Time Warner Cable IntelligentHome

Anyone have any opinions on this? I've begun some research on the various home monitoring systems out there when I came across this service.

Time Warner Cable Introduces IntelligentHome

Being a TWC customer, I'm leaning towards something like this, which seems to be a complete home management system including controlling lights, thermostat, and viewing camera feeds from a remote location (your smartphone).

I'm wondering if anyone has this type of service or something similar?

I would never willfully sign up for a TWC service if there was another option.

I'll just ignore the two guys that posted after you.

I've had the service at my house for about 6 months now. I only have a couple sensors and a camera so it's not as fully extensive as many customers have, but I know just about everything about the service and product (since I do the training for it). It is pretty extensive what it does at this time yet we don't have a couple of the modules that will really make it sell, out yet (the take over module that allows you to use your existing alarm sensors being the main one).

All the modules that are out work as advertised, all the sensors are wireless (Zigbee) and have long ranges. The touchscreen (which is the device that connects to the monitoring service has both hardline (cable) and cellular backup. You can access the system via both Android and iOS devices as well as a computer. The only negative is the cost of setup, but I guess it's pretty comparable to the competition out there. Just an FYI we've offered security service (in some form) for nearly 30 years, but it was mainly in New York up until 1 year ago. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have regarding the service.
