Laptop Help
Hey guys and gals,
The wife's Toshiba Satellite (about 2-3 years old) has some sort of monitor issue. It started with a single line running from the top of the screen to the bottom. Now if you touch the screen or the plastic casing surrounding the screen, it rapidly flickers. I'm assuming the laptop is pretty much done for and that for the money it would cost to repair, I might as well buy new. Am I correct in this assumption? If so, other than camping out on Black Friday, any recommendations for decent prices on laptops? Thanks in advance |

If you've somewhere decent who will repair it then it'd be possible to fix the screen if they can source parts HOWEVER it may well cost more than a new laptop.
PS - I'm also interested in decent laptop deals at the moment ... so please post any recommendation (low end but bigger than the netbook screens). |

For what I do anymore, I am going with a netbook for my traveling and turning the gaming laptop into my desktop machine basically.

I'm thinking I'm going to go this route also- anyone have some advice on finding a good netbook, what should I look for? They all seem to have the same processor and HD size. I see some have windows 7, is that something I should go for or avoid? |
