A Recruits Story Pt. 2 (TCY, FOF)

Ok, I accidentally deleted the files for the original A Recruits Story and I do want to get another one up and running. I am going to do the same thing. This time it's going to be breakdown on recruiting weekly as usual, but not in the story format.

Again, about the two schools involved (I am a graduate of Timpview and my Daughter is just starting at Clarence and I am trying to get a coaching gig there)

Timpview High School (Very Good Athletic Prep and Very Good Academic Prep) has been a force in Utah athletics since its establishment in 1978. In its first year of existence, the Timpview girl's tennis team won the school's first state championship along with the boy's baseball team later that year. Timpview has recorded six state championships in basketball, most recently in 2010 under head coach Perry Wildeboer.
Due to Timpview's recent athletic successes, many rivals have surfaced for the Thunderbirds. The most notable is Provo High School, located only a few miles south of Timpview's campus. Due to their proximity to one another, many Timpview students and athletes are closely affiliated with their Provo rivals, adding to the rivalry's passion and competitiveness
Football has become a staple of Timpview athletics as well, with seven state championships since 1986. Led by coach Louis Wong, Timpview has achieved the Utah State record for the most consecutive victories, staying undefeated since their third game in 2006 against Lone Peak; the record now stands at 36 straight victories, destroying the previous record of 29.In November 2009, they held the State title for the fourth straight year. Timpview Football was ranked 21st in the nation, based on their three-peat in the 2008 State Championship. Timpview also currently holds a 20-game winning streak over their crosstown rivals, Provo High School.
Timpview has put players into the NFL over its 23-year history.
  • Lance Reynolds - Center for the Seattle Seahawks
  • Brett Engemann - Quarterback for the Oakland Raiders
Timpview coaches have also come from professional backgrounds.
  • Head coach Louis Wong played on the 1984 BYU National Championship Team and was drafted as an offensive lineman by the Cardinals in 1985
  • Linebacker coach Cary Whittingham was drafted as a linebacker by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1986.

Also known as Clarence Central High School or, formerly, Clarence Senior High School, Clarence High School is a public institution for grades 9–12 located in the community of Clarence, New York. Located at 9625 Main Street, Clarence NY, 14031, this school offers many courses and extracurricular activities, that prepare students for secondary education, or future careers. Academic subjects emphasize Regents, Honors and Advanced Placement courses. Electives are offered ranging from art to technology. There are over 30 extracurricular options that provide ample opportunities for students to expand socially.

Mark Murphy, Co-captain of Super Bowl XVII Champions Washington Redskins, Pro Bowl 1982 and 1983. Graduated in 1973. Current President and CEO, Green Bay Packers is an alumni of Clarence High School.

2004 Season

Clarence Recruits:

No recruits for the 2004 Season

Timpview Recruits:
  1. DT Shaun Lynn (57th in State, 7th DT in State, Overall Ranking of 19)
  2. ILB Britt Woodson (16th in State, 1st ILB, Overall Ranking of 32)
Britt might be Timpview's only recruit going to DIV 1 ball this season.

Week 1
Britt Woodson is visited by Ohio, is offered a scholarship right on the spot and is considering them.

Week 2
Britt Woodson is considering a visit to Snow College as they have offered him as well.

Week 3
Southern Utah University decided they wanted to become players for Britt Woodson offering up a scholarship and a visit. Right now, Snow is in the forefront with Ohio next.

Week 7

There wasn't a ton of movement and then Britt decided to travel to all 3 schools.

Week 8
Britt finally made his decision and he is heading to one of the 8 schools in Utah...

Snow College!

End of Season: Miami ends up taking the National Championship with a 27-24 win over Ohio State..

2005 Season

Clarence Recruits:
  • T Bill Ahlstrom (NR State, 15th Tackle in NY, Overall Rating of 27)
Timpview Recruits:
  • FB Greg Logan (57 State, 3rd FB in Utah, Overall Rating of 25)
  • WR Archie Wilcox (NR State, 13th WR in Utah, Overall Rating of 9)
  • WR Louie Ledesma (64 State, 6th WR in Utah, Overall Rating of 19)
  • OLB Ted Stoermer (9th Nationally, 2nd OLB Nationally, 2 State, 2nd in Utah, Overall Rating of 78)
Doubt we will see Clarence recruit Ahlstrom or Timpview recruits Logan, Wilcox or Ledesma move on to Div I ball.

The highlight of this class will be OLB Ted Stoermer from Timpview. This kid will have his pick of where he goes and it is definitely going to be interesting to see where he ends up. He is interested in Academics and Team Prestige.

Now the scary thing is, 2 of the nations top OLB in this class are coming from Utah.

Snow College

FR ILB Britt Woodson

Britt has rated out as a 17/50 and is majoring in Physics. It does look like he might see some PT this season as a rotating back. There is a FR with better ratings that is using his red shirt this season.

Week 1
Stoermer has received offers from Snow College, UCLA and South Carolina already. He is considering every single one. Based upon what he wants, UCLA is more than likely where he ends up.

Snow had a BYE

Week 2
Oklahoma is now involved in the greatest Stoermer from Utah with an offer as well.

Britt Woodson ends up with the starting nod at ILB for Snow College and has a hell of a game against Kent State. He racked up 9 Tackles, 2 Assists...What a great first game. To bad Snow dropped this one 34-31.

Week 3
Ted Stoermer decided to visit UCLA and Penn State has tossed their hate into the ring as well with an offer.

Britt Woodson ends up with 3 Tackles and 2 Assists in Snow's win over NMSU.

Week 4
As for Ted Stoermer, BYU came in this week with an offer and he takes a visit immediately, Miami calls and hasn't offered yet. He also decides to visit Oklahoma. Ted now has 2 more visits left.

Snow had a BYE week.

Week 5
The battle for Stoermer is in full effect now. Miami finally offered and Florida State has now offered. This brings his total schools to 8.

Britt Woodson racked up 2 Tackles and 2 Assists, but the biggest factor was the 27 yard interception returned for a TOUCHDOWN! Snow cruised to a victory over Dixie State.

Week 6
Well, Stoermer made his decision and the biggest factor wasn't even in the cards he specified to our scouts. He choose to stay close to home. OLB Ted Stoermer is going to be playing football for...

BYU

Britt Woodson had 5 Tackles, 4 Assists and 1 Forced Fumble in Snow's win over Air Force.

Week 7
Britt Woodson had 2 Tackles and 1 Assist in a loss to Weber State.

Week 8
Just wanted to bring up, the other nationally ranked OLB from Utah that was ahead of Ted signed with Texas.

Britt Woodson played lights out and has the best college game of his career in the win over Utah Valley University. Britt had 8 Tackles, 2 Assist and another interception returned for a TOUCHDOWN! This one was an 81 yard return.

Week 9

Britt Woodson is developing quite nicely with 7 Tackles and 8 Assists with the win over Westminster.

Week 10
In Snow's win over College of Eastern Utah, Britt racked up 6 tackles and 1 sack.

Week 11
Britt Woodson had 3 Tackles and 3 Assists in the shellacking that Snow took from Iowa State.

Week 12
Britt managed to pick up 8 Tackles and 5 Assists in the loss to Southern Utah University.

Week 13

Britt Woodson had 6 Tackles, 1 Assist and an interception in the win over USU-Vernal.

Week 14

Snow had a BYE

Bowl Game
Britt Woodson as a freshman ILB heads with his team down to New Orleans to take on Middle Tennessee State in the New Orleans Bowl.

Britt managed to bring it and had 8 Tackles and 2 Assists in the win over Middle Tennessee.

End of Season

Miami ends up taking back to back championships, this one was a 24-17 win over Nebraska.

Britt finished the season with 67 Tackles, 33 Assists, 8 Tackles for Loss, 3 INT's for 2 TDs and 1 Forced Fumble. His 67 Tackles led the team as did his 3 INT's.

Clarence Recruits:

No recruits from Clarence this year.

Timpview Recruits:
  • DE Brent Marrow (98 DE Nationally, 10 Overall in Utah, 2 DE in Utah, Overall Rating of 46)
Looks like Brent might drum up some regional interest. He is all about team prestige and staying close to home.

Snow College
SO ILB Britt Woodson

Britt has developed nicely and is now rated at 29/50 and will be starting again for Snow College this season. His play has made him popular with the team and the student body. He now has a girlfriend, Hope, who has managed to keep his mind on Football, School and Her.

BYU
FR OLB Ted Stoermer

Don't know what BYU is thinking as The Stoerm is going to be sitting the bench with a redshirt and a 43/73 rating. He is the BEST LB on the roster. No girlfriend and a team that doesn't like the fact he comes in as the prima donna. Lets hope he wins some friends and stays focused.

Week 1
Snow College was the first team to come in with an offer for Brent Marrow

Britt Woodson probably has his worst game ever in Snows win over Western Michigan. He didn't rack up a stat in this game.

Week 2
Brent Marrow is contacted and offered this week by Southern Utah University.

In a debacle loss against Iowa State, Britt Woodson managed to rack up 6 Tackles and 3 Assists.

Week 3
Brent Morrow had a contact from Bowling Green, no offer and he was also contacted by Utah Valley University and is visiting.

Britt Woodson had 4 Tackles in Snows win over Kent State.

Week 4
Dixie State has come in with an offer to Brent Morrow and he has decided to trip down to St. George and on his way down, he decided to stop in Ephraim and visit Snow College as well.

Snow had a BYE

Week 5
Brent Morrow and his parents decided to stop at Cedar City on their way back and visit Southern Utah University as well. 4 of his visits are to in state schools, he has one more left and Bowling Green has yet to offer a scholarship, just a walk on. Rumor has it he is leaning towards Snow College.

Britt Woodson ended up with 4 Tackles and 3 Assists in the win over Utah Valley University.

Week 6
No movement this week with Brent Morrow.

Britt Woodson finally gets back to form with 8 Tackles and 2 Assists in the loss to Air Force.

Week 7
Brent Morrow finally made his decision this week and it looks like he wanted to stay in Utah yet get as far away from home as possible.

Dixie State

Britt Woodson had 8 Tackles, 3 Assists and an INT in the loss to Southern Utah University.

Week 8
Britt managed 5 Tackles and 3 Assists in the loss to Westminster College.

Week 10
Snow College must be in a funk as they dropped another game. Britt Woodson had 5 Tackles and 2 Assists.

Week 11
In the win over USU-Vernal, Britt Woodson had 2 Tackles and 1 Assist

Week 12
Britt Woodson racks up 9 Tackles in Snow's win over Weber State.

Week 13
8 Tackles were picked up by Britt Woodson in a win over College of Eastern Utah.

End of Season

So for the 3rd year in a row a school from Florida ends up with the National Championship. This time it is Florida beating Nebraska.

Britt Woodson ends up with 58 Tackles, 16 Assists, 5 Tackles for Loss and 1 INT. He was double teamed a lot and had offensive lineman scraping down on him all season long.

Clarence Recruits:
  • OLB Jessie Folston (88 OLB Nationally, 88 in New York, 8 OLB in New York, Overall Rating of 55)
Looks like Clarence might actually get a player into the Div I levels this season and surprise it's another defender. He wants to stay close to home and play for a team with prestige. If Syracuse comes calling, he will sign up, but chances are he will be playing ball for Buffalo.

Timpview Recruits:
  • T Glenn Rose (86 in Utah, 11 Tackle in Utah, Overall Rating of 15)
  • S Leslie Creed (10 Safety in Utah, Overall Rating of 19)
Looks like Timpview will not be sending recruits into the Div I level this season.

Snow College
JR ILB Britt Woodson

So Britt picked up the SCE 2nd Team ILB last season. He is passing his classes and is happy and content with life right now. Heading into his Junior year he is now rated at 36/50 and still the top LB on the team.

BYU
RS FR OLB Ted Stoermer

Most players entering BYU with the type of fanfare have the initials of QB before their name, however Ted Stoermer is looking like he will probably be the best ever to play there. He enters the season rated 69/73 and his talent in practice is amazing but he needs to show it on the field. He is excited for the season and has a new girlfriend in Bethany.

Dixie State
FR Brent Marrow

Brent is coming into the season rated 14/53 and is red shirting this season. Jodi is his girlfriend and right now, his bitching about red shirting hasn't helped his popularity with the team. Only time will tell.

Week 1
Jessie Folston received a phone call from USU-Vernal with a walk on offer right now.

Week 2
USU-Vernal called and made an offer to Jessie Folston, he is currently considering whether or not to visit. Snow College has also called and offered a walk-on offer.

Britt Woodson picked up 4 Tackles and 4 Assists in the loss to Kent State.

Week 3
Jessie Folston received an interest phone call from Vanderbuilt. Right now it is a walk on offer.

Britt Woodson was on his game against Western Michigan as he racked up 8 Tackles, 6 Assists and an Interception.

And USC is the school that gets to welcome BYU and their all world OLB Ted Stoermer. Ted debuted with 3 Tackles and 3 Assists, not a great showing.

Week 4
No change this week with Jessie Folston.

Something unique this week as the two Timpview graduates faced off against each other.

Ted Stoermer introduced himself to Snow College in a great way with 11 Tackles, 4 Assists. Meanwhile Britt Woodson wasn't about to be shown up by some freshman and racked up 7 Tackles, 3 Assists and 1 Sack in the losing effort to BYU.

Week 5
Again, no movement on Jessie Folston, he still has the 1 scholarship offer and 2 walk-on offers.

In another loss, Britt Woodson managed only 1 Tackle and 3 Assists.

BYU dropped a game to Air Force with Ted Stoermer working towards 9 Tackles, 3 Assists and 1 INT

Week 6
Jessie Folston is stagnating right now and not really wanting to move to Utah. He may actually hang up his cleats if he doesn't get a local offer.

Snow College and Britt Woodson are not having a great season. In the loss to Air Force Britt picked up 6 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Ted Stoermer and BYU headed to NJ where they beat up on Rutgers. Ted only had 3 Tackles and 1 Assist but did cause a game changing fumble.

Week 7
Jessie Folston has Houston step up with a call of interest but no offer. He has decided to trip out to Utah and visit USU-Vernal, hope he enjoys Dinosaurland.

Many believe that Britt Woodson was wearing a Weber State uniform. He had 3 Tackles, 1 Assist, 2 INTs for 44 yards and a Fumble Recovery.

Ted Stoermer should be reeling from the loss that was suffered to Wyoming. In actually BYU fandom, unacceptable. He did rack up 11 Tackles and 5 Assists.

Week 8

No movement on Jessie Folston.

Britt Woodson had 2 Tackles and 2 Assists in the win over Utah Valley University.

Ted Stoermer had another 11 Tackle game and 1 Assist, this time in a loss to San Diego State.

Week 9
Jessie Folston received another walk on offer, this time from San Jose State. He is truly getting discouraged.

Britt Woodson had 7 Tackles and 1 Assist in a loss to Westminster College.

Ted Stoermer is on the national stage in a loss to Notre Dame. He did show well with 10 Tackles, 4 Assists.

Week 10
Jessie Folston decided he wasn't going to wait around, and he picked the school that went out on a limb for him from almost day 1 and has Dinosaur land.

USU-VERNAL

Britt Woodson had 8 Tackles, 3 Assists and .5 Sacks in a win over College of Eastern Utah.

In a win over UNLV Ted Stoermer had 7 Tackles and 4 Assists.

Ted Stoermer had 5 Tackles and 1 Assist in the win over New Mexico.

Snow College had a BYE

Week 12
In a win over Colorado State, Ted Stoermer had 9 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Britt Woodson had 1 Tackles and 1 Assist in a loss to Southern Utah University.

Week 13
Britt Woodson had 2 Tackles in the shutout win over USU-Vernal.

Ted Stoermer was introduced to the Holy War and close games which BYU dropped the game to Utah. Ted played out of his mind with 17 Tackles and 4 Assists.

End of Season
4 Years straight the National Championship goes to a Florida School and Miami takes this one with a win over USC. Miami has set up a small dynasty going 3 out of 4.

Britt Woodson finishes with 49 Tackles, 25 Assists, 1.5 Sacks, 7 Tackles for Loss, 1 Hurry and 3 INT's. He is also 2nd Team SCE ILB

Ted Stoermer had an amazing season with 96 Tackles, 31 Assists, 6 Tackles for Loss, 1 INT and 1 Forced Fumble. He took home, MWC All Academic OLB, MWC 1st Team OLB, All-Academic OLB, and 2nd Team OLB...not bad hardware.

Clarence Recruits:
  • DE Mark Knoff (18 DE in NY, Overall Rating of 39)
I doubt Mark is picked up by anyone.

Timpview Recruits:
  • FB Tony Eberhart (73rd in Utah, 5 FB in Utah, Overall Rating of 14)
  • G Marty Patel (262 Nationally, 29 G Nationally, 7th in Utah, 2nd G in Utah, Overall Rating of 61)
Well, we know Marty Patel will be picked up and Tony won't.

Snow College
SR ILB Britt Woodson

Britt is a senior now and is rated 38/50 and last season was not the greatest as far as causing turmoil like he did his freshman year. He still has his girlfriend and is still happy and content and passing his classes.

BYU
RS SO OLB Ted Stoermer

Ted is already looking like he will be a beast and more than likely declare for the draft after this season or next as he is rated 92/92 and is the shining star on the defense.

Dixie State
RS FR DE Brent Marrow

Brent actually dropped in his talent and isn't looking like the talent he was going to be. He is currently rated 9/53 and may make the rotation or play on special teams.

USU-Vernal
FR ILB Jessie Folston

Jessie is rated right now as a 0/27 ILB and I will be surprised if he is around after his red shirt season. Obviously he is useless to USU-Vernal this season and he needs to get his head out of the homesick and focused on being better.

Week 1

Marty has zero movement on him.

Britt Woodson has 6 Tackles and 3 Assists in Snow's loss to UNLV.

Week 2
Marty Patel has been contacted by New Mexico, TCU and Snow. New Mexico has offered a scholarship.

Another battle of Timpview grads happen with Snow College playing at Brigham Young. Britt Woodson leads all Snow defenders with 7 Tackles and 1 Assist. Ted Stoermer took the show with 7 Tackles, 4 Assist and 1 Forced Fumble with BYU going away winning.

Brent Marrow got into the win over Arkansas with 1 Assisted tackle. This win for Dixie State shocked the national landscape.

Week 3
And things get crazy for Marty Patel. Mississippi, Snow, TCU and Utah contact and all of them offer. Marty immediately visited Utah since it was right there and Utah is the immediate favorite.

Brent Marrow played in the loss to Central Michigan. He picked up 2 Tackles and 1 sack.

In BYU's loss to Notre Dame, Ted Stoermer had 6 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Week 4
And the contest for Marty Patel continues. Illinois and Westminster has called and offered as well. That's 7 teams with offers in to Marty.

In Snow's win over Kent State, Britt Woodson had 3 Tackles and 1 Assist.

BYU headed to West Point and took on the Cadets and Ted Stoermer led the charge with 11 Tackles and 3 Assists.

Week 5
Marty Patel must be happy, he gets a slight breather this week to try and decide what 4 teams he wants to visit.

Snow drops one to Westminster while Britt Woodson racked up 5 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Brent Marrow did not rack any stats in this weeks win over Southern Utah.

BYU held off San Diego St in the 4th to take a win in a high scoring affair. Ted Stoermer had 5 Tackles, 5 Assists, 1 INT for 60 yards and a TD.

Week 6
No change with Marty Patel although all signs point to him heading to Utah.

Britt Woodson had 1 Tackle and 1 Assist in a loss.

Ted Stoermer had 10 Tackles in the loss to Rutgers.

Brent Marrow had 3 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 Sack and 1 Fumble Recovery.

Loving what Woodson is doing for Snow College, but then I always like the guys that overachieve relative to what they're projected to.

Sounds like Stoermer's having great individual success, but BYU not so much as a team. Frustrating for your favorite school to be doing that, but at least you have a reason to follow the Cougars.

Stoermer is a maniac and I think he leaves as soon as he can, which I then think he does play in the NFL and I will run an FOF game alongside this (FINALLY!). The Cougars have an offense, their only defense is Stoermer...

Woodson is definitely a stud and overachieving.

Marrow has shocked me with what he has done when he gets in.

Week 7
Marty Patel has 2 new teams wanting his services at G. Michigan has brought a big press and Ole Miss wants him to become a Rebel.

Britt Woodson was one of the top defenders for Snow in the win over College of Eastern Utah with 9 Tackles and 1 Assist

Brent Marrow is out for 5 weeks due to Tonsillitis.

BYU drops one to UNLV while Ted Stoermer recorded 9 tackles and 6 assists.

Week 8
So Marty finally makes his decision on his trips. He is going trip to Michigan, Oregon, TCU, Utah and Westminster College. Based upon his major and the prestige he is looking for, Michigan should have this.

In Snow's win, Britt Woodson only recorded 3 Tackles

Week 9
Wow, Michigan pulls their offer and Marty Patel is down to Oregon, TCU, Utah and Westminster. Utah is now the favorite, perhaps that is why Michigan left.

Britt Woodson had 5 Tackles and 1 Assist in Snow's win over Weber State.

In a big time loss in the Holy War against Utah, Ted Stoermer had 10 Tackles and 3 Assists.

Week 10
Marty has yet to make his decision.

BYU was taken out behind the woodshed by Airforce and their option attack. Stoermer showed why he is the best with 14 Tackles and 5 Assists.

Week 11
Marty did pick a school to go to, it is in Utah, but it wasn't what we thought it would be. He has selected to go to....

WESTMINSTER COLLEGE!

Britt Woodson recorded 2 Tackles and 1 Assist in the win over Utah Valley University.

Brent Marrow is back and picked up an Assist in the win over Navy.

With a win over Wyoming, Ted Stoermer recorded 6 Tackles.

Week 12
In Dixie States blowout win over Utah Valley Brent Marrow picked up 2 Assists and .5 a sack.

In BYU's win, Ted Stoermer recorded 5 Tackles and 2 Assists.

Clarence Recruits:
  • P Lamar Stanislaw (8 P in New York, Overall Rating of 31)
If Lamar is picked up, I will be shocked.

Timpview Recruits:
  • RB Rob Willis (95th Nationally, 16th in Utah, 1 RB in Utah, Overall Rating of 40 )
  • CB Johnnie Johnstone (67th in Utah, 3 CB in Utah, Overall Rating of 15)
Rob Willis might be picked up from one of the smaller teams. Johnnie has one of the coolest names out there and he will not be on a team.

BYU
RS JR OLB Ted Stoermer

Ted is going into his Junior year rated at 99/99 and is more than likely in his last season of football at BYU.

Dixie State
RS SO DE Brent Marrow

Brent stepped back up just a little bit. He is currently rated 13/53 and is going to be a situational and special teams player.

USU-Vernal
RS FR ILB Jessie Folston

Jessie stuck through his redshirt year and is rated 2/27 and will probably be a special teams player and might rotate.

Westminster College
FR G Marty Patel

Marty is on a deep OL so Westminster has the ability to red shirt him without hurting from it. He is currently rated at 21/87 and if he works hard there is NFL potential here.

  • Western Michigan with preferred walk-on status
  • Wyoming with an Offer
Week 2
Rob Willis had Mississippi State contact and offer.

Brent Marrow had 2 Tackles and 1 Assist in a blowout loss to Navy.

Ted Stoermer is proven fact that if you are double teamed or ran away from you can't produce well. He had 3 Tackles in a win over Army.

Week 3
Arkansas State has contacted Rob Willis and offered preferred walk on status while Weber State has made a full offer.

No stats were recorded for Brent Marrow in Dixie State's win.

Week 5
Rob Willis had a preferred walk on offer from Kentucky. He has also chosen to visit the following schools

Funny thing is, he has picked the colleges that have offered him. He does have one more visit.

In a battle of backups, Jessie Folston and Brent Marrows teams played each other and neither one of them recorded a stat in the game.

Ted Stoermer recorded 6 Tackles and 6 Assists in the loss to New Mexico.

  • QB J.J. Swift (31st in Utah, 3rd QB in Utah, Overall Rating of 22)
  • S Renaldo Wilfork (63rd in Utah, 6th S in Utah, Overall Rating of 21)
I doubt you see either of these playing at a Div I school.

BYU
RS SR OLB Ted Stoermer

Ted is going into his Senior year rated at 100/100 and is in his final season at BYU. This kid will be playing at the next level. The thing is, BYU has some talent around him now on defense so some of his numbers may be down.

Dixie State
RS JR DE Brent Marrow

Brent was doing well, he has increased a touch. He is currently rated 16/53 and when he gets in he wrecks havok.

USU-Vernal
RS FR ILB Jessie Folston

Jessie is rated 6/27 and will probably be a special teams player and might rotate.

Westminster College
FR G Marty Patel

Marty is still stuck on a deep OL. He is currently rated at 18/87 and if he works hard he will become a starter. Right now he might be on special teams or spare time rotation.

Weber State College
FR RB Rob Willis

Rob is rated at 27/33 and is right on par with the other running backs at Weber State. He is going to be red shirted this season.

  • DT Norman Stevenson (42nd in Utah, 3rd DT in Utah, Overall Rating of 24)
I doubt you see either of these playing at a Div I school.

Dixie State
RS SR DE Brent Marrow

Brent is doing pretty good. He has managed to overcome the injury he sustained last season and has worked hard. He is currently rated at 20/53. He should definitely see some rotation at DE this season. He may start.

USU-Vernal
RS JR ILB Jessie Folston

Jessie is not happy, he knows he can produce, has worked hard to prove it and he just wants the chance to prove himself. He is rated at 13/27 and will probably be rotating at OLB this season.

Westminster College
RS SO G Marty Patel

Marty is still stuck on a deep OL. He is currently rated at 27/87 and has a chance to be named the starter. We won't know until the first game, but chances are he is going to be the RG.

Weber State College
RS FR RB Rob Willis

Rob is rated at 26/33, buried deep on the roster and may only see playing time on special teams this season.

NFL
OLB Ted Stoermer is the 3rd best OLB in the draft and is rated at 5.8/6.0, chances are he will be taken in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Well, the draft starts and is pretty hectic. Ted is at home in Utah with his family surrounding him while the teams begin....The top 2 OLB's end up going 6th and 9th and the excitement at the Stoermer house is pretty crazy. The tension is thick as it gets close to the end of the 1st round and then his phone rings. He is excited, and says he can't wait to be there. The T.V. pans back to the commissioner.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, with the 22nd overall pick in the 2011 Draft

BUFFALO BILLS select OLB Ted Stoermer, BYU."

Week 10

Dixie College head coach needs to pull his head out and get Brent Marrow in games more. This week, in the win over USU-Vernal, Brent had 2 Tackles, 3 Assists and 2.5 Sacks. Jessie Folston was a DNP this game.

Rob Willis was a DNP this week for Weber State.

Marty Patel had 4 KRB out of 6 KROs in Westminster College win over Utah Valley University.

In the NFL, the Bills dropped a game to the Chiefs. Ted Stoermer had 3 Tackles, 2 QB Hurries and 1 QB Knockdown.

Week 11

One thing I did not realize was that Westminster is undefeated now for 10 games and ranked #5 in the AP poll. Marty Patel is a big reason they are that way. This week in their win he went 3 KRB's out of 3 KRO's. Rob Willis for Weber was a DNP in this game.

Jessie Folston was a DNP this week.

Brent Marrow had 2 Tackles in the close loss to Navy.

NFL way, the Buffalo Bills dropped a game to the New England Patriots with Ted Stoermer picking up 2 Tackles, 2 Blocked Passes and 1 QB Hurry.

Week 12
DT Norman Richardson from Timpview has a walk-on offer with Western Michigan.

Jessie Folston was DNP this week.

Brent Marrow had 2 Tackles in the win over Weber State where Rob Willis recorded no stats in this game.

Marty Patel and Westminster had a BYE and they are still ranked 5th.

The Buffalo Bills had a a win over the Dallas Cowboys. Ted Stoermer had 2 Tackles, 1 Assist and 1 Sack in the game. He is now rated at 44/47 and is now the 2nd highest rated LB on the Bills roster. Paul Posluzny is the only LB better than Ted.

Week 13
Norman Stevenson is still considering the walk on offer for Western Michigan.

Rob Willis recorded no stats in the 1 point loss to College of Eastern Utah.

Jessie Folston was a DNP this week.

In the loss to Utah Valley University, Brent Marrow had 3 Tackles and 1 Sack.

With a shutout win over Southern Utah University, #5 Weber State is undefeated for the season. Marty Patel had 1 KRB out of 3 KROs in this win.

As for the NFL, Ted Stoermer had 3 Tackles and 2 Assists in a loss to the Steelers.

Week 14
The walk on offer is still on the table for Norman Stevenson.

Jessie Folston had another DNP, this time in a shutout loss to #11 Syracuse.

In the loss to the Washington Redskins, Ted Stoermer had his best game in the NFL ever and should have won the player of the game.

Ted's stats for the game were: 7 Tackles, 1 Assist, 1 Sack, 1 QB Hurry, 2 QB Knockdowns and 1 INT for 21 yards. This was his first ever NFL interception.

Week 15 / Conference Championship Week

Norman Stevenson delayed his decision to much and Western Michigan pulled their offer of the table.

Jessie Folston had another DNP this week as USU-Vernal lost to Navy.

The 3-11 Bills dropped another game. This week Ted Stoermer had 4 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Week 16 / Minor Bowl Tier

So #5 Westminster is slapped with the stigma of not being in a BCS conference and is sitting playing a 7-4 Louisiana Monroe in the New Orleans Bowl. Marty Patel had 5 KRBs out of 7 KROs in the Bowl win.

In the NFL, the Buffalo Bills drop another game this week. This one to the Miami Dolphins. In this game Ted Stoermer had 4 Tackles and 1 Assist.

Week 17

NFL is all that is going on this week and the Bills drop another game and Ted Stoermer picked up 4 Tackles and 1 Assist in this game.

End of Season

For the College National Championship, #1 Florida DESTROYS #2 USC and takes it all. Can you say Florida Dynasty?

In the NFL the Green Bay Packers take the Super Bowl away from the New England Patriots.

Taking a look back at how our players fared over the season we have:

Marty Patel took SCE 2nd Team G and SCE All-Academic G Honors. His end of season stats were 30 KRBs out of 63 KRO's for a 47.6 Block Percentage. He also allowed only 2 Sacks.

Brent Marrow did not take any honors home, but his stats for the season were impressive for the limited time he was in. 20 Tackles, 8 Assists, 6.5 Sacks, 10 Tackles for Loss, 1 Blocked Pass and 6 QB Hurries.

This was also Brents final season and his career stats were: 55 Tackles, 23 Assists, 16.5 Tackles, 26 Tackles for Loss, 9 Blocked Passes, 29 QB Hurries and 3 Fumble Recoveries.

Jessie Folston did not get into one game this season and is quite Angry and upset. He could honestly walk away from USU-Vernal.

Rob Willis managed to get into 2 games this season and did not pick up any stats. He is also discouraged with his lack of playing time this season.

In the NFL, our vaunted LB Ted Stoermer is 10th in Sacks and Hurries and is 9th in Blocked Passes. He also ended the season rated at 50/50 and won Player of the Game 1 time.

Ted's NFL Stats were: 44 Tackles, 21 Assists, 3.5 Sacks, 3 Blocked Passes, 11 QB Hurries, 3 QB Knockdowns, 1 INT for 21 yards and 1 Pass Defended.

Clarence Recruits:

No recruits from Clarence this season

Timpview Recruits:
  • ILB Barry Stuart (25th in Utah, 2nd ILB in Utah, Overall Rating of 29)
Barry has a chance of getting a walk on offer.

USU-Vernal
SR ILB Jessie Folston

Jessie is not happy, he knows he can produce, has worked hard to prove it and he just wants the chance to prove himself. He is rated at 16/28 and will probably be getting special teams play if that this season.

Westminster College
SR G Marty Patel

Marty will be a starter at RG. He is currently rated at 43/87.

Weber State College
JR RB Rob Willis

Rob is rated at 28/33. He has managed to move up the chart a little bit and may see some time at RB but should be seeing PT in special teams.

NFL
OLB Ted Stoermer is rated at 49/49 and is a starting OLB for the Buffalo Bills. He has the skill set to be a sack raging WLB in a 3-4, which Buffalo runs. The Bills went all out and picked up a ton of talent in the off season, including the #1 players and Tackle in the draft.

Week 5

Timpview LB Barry Stuart was contacted this week by Baylor and invited to walk on for the team. They fit a little better into his academics and prestige, which is what he is looking for.

We have to of the recruits playing each other as USU-Vernal travels to Ogden to play Weber State. USU-Vernal LB Jessie Folston recorded no stats in the 66-7 loss to Weber State while RB Rob Willis picked up 2 Tackles during special teams play.

G Marty Patel for Westminster had 1 KRO in 8 KRBs in a 24-7 win over College of Eastern Utah.

NFL

The Buffalo Bills went into Indianapolis and took down the Colts this week, 31-23.

Ted Stoermer had a rough day:
BuffaloTackAsstSackRPlayPPlay
OLB Ted Stoermer210.01535

Week 6

No change this week on Timpview LB Barry Stuart.

RB Rob Willis has no stats for Weber State in a 56-17 shellacking by Northern Illinois.

Westminster G Marty Patel didn't have a good game as he had only 2 KRO's and 1 Sack allowed in the 36 - 0 win over San Diego State.

NFL

The Houston Texans came in and thumped Buffalo 45 - 19. BYU grad Ted Stoermer is in a rut. He is rated now at 49/49

BuffaloTackAsstSackRPlayPPlay
OLB Ted Stoermer300.02218

Week 7

WOW, Timpview ILB Barry Stuart received a scholarship offer from Baylor and he is visiting Baylor and Wyoming this week. Hunches are, he is leaning towards Baylor.

G Marty Patel picked it up this week getting 3 KRBs out of 6 KROs and no sacks allowed for Westminster in a 35 - 10 win over Dixie State.

Weber State RB Rob Willis did not pick up any stats in his special teams play during a 20-13 win over Snow College.

ILB Jessie Folston did not record any stats for USU-Vernal in a 14-13 win over Southern Utah.

NFL

Buffalo picked it up this week in a 30-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. Ted Stoermer is still not hitting his stride like he should be. He did cause problems on a few plays, but he wasn't disruptive.

Week 8

No change this week with Timpview ILB Barry Stuart, he is still on his visits.

Another game where two recruits will be going against each other. USU-Vernal ILB Jessie Folston recorded 1 tackle in the 45-7 loss to Westminster. Meanwhile G Marty Patel was a power again with 3 KRBs out of 6 KROs and not giving up any sacks.

Week 9

ILB Barry Stuart from Timpview High School might want to make his mind up soon or he may lose all his offers. Baylor just pulled their offer to him. Now it is just Wyoming. I think his choice has been made, but we will see.

Weber State RB Rob Willis recorded no stats in the 42-14 win over Utah Valley University.

USU-Vernal ILB Jessie Folston recorded no stats in a 38-14 loss to Navy.

Westminster G Marty Patel was a dominant on the run today with 4 KRBs out of 5 KROs. He did manage to give up 1 sack in a 24-14 win over Snow College.

NFL

With Buffalo taking a 34-13 win over Jacksonville, they take the lead in their division. Ted Stoermer is still in a funk.

Week 10

Timpview ILB Barry Stuart still has the offer from Wyoming but has not made up his mind.

In a 36-15 loss to Dixie, USU-Vernal ILB Jessie Folston recorded no stats on the special team side.

For Westminster, G Marty Patel had some opportunity but did not make the best of it as he went 2 KRBs with 9 KROs and no sacks allowed in their 48-23 win over Utah Valley University. Also, Westminster is ranked 8th in the country and has a chance at a BCS bowl.

With Weber States 38-07 win over Southern Utah, RB Rob Willis recorded 1 tackle on special teams.

NFL

Buffalo gives up the game winning TD to the Jets in the 4th to lose by 1, 24-23. Ted has picked it up a bit this week.

Week 11

And Timpview ILB recruit Barry Stuart told Wyoming thanks but not thanks. This kid doesn't have the heart to play ball at the next level.

ILB Jessie Folston recorded 1 special teams tackle for USU-Vernal in their 45-20 win over Utah Valley University.

And the last game for our recruits to play against each other this season.

Weber State RB Rob Willis had 1 punt return for 12 yards in a 32-2 loss to Westminster. G Marty Patel went 3 Key Run Blocks out of 6 Key Run Opportunities and no sacks allowed.

NFL

Going to New England and trying to get back to a tie for the division Buffalo manages to pull it off with a 21-17 win over the Pats. Ted Stoermer did manage to get to the QB once, but that was about it.

Week 12

Timpview ILB Barry Stuart is intent to hang up his cleats at the end of the year and focus on school and a career.

Weber State RB Rob Willis did not record a stat in the 56 - 28 thumping they took by Dixie State.

ILB Jessie Folston, USU-Vernal, did not record a stat in their 35-09 loss to College of Eastern Utah.

NFL

The Bills managed to hold off the St. Louis Rams 13-10 in a rough game. Ted Stoermer again got to the QB once, but that was about it.

BuffaloTackAsstSackRPlayPPlay
OLB Ted Stoermer101.01028

Week 13

There is a late comer in on the recruitment field for Timpview ILB Barry Stuart. The boys at West Point decided they would let Barry decide if he was man enough to be an officer in the US Army, but he had to be willing to do it on his own.

In a 30-9 loss to Snow College. USU-Vernal ILB Jessie Folston did not record a stat.

Weber State RB Rob Willis did not record a stat in the 50-28 drubbing they took at the hands of College of Eastern Utah.

#7 Westminster G Marty Patel did not record a key run block out of 6 key run opportunities. The good news is he did not give up a sack in the 44-3 win over Southern Utah University.

NFL

With a 14-13 win over the Oakland Raiders, the Buffalo Bills are the ones that control their destiny. They must win out to make the play offs as a wild card or hope the Jets lose so they can take the division.

They will need better play out of OLB Ted Stoermer if they are going to get there.

Week 14

And another player comes in at the end for Timpviews ILB Barry Stuart. Arkansas State is asking him to walk on.

Not a good Senior day for the USU-Vernal seniors as they were destroyed by Syracuse 34-0. ILB Jessie Folston did not record an stats in the game today.

NFL

The Buffalo Bills welcomed a San Diego team into the balmy confines of the Ralph. You know, 41 degrees, rain and 14 mph winds. The Bills one 38 - 9 and Ted Stoermer had one of his better games in a while.

Week 15

Both schools realized how big of a jack ass Timpview ILB Barry Stuart was and pulled their offers. So Barry has had offers pulled from Baylor, Wyoming, Arkansas State and Army....guy doesn't want to play.

NFL

Buffalo's 34-31 loss to the Jets this week shot down their hopes of winning the division unless the Jets implode the rest of the season. The loss may also keep the Bills out of the playoffs. Ted Stoermers play is starting to improve!

New Orleans Bowl

Seventh ranked Westminster College (10-1) gets to meet Troy (6-5) in the New Orleans Bowl.

G Marty Patel is prepared and preparing for his future in the NFL. He managed 7 Key Run Blocks out of 10 Key Run Opportunities while not giving up a sack the entire game. Westminster College gets the win and might be saying fare the well to Marty.

NFL Week 16

A Jets loss combined with a the 33-9 Buffalo win over San Francisco has the Bills into playoffs. They have to win the last game. They can lose and still make it, but Pittsburgh can't win by a lot in order for it to happen. Besides getting to the QB and recovering the fumble on the same play, Ted Stoermer doesn't have much to celebrate from this game.
