Really? Because NtN announced he had a bag of magic beans? Err Food.

I see NO reason why we would trust anyone to be the only individual on a work detail.

We didn't see any arrests, so the only thing we should be susceptible to is a bunch of wolves faking their work.

I laid out two folks for Food Dist., Two x3s for Oratory, with three backups. The pass on Oratory should free up everyone else for Gladhanding and Food Distribution.

I'd think it makes sense to have lots of backup on either of them...Unless of course Abe announced that Food Distribution was actually "in the books".

That's pretty definitive. I should probably learn to perform two minutes of review before I go off and make snide remarks to my counterparts.

Since it's official...I guess everyone should be Gladhanding.

The day finishes here in Cabin Creek and all appears to be well. You quickly breathe a sigh of relief. Whew! The work is all complete, you successfully added Mother Jones to your group, and you are ready to move on.

Cabin Creek is successful. This counts as two successful camps for Labor.

(No work was faked, don’t make me do the math)

Night Actions are due tonight at 1:00 am. As a reminder, no members of Labor may take any actions tonight due to Martial Law declared by Governor Glasscock (unless told otherwise by me via pm).

Good luck on the morrow!

The first element for the game ending event occurred today. Was it the mission? The completion of Cabin Creek? An action by the Sympathizers? One by Labor? Some other unknown event? Will the element be for or against Labor?

After the strikes ended, on Sept 19, 1913, with the success by the miners in several negotiations – The coal operators and owners in the area form the Coal Operator Protective Association with a budget of one million dollars to prevent future success by the union.

Whoops, i skipped one of my historical sections. This was supposed to be yesterday, but you'll get it.

In response to the tragedy of the Bull Moose Special, miners grabbed guns and marched to the Baldwin-Felts and National Guard depot at Mucklow and attack. At least 16 will die in the confrontation, mostly mine guards.

By the way, looks like this one is headed towards a top ten spot on the "most posted WW games" list. Which would give Abe 3 of the top 11 entries. Congrats on the continued success moderating games.

Isn;t anyone curious about why ntn would use that food today? We already had the day wrapped up, even without the use of those magic beans. Why not save them for tomorrow to see if they would help us more.

If you are a wolf why not use something like that to buy favor on a day when there was no chance for them to stop us anyway?

IIRC he used them before we went on the mission, so it allowed us to load up there.

I wouldn't say loading up as you were the only person to go on the mission after that happened.

I questioned using it today to be honest. in fact that is why I let it out of the bag early so that ifothers did not want it use today I could have waited. (Mainly though I was just annoyed that ihad not gotten it a day earlier. )
I figured it would definately stop any non work because we would be more asured of getting the camp(s) and maybe the mission too (my mind was more on the camps though)

A BOOM is heard again!

Apparently not every member of Labor is a good law-abiding citizen. Someone has blown up the tipple on a nearby mine! During the Martial Law!

The explosion and subsequent fire are causing the entire Creek valley to glow during the night time. It’s very pretty. You watch the glowing blaze for hours. All of the mines bosses and their gun thugs are rushing to and fro and trying to resolve this.

No Sympathizers may take actions on Night 6, due to the frenetic activity over the bomb. You are helping your bosses out, instead of doing whatever else you may or may not have been planning to do.

Night rises and you move to Lens Creek, in southern Kanawha County, where the miners are in need of some serious assistance.

Organization: 10
Treasury: 8

There is no mission today.

However, upon your arrival, you find that the town has been warned of your impending-ness. This will be harder than it would otherwise have been.

Good luck!

In 1913, Harry Hatfield, of the Hatfields and McCoys, becomes the new Governor after running on a pro-union campaign. He ends many of the extravagances of the Glasscock administration including ending Martial Law and disbanding the military tribunal, letting Mother Jones out of house arrest, and even pardoning most of those miners and affiliates that were incarcerated as a result of the military commission.

His pardons are conditional however. Those pardoned may never again join a union or participate in pro-labor activities or else their pardon is revoked and they will be remanded to custody and taken back in to serve the remainder of their time.

That is the ultimate yellow dog contract.

It's late, I'm exhausted. I'll be on tomorrow. I'll throw my point where it's needed tomorrow. I think we have 1 x3 in each of those areas? I think BK in treasury and Glengoyne in Organization? If I recall correctly at least, I thought it was Schmidty missing on organization that cost us before.

I wonder if there aren't as many sympathisers as we thought. Maybe using a night action to alert the next camp? If this is the case maybe he/they believe that is their best chance at winning. I hope that is the case and not another potential conversion.

I also hope TheNorm was just saying that he couldn't scan to keep the wolves off guard and that he actually could. I can hope at least.

Oh well, taking the dog outside and getting to bed.

I wanted to do a lot more with the votes/work action tonight but to be honest the earlier migraine trouble, the size of the thread and NBA 2K9 has led me in a different direction.

Oh, and for those who may not know, the tipple is the part of the outside machinery that loads and unloads the train cars, and generally includes a silo and trough and sometimes a spout.

I wish I could've, but I didn't receive one of the lucky lottery PM's from Abe for that.

Alright, hitting the bed here in a moment--since there's no mission I probably won't check back on here until after work (around 4pm or so).
