OT: FM Question
In the Belgium leagues, you have to have at least two Under-21 aged players in your matchday squad for all Belgian competitive matches.
Could someone please enlighten me as to how "Under-21 aged" is calculated, exactly? Thanks, ~rpi-fan

isn't that a player that would qualify to play in a U21 match, if so, then that would 21 year old or less...

Ok... so on match-day, they need to be 21 years of age, or younger? Thanks! Another question, now... who qualifies for your own team's U-19 squad... same rule as you listed above, FM?

That's how I understand it, yes. Quote:
I'd assume so. Based on what I saw when playing in England, where they are U18 squads, although I've seen players at age 19 be allowed to play in games. I usually do (well did) a spotcheck every once in a while to move the guys that were 19 to the reserves squad... FM

In England I'm pretty sure that the players have to be under-18 on the first day of the season to be allowed to play in the under-18 games, not under-18 on the day of the game. So 19 year olds can play as long as they were 18 when the season started.

Rules for soccer leagues are notoriously odd and have some strange exceptions in most circumstances (hence the 19 years olds in U18 matches in England).
On a section in the league table screen we've tried to list as many for each of the various competitions simulated as possible, although I'm afraid there will always be some oddities which you'll have to pick up as you go .. |
