Went to see I-Cubs game

As a Cubs fan who's son lives only about a half hour from Des Moines we have started taking in an occasional I-Cubs game. Sandberg coming in to manage the team is very cool for us Cub fans.

Got online shortly after tickets went on sale and bought two seats in the front row right next to the Cubs dugout. These are like the MLB seats with the newly remodeled stadium, IE even with the front of the dugout. So, Sat. July 10th us and Ryno up close and personal.

We get to the game excited to see Ryno as he seems to be much more accessible then he was as a player. Hoping for maybe a photo if we were lucky. Waiting in our seats for teams to come out and it's announced that "so and so" will be managing the I-Cubs in Ryno's place. WTF, He's out of town! Are you fucking kidding me?

Game was good though and got to see Jay Jackson pitch, pretty impressive game from him. Lots of fun but what bad luck.

Too bad you didn't get to see Sandberg. He was managing in the Futures Game on Sunday which is why he was out of town. You could try again after a game, especially a day game. I doubt he'd be very accessible right before a game though.
