Hattrick - The Bees
If the other board becomes available again I'll provide a link to the beginning.
The Club Youth Squad: inadequate Investment in the Youth squad: 20 000 US$ / week Goaltending Coaches: 3 Assistant Coaches: 6 Sport Psychologists: 1 Spokepersons: 5 Economists: 1 Physiotherapists: 5 Doctors: 1 The economist was added when I approached 200k in debt, but seems to still be pulling in more than he is costing me. My youth squad made it up to inadequate this week. The youth pull however, was not inadequate. The Coach Will Wilson (7568258) 52 years, wretched form, healthy A inadequate coach who prefers a strong defensive game A controversial person who is balanced and honest. Has passable experience and inadequate leadership abilities. Nationality: USA Assessed value: 0 US$ Wage: 500 US$/week Owner: Bees Warnings: 0 He was approximately my 5th or 6th change, and while I'm not happy with an inadequate coach, I wanted to spend my money somewhere else at first. He is a defensive coach, which I would prefer right now since I have two solid scorers. Economy Cash funds: -108 772 US$ (-156 120) US$ Sponsors: high on life Supporter Club: 612 members Supporters: high on life The cash will look a lot better after the game tonight. We may have already outgrown the stadium. I didn't realize how well the team would do, and therefore how quickly the supporters would grow. Those who were reading before might be wondering how we went from a little over 200k in debt to only 108k. We sold our best backup, Freddie Spain, and ouy best all around player, starting right winger Burl Maurer for a combined 130k after fees. Burl was 29, and so actually went for only 35k of that amount. Have fun dominating Mercury this week! I'm still feeling the team out, and haven't bought any real impact players, so your guys should tee off on us.

Players
I'll put the relevant attributes in bold. Goalies Ron Muller 221 000 US$, 22 years, poor form Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: solid Playmaking: wretched Passing: disastrous Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous Scoring: poor Set Pieces: weak Grover Barrett 99 000 US$, 21 years, weak form Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities [Quick] Stamina: poor Keeper: inadequate Playmaking: disastrous Passing: wretched Winger: disastrous Defending: disastrous Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: inadequate Ron was my biggest splash in the transfer market, and while I'll be feeling the effects for a long time, he was worth it. Wing Backs Mikey Siegel 31 000 US$, 27 years, passable form Has poor experience and poor leadership abilities Stamina: inadequate Keeper: wretched Playmaking: poor Passing: poor Winger: inadequate Defending: inadequate Scoring: weak Set Pieces: poor Mikey is my only Wing Back, although I do have other options in case of injury. I will switch up the side he plays on depending on the skill of the opponent. Central Defenders Robert Rodrigues 75 000 US$, 26 years, passable form Has poor experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: inadequate Keeper: wretched Playmaking: wretched Passing: passable Winger: poor Defending: passable Scoring: weak Set Pieces: solid Ruben Sherwood 37 000 US$, 22 years, inadequate form Has wretched experience and wretched leadership abilities Stamina: inadequate Keeper: wretched Playmaking: wretched Passing: wretched Winger: poor Defending:solid Scoring: weak Set Pieces: disastrous Joshua Lutz 38 000 US$, 25 years, inadequate form Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities [Quick] Stamina: weak Keeper: wretched Playmaking: weak Passing: weak Winger: weak Defending: inadequate Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: weak Ruben and Robert are my best starters. The defense is the weakest part of my team, which is why I'm glad I bought Ron Muller and have a defensive coach. Joshua Lutz is my best sub at almost every position, more of a statement on my other subs than him. Inner Midfield Lance Seaman 71 000 US$, 23 years, passable form Has wretched experience and inadequate leadership abilities Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: solid Passing: poor Winger: weak Defending: weak Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate Antonio Peris 69 000 US$, 23 years, passable form Has poor experience and disastrous leadership abilities Stamina: excellent Keeper: wretched Playmaking: solid Passing: weak Winger: poor Defending: poor Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: solid Alvin Sheldon 59 000 US$, 26 years, passable form Has weak experience and passable leadership abilities Stamina: solid Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: passable Passing: weak Winger: weak Defending: poor Scoring: weak Set Pieces: inadequate Ryan Polk 10 000 US$, 34 years, inadequate form Has inadequate experience and inadequate leadership abilities Stamina: excellent Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: solid Winger: wretched Defending: weak Scoring: weak Set Pieces: solid Ryan is my best passer on the team, but it isn't enough to get him in the starting lineup. Alvin, Antonio and the Screamin' Seamen's favorite Lance start for me. Lance is my only player to advance from training. This group seems like it is a good group, but I'm not sure why it is as dominant as it is. We had 94% of the possession in our last game with Janus. Granted, they suck, but we have never lost the possession battle. Passable form and solid stamina or better may hold the clue. Wingers Desmond Horton 57 000 US$, 20 years, inadequate form Has disastrous experience and disastrous leadership abilities [Unpredictable] Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: inadequate Passing: inadequate Winger: weak Defending: inadequate Scoring: wretched Set Pieces: weak Paul Moyer 58 000 US$, 23 years, passable form Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities [Head] Stamina: inadequate Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: passable Winger: inadequate Defending: wretched Scoring: weak Set Pieces: wretched Robert Neal 4 000 US$, 23 years, passable form Has wretched experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: wretched Winger: wretched Defending: weak Scoring: poor Set Pieces: poor Desmond got promoted when Burl Maurer was sold early in the week. Burl was probably the best player on the team, but I had to make a move financially, and he was 29. Paul and Desmond are not really the quality I'm looking for, but for now they'll do. Robert Neal is the least bad of my remaining subs, so he gets the sub spot. The flipping of a coin was not used in this decision, no matter what the press says. Forwards Rich Ladd 62 000 US$, 22 years, inadequate form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: solid Keeper: wretched Playmaking: poor Passing: weak Winger: disastrous Defending: wretched Scoring: solid Set Pieces: poor Chad Gallegos 104 000 US$, 24 years, solid form Has wretched experience and poor leadership abilities [Quick] Stamina: passable Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: weak Passing: poor Winger: weak Defending: weak Scoring: solid Set Pieces: inadequate Korey Moffett 16 000 US$, 19 years, poor form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: wretched Playmaking: inadequate Passing: weak Winger: poor Defending: disastrous Scoring: inadequate Set Pieces: inadequate This may be the strongest group on the team. I was given 2 solid scorers, and you can't complain about that. Korey is ok as a backup, I guess. He did get a hat trick against sterlingice's team. Chad Gallegos is currently injured, but should be back within a week. He will probably play this week. THe Rest Bert Fortner 1 000 US$, 19 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and disastrous leadership abilities Stamina: poor Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: wretched Passing: disastrous Winger: wretched Defending: poor Scoring: poor Set Pieces: disastrous Edgar Boyer 1 000 US$, 18 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and passable leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: wretched Passing: poor Winger: poor Defending: wretched Scoring: disastrous Set Pieces: wretched Jason Mcneill 1 000 US$, 19 years, passable form Has disastrous experience and weak leadership abilities Stamina: weak Keeper: disastrous Playmaking: poor Passing: wretched Winger: wretched Defending: wretched Scoring: poor Set Pieces: wretched These guys suck. Bad. If I weren't worried about injuries they would be gone. Overall Initially I thought I was given a very bad team, because I had only 1 player over 100k, and 2 over 50k in value. Results and the skyrocketing of a couple of players value have changed my mind. The increase is due to the form increase of most of the players. We are plus 17 in form changes without training form, plus 15 in stamina from one week of training in stamina, and plus 4 in experience. This team is probably good eniugh to win the league, if not this year, then next. |

Good luck. If healthy I plan on getting some backups some playing time. Maybe even some of the scrubs. If they have to be on the team, I should try and make them better. |

Bees - Janus 7 - 0
Date: 2/3/2003 at 01:00 Arena: Bee Hive Crowd: 8141 8141 spectators arrived at Bee Hive, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Bees had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Muller - Rodrigues, Sherwood, Siegel - Horton, Peris, Sheldon, Seaman, Moyer - Gallegos, Ladd. Janus started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Crowe - Wilson, Maynard, Harris, Huang - Cromwell, Gilman, Grace, Aldrich - Gamble, Melton. Bees made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in from the right hand side left Lance Seaman completely alone with keeper Shane Crowe, who made a spectacular block. Janusīs Edgar Melton refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon in the 26:th minute. Bees took the lead in the 29:th minute of the game by 1 to 0, as Rich Ladd elegantly received a pass going deep, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. In the 31st minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Lance Seaman dashed through, knocking home 2 - 0 for Bees. Bees put themselves up 3 - 0 when Chad Gallegos broke through on the right, leaving the entire defensive box behind him. By now Bees were drawing the troops back in order to defend their lead. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Beesīs Alvin Sheldon putting the lead up to 4 - 0. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Bees held the ball, with a clear 89 percent possession rate. 60 minutes into the game Bees were awarded a penalty that Antonio Peris turned into 5 - 0 without a problem. A bit later, a magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Beesīs Rich Ladd putting the lead up to 6 - 0. The referee showed Beess Mikey Siegel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. In the 76:th minute of the match the visitors central line of defence had to look on as Mikey Siegel dashed through, knocking home 7 - 0 for Bees. Bees held the ball, with a clear 95 percent possession rate. The most dominating Bees player was without a doubt Chad Gallegos. Desmond Horton was a disappointment, however. Janusīs best player was Connie Huang. Bud Wilson on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 0. Bees Midfield: weak Right Side Defence: inadequate Central Defence: solid Left Side Defence: passable Right Side Attack: inadequate Central Attack: inadequate Left Side Attack: inadequate Ratings: Ron Muller *1/2 Alvin Sheldon ** Robert Rodriguez ** Ruben Sherwood ** Mikey Siegel ** Desmond Horton * 1/2 Antonio Peris **1/2 Lance Seaman ** Paul Moyer *1/2 Rich Ladd **1/2 Chad Gallegos **1/2 Team Played Goals Points 1. Buckeyes 8 2 - 36 0 Thanks go to Harsh for beating Puro Chivas on the road. I need 2 points plus beating them to pass them, and 4 plus beating Seawatch Surf. If they could draw their game that would be nice. Puro has dropped 5 points from their last 2 games, letting us have a glimmer of hope. NEXT ROUND RidersOfTheStorm - Bees Janus - Seawatch Surf Harsh - The Timaaaah's Milwaukee Stormers - Puro Chivas Puro and Seawatch should both win easily this week. I expect to win, and maybe Harsh could put a little distance between me and The Timaaaahs. Harsh is a new team, and apparently one to watch next year if I don't get promoted this year. If they can beat Seawatch in a couple weeks it will make my job easier. |
