Franchise Modes on Console

Regardless of sport, does anybody know if there is a franchise mode that offers unlimited seasons? If not, whats the most seasons being offered?

I never understood why there are limits on these. Its not like the console games have to compile a huge number of stats. But no, off hand there are none I know of.

Likely limited so you feel more forced to buy next yearly patch...version.

Madden has pre-built draft classes, so they can't go beyond that number.

Wow! That is good to know. I will pick that up then for sure.

It is really disappointing that games don't even mention how many playable years they give you. That is why I came on the board to ask.

They don't do stats compilation well enough for me to care about playing that many seasons into the future. I wish they did, though. At a minimum, it would be nice if NCAA showed you more than your last 4 years' records. I played a ton of NCAA11 last year and made it through about 15 or 16 seasons, I think? I'm in the middle of season 6 (9, if you include the 3 seasons I simmed to start my career), and it's already mid-December. I usually lose interest in playing football games by late January, so I doubt I'll get close to last year's number of seasons. Would have helped if the game didn't sit for 2-3 months before they patched it up.

For console games. I don't think I've ever played more than 5 seasons, at the most.

I had on-going NCAA and Madden franchise modes back in 2003 where I'd play a season of NCAA, import the draft class, play a season of Madden and so on.
