Sunday, November 13th, 2163: In his apprentice season in the Continental League, George Johnson put up some quality statistics to sew up the prestigious Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award.

This talented Noblesville first baseman posted a .295 average while accumulating 190 hits, 35 home runs, 93 RBIs and 94 runs scored in 162 games. He drew 31 walks as he fashioned a solid .348 on-base percentage.


Colorado's Peña Wins 2163 Newcomer Trophy
Sunday, November 13th, 2163: Bernardo Peña put together a sparkling rookie season to snag the Republic League's Benny Myers Rookie of the Year Award for 2163.

In 162 games, the Colorado right fielder hit .260 with 163 hits, 26 home runs, 99 RBIs, 55 walks, 82 runs scored and a .322 on-base percentage.

Gabriel Prado Award Announced, Winner is Hebert
Tuesday, November 15th, 2163: The Halifax Winter Wolves have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making.
It's George Hebert, this year's Continental League Gabriel Prado Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance.

Hebert compiled a 17-8 record in 32 starts, tallied 164 strikeouts in 208 innings and recorded a 3.16 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .248 batting average against him.


Colorado Ace Wins RL Gabriel Prado Award
Tuesday, November 15th, 2163: Reginald Oprel of the Colorado Rancheros might be an old man, but he can still pitch with the best of them. Today the 36-year-old hurler snagged the Republic League Gabriel Prado Award honors for his outstanding 2163 performance.

He posted a 2.94 ERA with 17 wins, 9 losses, 172 strikeouts and 47 walks in 242 innings.

Super Season, Shafer Wins Hideaki Tanaka Award
Wednesday, November 16th, 2163: Aaron Shafer has been around Front Office Offseason League enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2163 season, he's taking home the Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Continental League.

The Halifax shortstop put up a batting average of .300 with 29 doubles, 5 triples, 34 home runs and 111 RBIs.


Noonan Selected RL's Best Batter
Wednesday, November 16th, 2163: What a way to finish off the year -- being honored with the 2163 Hideaki Tanaka Award in the Republic League. It had already been a very special season for Omaha's Les Noonan, but today's announcement really put the icing on his cake.

All season long Les Noonan gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .323 as he collected 194 hits, 36 doubles, 4 triples, 22 home runs and 97 RBIs.
