-50); 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists vs. Rutgers(W 95-68)

SF Jeff Nights -- on academic suspension this month; vs. #5 Arizona(W 82-81); vs. Arizona St.(W 82-58)

In the polls this week, Florida moves up to #3 and UCLA moves up to #4. Inexplicably, Maryland despite being undefeated drops to #5. Don't understand that at all. Also, Syracuse moves up to #6 while UConn drops to #8. Stanford drops one spot to #14 while Ohio St. makes the big jump up to #16. Oregon drops out of the Top 25, but still receives 9 votes, while Cal receives 2 votes.

I still haven't forgot about this dynasty guys, I'm just so busy right now with jobs, being sick, getting ready for a funeral, ugh. I'm still going to work on it, although I won't be able to give it as much time as I should. I'm hoping you guys with recruits aren't losing total interest because I haven't posted a lot lately. I will get back into it somehow soon. Thanks.

Guys, I'm thinking about starting up this dynasty report again. If I do, is there anybody still interested in reading about it? Give me some feedback please. Based on what you guys say or don't say, I'll decide whether it's worth the time or not. I would like to get back into it however.

Go ahead and keep going, Mike.

This is Jestor on the FBCB boards, by the way. Let me know when you open up recruits again so I can shoot myself in the mix, too.

Being a huge fan of interactive dynasties, and having abandonded a couple I've attempted in the past, I both know how much effort they take...and love following em.

To the 3 that responded, thank you very much. I can't tell you exactly when I'll have another update. Coffee Warlord, you are exactly right. It does take a lot of effort, and can get quite stressful sometimes. But I owe it to all of the guys that have recruits playing to finish. Maybe tomorrow I can do another update, if not then it will be Sunday or Monday. Keep reading though fellas, I'll have one soon enough.

Guys, I have some very bad news for you. I was going to start working on this dynasty report again, so I went to open up the file, and it was corrupted! So basically guys, it's gone. for all you guys with recruits, I apologize greatly. I was looking forward to seeing how everybody did myself. I probably won't start another interactive dynasty, as like Rob said, they really do take a lot of work and time. What I may do, however, is start an interactive coaches dynasty. I would be the head coach of a team, and one of you guys could be my recruiting coordinator, and another could be my scouting director. Along with an assistant coach. I'm not sure if we could work that or not, with me being the only one able to see the game files. But it sounds like it could also be interesting. Let me know if you guys have any ideas about that. Once again, I apologize for the file corrpution.
