Free to play games (phone, etc)

I guess I'll start a new thread. Is it just me or are there just an obnoxious amount of ads in these games lately? I understand the whole concept of having in-app purchases. But having to watch a 30-second commercial routinely is crazy. It does seem like you can pay two or three dollars to avoid a lot of this stuff. But at the same time, what gives?

I'd rather read or watch a downloaded Netflix or Showtime movie than sit through anything that has commercials. YouTube only gets a snippet of my time for that reason. I don't even really have time for cable, unless it's a live sporting event where there are commercials. I fuss at the Mrs for watching a movie with commercials if she could stream it, commercial free. What a colossal waste of time.

uBlock Origin works wonders with YouTube on the desktop. I literally never see an ad there.

If you subscribe to Google music you get ad free YouTube.

This is like, clear one level of a word game, watch a 30 second ad for another game that's probably full of obnoxious ads. Toy Blast for example.

I don't think I get any 30s there though, or at least rarely. And anything longer than 10s that doesn't give me a skip within 5s, I just force close the app & reopen

There's only so many ads for black hair care products & women's vitamin formulas at Walgreens I can sit through

I was like some word game. One of the ads I got was for a drug rehab place. Guess I got to kick my opioid addiction!
