2016 NFL Week 2

National TV games:

Jets v. Bills tonight
Colts v. Broncos late game Sunday
Packers v. Vikings Sunday night
Eagles v. Bears Monday night

Vikings opening up their new stadium Sunday night.

Bengals-Steelers should be interesting. The Bengal defense is not what it used to be... I think the Steelers will run all over Cincinnati. Of the Bengals last 8 wins in this series (dating back to 2003), 6 of them have come in Pittsburgh.

Seriously. Not sure if it's stemming from a joke report or something, but both John Clayton and SI.com are reporting it.

Rams have not made the playoffs since 2004-the longest streak in the NFC-how is he rewarded for that?

What the fuck. Kroeneke obviously hasn't accounted for how fickle LA fans can be. He may well end up with a nice 2.6 billion complex and 40k fans to watch the games if he's not careful

If I am lucky enough to go to heaven when I die, I think that I will ask God the following three questions, in order:

(1) Why do little kids get terminal illnesses?
(2) What was up with the double slit experiment?
(3) Why did it take the NFL so long to realize that Sam Bradford and Jeff Fisher were not good?

I kinda wonder if Ivory had a bad reaction to viagara or something.

So I have been a Sunday Ticket subscriber for ages and ask this question only out of sheer curiosity. The Rams left St. Louis and thus freed local fans from one shitty game, a sometimes removed other game, and NFC West meaningless games. However in their place they are now shoving the Bears and Chiefs down the local viewers throats. So no Cincinnati/Pittsburgh they get KC/Houston, last week we were one of like four markets to get Chicago/Houston and for some asinine reason this week the Rams game in the afternoon. Who makes these decisions? Is it aTexans fan that makes these decisions?

Related to an earlier play in this one. I think that was the first time I ever saw a defensive player get called for taunting on a play where they just gave up and 84 yard touchdown.

The Bills are really awful. I can't tell if the performance of the Jets tonight makes the Bengals win look better or not.

WTF is with this announcer? Taylor just made two awful passes to receivers that were wide open and he is praising him for being "smart enough" to not throw the ball to the receiver that was blanketed?

More terrible clock management when it comes to getting OOB.

Can anyone explain to me why the Bills initially lined Manuel up outside before he motioned over for the sneak? The clock was running. He moved out from basically under center with 0:56 on the clock, and got back to take the snap with 0:48.

Did they think they were going to fool the Jets with NO ONE lined up for a snap?

Yeah, that was stupid by McCoy but they shat at least 20-30 seconds off the clock with those two plays. I still don't know how NFL coaches can fail to manage the clock that badly

Thats Phil Simms isn't it? He's the porky pig of announcers.

Sounds like your market got annexed by Chicago and KC as a secondary market. Good thing is that you should at least get 2 games during one slot and 1 in the other.

I'm guessing after the game the three of them got in a heated exchange about who to blame for what, then after a bunch of finger pointing the boss walks in and Rex flops to the ground yelling bloody murder. Boss separates them and decides its easier to fire one guy than to fire two.

Rachel Nichols mentioned this as a brilliant move by Rex as Roman was the most likely in house replacement if the Bills decided to fire him during this season.

I'm actually impressed if Rex was smart enough to pull that move off.

If he was in their plans post-Rex, management wouldn't have let Rex fire him.

The protest movement is going very well. I'm impressed. Thinking ahead, the NBA will follow suit and will no doubt look to "trump" the NFL's efforts. Exciting times for American sports.

Okay beloved Cardinals you let me down in week one, but this is TB coming to town this week, not NE. Surely you can win this one right? right?

It's mandatory to stand in the NBA, it's optional in the NFL. NBA is the most progressive sport in our country, it'll be interesting to see what Silver does about it. What'll most likely happen is that the players will find something else they can do to show protest but while standing since the physical act in itself doesn't matter.

Arizona is a good team on paper, we're hoping it's what's not on paper that gives the Bucs the edge. It would certainly be the Bucs "welcome back to the party" moment if they win again on the road.

Black Power Fist seems the logical choice then, but I predict some will also kneel and take the fine.

Seems like that's true for most pre- and post-game shows. Watched NFL.com's preview of the NO-NYG game. It was 5 minutes. 1 minute of talking about what Cruz said about Norman not covering Brown and 2 minutes of people cracking jokes about how one their notebooks was thick and how he drew play art on the page (about a different game)....because that's not a good thing apparently.

And the 2 minute of actually talking about NO-NYG game was worthless because the "funny" guy (read: guy who knows shit about football) monopolized the time.

Granted, the Fins defense are playing like garbage, but Jimmy G? Very impressive. If he keeps this up I hope Belichick sees him as an heir apparent and not a blue chip trade bait.

So far on the highlights I've seen Will Fuller go for 50 yards and Isiaih Crowell run 85 for a TD... And both are sat on my fantasy bench
