1. I think they have a good chance to be moderately sucessful 2. I could see this 3. I could see this 4. Not really much of a prediction, but I hope Romo can have a good game and the Cowboys still lose 5. Heck yeah! 6. I think they will rebound, but CC is probably pushing it 7. Tough to bet against the Steelers 8. If healthy, probably 9. I am sure |

Wow, this is fun.
1. The Chargers will be the only team in the AFC West to win more than 6 games. 2. The Lions will be the last winless team in the NFL but will still win at least 5 games. 3. Adrian Peterson will miss a significant portion of the season and the Vikings will miss the playoffs despite the presence of Brett Favre. 4. The Cardinals will be the only team in the NFC West to win more than 6 games. 5. The Patriots will score the most points in the NFL during the regular season but will lose their first playoff game. 6. Derek Anderson & Brady Quinn will each start at least one game during the season. 7. Mark Sanchez will win rookie of the year despite the Jets finishing with fewer wins than last season. 8. The Houston Texans will go 8-8. Again. 9. The Pittsburgh Steelers will have (or share) the best record in the NFL during the regular season but they will not win the Super Bowl. I probably shouldn't have listed so many multi-part predictions...more chances for me to be wrong |

Alright, let's see if I can shake some things up:
1- Steelers go 16-0 thanks to a very easy schedule (sorry, a fan) 2- Pat White becomes the next evolution in the Miami Wild Cat (he'll run, pass, and catch for at least a combined 4 tds this year) 3- Drew Brees wins NFL MVP by topping last year's numbers 4- Randy Moss catches 15 or more touchdown passes 5- Arizona misses the playoffs 6- Vick starts at least one game for the Eagles 7- Raiders get the first pick in the draft 8- Orton starts less than 12 games for the Broncos 9- Michael Turner leads the NFL in rushing Last edited by PurdueBrad : 08-14-2009 at 11:35 PM. 1. Kyle Orton will pass for more TD's, more yards and less INT's than Jay Cutler.
2. Trent Edwards will put T.O. in his place when he bitches about not getting the ball.* 3. The Bears will finish 3rd in the NFC north behind the Vikings and Packers. 4. WR Heyward-Bey has the most receiving yards of any rookie WR. 5. The Chiefs will be the worst team in the AFC. Pieolli is overrated and his personal changes were for the sake of saying, "these are my guys!" Way to fix that defense stupid. 6. The Eagles will win the Superbowl over the Ravens. 7. Peyton Manning retires at the end of the season. 8. Carson Palmer wins comeback player of the year (or at least has the stats to do so) 9. Daniel Snider, owner of the Redskins will hire a personel "expert" ala John Gruden or sombody like that at the end of the season. 10. WILDCARD: Jeff Garcia is killed during the season by either a lover or ex lover, car crash, whatever. *I'm actually really hoping this happens. A QB could totally handcuff TO by doing this. By absolutely refusing to put up with it and refusing to adjust the way he QB's the game, TO might freak out, run a bad route or even purposely drop a pass. Fine, whatever. He will get benched and run out of town after the season is over. At least someone finally stands up to his BS and that someone (I hope) will be Trent Edwards. |

Some gutsy predictions there, jbergey. Might you also like to tell us your guesses on the MLB season that just wrapped up? Do you also foresee an unhappy ending in regards to Liz Taylor's marriage to Larry Fortensky?

No fair pointing out the ones you got right, without at least acknowledging how spectacularly bad some of them are. You hit on more than most I will agree, but #4 is such an indefensibly bad prediction it pretty much outweighs all of the positive work you did here.
